Crazy to hear that Phantom Blood has been found. Almost. I think it’s only a matter of time before someone steps forward and dumps it if it really is the full movie.
Funny how it was uploaded for 2 days then taken down. Though thankfully people have downloads it, so it’s only a matter of time before someone uploads on either Mega or Internet Archive.
So I think now is the best time to bring this up finally. I am counting on this being the big help to find this. So I am the creator of a certain notorious adult swim iceberg chart. In there I listed various pieces of lost media from the network and I've talked about them a lot. The thing that by far got the most infamous on it though and I still get asked about to this day is the falcon punch bumper. To put it short it's a couple of connected text bumps from around 2013 or so with fans that has them and adult swim directly referencing the move and Captain Falcon. I've talked about more specific details elsewhere. I've recently tried contacting adult swim about it but never heard back. So now I'm relying on asking you to bring attention to it. It worked with the foster's bumps and I wasn't even trying there and care about those a lot less than this lol. Plus I promised others interested I'd bring it up here. I hope this ends up helping a lot and peaks your interest too. I'll go into more detail or bring up other lost adult swim lost media if anyone asks. Thanks.
On the topic of lost media, one piece of lost anime media that I would LOVE to see get found someday (aside from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood movie) is the Anime Tenchou x Touhou Project collaboration anime that was only shown at a convention and private screening, and was supposed to get a DVD release, but never did for some reason.
@@aaronbasham6554 There have been a few Touhou anime made, but this one never saw the light of day outside of a couple convention screenings, private screenings, and screenings where Ufotable (the animation studio responsible for animating the collaboration, known for animating the Fate series and Demon Slayer) was present, like I said. And also like I said, it was stated a couple times that it was supposed to get a DVD release, but it never happened for some reason, and the only things that have resurfaced are some screenshots, a promotional video or two, the full storyboard (which is still pretty big), and maybe a couple minutes of footage, although I don’t know if those couple minutes are still widely available online anymore.
@@aaronbasham6554 I didn’t see Marisa at a tree in the storyboards for Anime Tenchou x Touhou Project, so you may be thinking of A Summer Day’s Dream/Musou Kakyou, Fantasy Kaleidoscope ~The Memories of Phantasm~, or Hifuu Club Activity Record: The Sealed Esoteric History. If it’s the scene I’m thinking of that you mentioned, and it was Sakuya using 「The World」, then that was Reimu she used her attack on, and was A Summer Day’s Dream/Musou Kakyou.
So happy you mentioned the Goku in KOF 98 build, SNK games aren't really talked about much, let alone lost media surrounding them, and I'm glad it made it into this video
As someone who listened to Ne-Yo music (especially _Independence)_ and watched Cartoon Network, I am dumbfounded that Ne-Yo getting his own animated show on CN. The second premise of "I Heart Tuesday" sounds like Percy Jackson in a nutshell.
yeah this is the first i'm hearing about it, of course I did admittedly lose interest in CN back in the 2010s as their lineup didn't really appeal to me.
The Goku in KOF thing reminds me of another piece of lost media, Ash Williams from The Evil Dead series was going to be a guest character in Mortal Kombat 11, a chainsaw noise was in the dlc trailer, Dialog between him and another character was in the files, and emails for the game had licensing info for Army of Darkness in it Yet he was replaced last minute by The Joker from DC comics, Netheralm has yet to release anything that was finished for Ash
The first story was very interesting, and it’s very strange that no one after all these years had uploaded or wrote-down-and-posted-online that script or at least the network added a pdf of that script to the DVD release. Also, why hasn’t anyone tried contacting any writers from the show to talk about it?
I've talked to Matthew Jenkins before at a comic con, one of the coast to coast animation directors. Really cool guy. If I get the chance to talk to him again I'll ask what happened at the end of the pod episode. 😅
@@jnyfmg Nothing actually happened. Because the ending was never made. It was an inside joke at Williams Street. Andy Merrill won the Bid. It ended 12/3/1999 at 11:40 AM EST with the winning bid of $4700($6200 today). How do I know it was Andy? The username that won was "lotsabraks".
@@jnyfmg hey! If you’re in Columbus, there’s a convention going on, called animate! And he’ll be there next Sunday with Dan Schneider, giving away three cans of signed ham
Possibly the saddest and maybe even scariest thing about lost media is the fact that it might be lost for good. A few examples that I could think of are: Omega Weegee from MUGEN Mission Hill Original Broadcast (containing copyright music) Bollywood 2003 And possibly a personal one to me that I couldn’t find any documentation on whatsoever (a lost glitch from SpongeBob SquarePants Movie The Video Game)
@@ineedausername124 Tape Wiping (or junking) is definitely why many films, shows or even episodes are most likely gone for good, (as seen by The BBC and many Game Show Channels mainly NBC) but its still a miracle that some content from that era has been preserved in some capacity
For me, it’s probably the fast food kids meal toys I remember from the early to late-ish 2000s. I’ve tried looking in a lot of places and asking around, but I pretty much came up empty-handed (for the most part, I did find 1 photo or 2 of what I was looking for, but everything else yielded nothing). The crazy thing is I probably could’ve had what I wanted, if I just held on to certain things (the toys themselves mostly, but also any advertising flyers I had my hands on), because it’s crazy how there’s nothing online available for this stuff when it already existed before.
