Hartebeests are recently evolved? I thought they were fairly ancient and basal animals? I know they’re definitely wildebeest relatives, as well as bontebok/blesbok.. similar face. And common, Cape, and Patterson’s elands are definitely seven FEET tall…not meters hahaha. The Lord Derby’s (giant) eland species are about 8 or 9 feet with the horns. Much thicker bodied animal. But the seven meters figure isn’t too far off though, as elands are known to leap that distance from a stationary position. People who raise them or keep them have to make sure their fences or walls are ten feet high, minimum, and arch inwards at the top.
Our African mammals in calauit safari in Palawan Philippines are came from Kenya Africa dropped in the Philippines in 1977 to preserve and conservation
They hopefully meant feet, I think, hahahaha. However-and maybe you know this-eland can JUMP about 7 metres from a standing position! I also can’t tell if this video is an A.I. or robot voice…or a real human lol.
Beautiful. Would like more videos of Antelopes from this channel.
Thanks for watching....we'll surely do that!
I wish I could visit Africa's Savannah and grassland someday to see these amazing ungulates. From the Philippines here.