@@aldxbaran I personally agree. I only learned about the Omega Weegee case nearly a month ago. I randomly came across a video from about a decade ago showing gameplay footage of Omega Weegee (which as far as I’m aware of is the only footage of him in game) Some people got in touch with the RUclipsr that uploaded the footage asking if they still have the character in their possession, and bad news, the user replied stating that they no longer have him. So unless someone comes forward with the character saved and downloaded in their copy of the game, it seems unlikely that he’ll ever resurface
The weirdest thing ever is thinking about how something that was rare and desired as the Burger King and McDonald's toys mentioned in this video may have been landfill for a long time now.
you should probably talk about how people on Bulbapedia bought scripts for the Pokemon Best Wishes Team Rocket vs Team Plasma double bill. apparently Pikachu was supposed to be temporarily indisposed while the Sunglasses Krokorok dug down to the Relic Castle so the gang could avoid Team Rocket, Ash completely avoids the Trio and Pikachu's electrical energy resonates with a meteorite; Ash had to let the others escape from the hole they dug, and he sacrified himself by pretending to be a lost trainer, while the gang left with Pikachu to nurse it to health. Looker shows Officer Jenny and the Gang a Team Plasma pin that he found on the scene. At the end of the Double Bill, James was supposed to be somewhat aware of Yamask, which hides before they could turn around to see it. in the actual show's canon itself, they just happened to bump into it, but James captures it easily because it just wanted some food. as for the animation for the double bill, a majority of it was repurposed for the Meloetta arc for the anime. EDIT: also, a scene described inside the script mentions that Pikachu was supposed to unleash a superpowered Electro Ball attack (which was utilized in the Meloetta episode), the character Pierce was not a double agent. Ghetsis' is shown in shadow (and named by the Plasma grunts). Cilan mentions the meteorite was from the Nacrene Museum (and mentions Lenora). the thing about the script wasn't that Team Rocket found the meteorite inside the relic castle, but that they found a chamber that had ancient technology which seemingly the ability to generate energy, to power the meteorite, but had no way to control said energy. because Pikachu unleashed a gigantic Electro Ball, this gave the Team Rocket Trio the justification to continue tracking it down.
damn that sounds awesome! sucks that it'll probably never surface, but at least we did get a very cool three-part episode to make up for it. Apparently the reason this episode never aired is because by the time enough time had passed after Fukushima Black and White 2 had come out and had a different origin for Team Plasma so the show had to make that three-part episode to remain consistent with the games.
If you wanna go further than The Bottle, look at Sandstorm. It's something Araki did before The Bottle, and the only proof of its existence is a few lines from Araki himself in one of his manga guides, since the one-shot was abandoned and left unpublished entirely
Lots of mods for video games in the 90s and 2000s for quake doom and the sims 1 are considered lost media to this day as they were created for user host modding websites that have since been shut down in the later years
This mod/ROM hack situation is gonna get a whole lot worse soon as well. With so many mod authors (for games new and old) only hosting their mods/hacks on Discord servers that'll eventually cease to exist, it's only a matter of time.
Honestly, as much as it sucks that Snatch is basically an incomplete episode we'll never see the ending for, I feel the abrupt ending fits the episode well, and the episode itself is great and funny enough that an abrupt ending isn't unsatisfactory or anything.
It's hard to believe that the Phantom Blood Movie is borderline found- just having to be documented. Space Pirate Dio is nearly here! But more, videos like this remind me how not everything is preserved- I mean, Araki didn't even preserve his original character sheet for Dio. There could be other rough details lost to time.
Oh MAN seeing that old space ghost promo and the old websites (I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY'RE STILL AROUND!!) gave me such nostalgia. I was 11 when I started watching SGC2C in 1998 and I remember getting on my old piece of shit dial up computer and looking at some of these sites, still unchanged. Thanks for the throwback!
Speaking of LCD games, you should cover the Tetris Game & Watch, which existed for decades only as an Internet rumor, until videos recently surfaced of a functional, playable prototype.
Another unconfirmed lost media for the pile: in 2001, there was a contest sponsored by Embassy Suites where the winner would appear in a three minute Rugrats short. No one knows for sure if it was even made, let alone who won.
It’s weird because I could’ve sworn there was a logo revealed for I Heart Tuesdays and I also remember not caring for it lol. All I cared about was Ben 10, Adventure Time, and Regular Show at the time.
Honestly, if someone did a thorough search through the wayback machine or some search engine that can filter by year, theoretically you might be able to find the website of the guy who supposedly bought the listing and see if there's any other info about that person there (ex. way to find/contact about the script). Because there were probably only so many fansites of that . . . persuasion floating around the internet during that period of time. However, the psychological damage someone would take from that kind of search is a big dissuasion lmao.
Honestly, one piece of Lost Media that went lost forever was a Furby Maker Wheel. On the 2012 Furby Site, there was a wheel with accessories like glasses and Party Rocker Furbies. Heck, you could even share it to people! Sadly, every page of that website has the make wheel completely lost.
Does anyone else remember a Mario kart double dash meme video from around 2008-2009ish that showed you how to unlock sonic? I remember the requirements being ridiculous like beating mirror mode on all maps without getting hit
The mention of lost fast food toys reminds me that I've currently been searching for one as my collectible "white whale". Transformers Wiki mentions that there was a blitzwing toy for a transformers animated mcdonald's promotion and has a photo of it. It seems to have been a foreign market exclusive though (I think France?) and I've never been able to find a listing for it anywhere. I've found old forum threads from the 2000s where people were trying to buy or sell it, but none of the history on those deals seems to have been archived and it hasn't turned up anywhere since. Maybe I'll find one some day, but for now Mcdonald's Blitzwing waits in the shadows alongside Golden Kirby and Yoshi.
That last one hits me hard with nostalgia, I remember I got the clock-looking toy with Peach and Bowser spinning around inside it when I was very little, so little in fact I had no idea who they were or what a video game was, good times. It was the normal one though, I don't know if they sold the gold variants in my country.
Regarding 0:29, YES, I FONDLY Remember it. It was basically an in house Williams Street STAFF Joke they were playing on each other during the Fall of 1999(This was during the Development of Adult Swim). The October 15,1999 SGCC Episode "Snatch" was itself ENTIRELY an inside joke. Written and Made for the Producers Amusement, the eBay bid was just that...a Joke. No viewers were OLD enough to bid on the Ending(SGCC viewers and fans were teens and young teens), the gag as explained by Dave Willis himself dressed up and role playing as a Colonial Man was that the Episode ended on an Endingless Cliffhanger, the Actual Ending was never meant to be made or aired. Although an Alternate Version of Snatch did Air on CN in February 2000, it was just with a very poorly done SFX "The End" logo. As for the ORIGINAL 10/15/1999 airing with Willis doing the eBay Promotion, I HAVE it on DVD. Recorded on a Fujifilm Tape back when it aired. Burned it on DVD in early 2007.
Uh...the promo was released on a Space Ghost DVD. Also, just because you may have watched the show as a teen, doesn't mean that Adults didn't watch it. There is absolutely no proof to much of what you just said.
@@newguy371 Yes there is. The Bid ended on December 3,1999 at 11:40 AM EST in Atlanta,GA. The Winning Bid was $4700($6200 today) and the username that won was "lotsabraks". You can infer exactly who that was.
Not quite. SSV Perfect was put in test units so there were a lot of chances for copies on carts either in the possession of SNK or Yuki Enterprise. The story is sketchy, it most likely was SNK ending aggressively the relation with Yuki and Yuki trying to stay on SNK’s good side, pull the plug on the update immediately and hid the carts so they won’t end up like Aruze, Eolith, Mega, Viccom and Noise Factory. Yes, Kawasaki got himself a lot of enemies when he decided to get back all of the old SNK, but Yuki doesn’t seem to be one.
@@OM19_MO79 That is all theoretically true, but I remember the official story being that the binaries were in the head developer's backup computers when Digital Eclipse went seeking out bonus material for the Samsho Collection (thus why KoF98 crossover would be comparable). I don't recall if any MVS cartridges were ever actually found. Though do feel free to update me on that if I'm incorrect. I wonder if Ryu and Ken would look like their SvC Chaos art, or would be directly ripped from the CPS1 Street Fighter games...?
I actually own two golden toys from Burger King when I was 5. I had gone to BK often because I have always loved Burger King and I had really wanted to get a golden toy because I loved playing my GBA. I believe the first one I gotten was one of the golden Kirbys that spins like the one in the video. It was late at night and I had gotten a lucky feeling and I swore to my mom that I was going to win the golden toy and I had to go to Burger King right at that mom. "Mom, I need to go to Burger King NOW, I am going to win the golden toy". At that very moment I had opened the toy and I had won. The game that I had to mail away to receive was Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. Now one of my favorite games of all=time and I doubt I would have played it had I not won the promotion. The other toy I had received was actually well after the promotion had ended, maybe a year or two, but who knows how long it had really been. As we all know in our childhoods days felt like months and months felt like years. Anyway Burger King was no longer giving out Nintendo toys in their kid's meals, but fortunately they ran out of whatever toy they were giving away at that time. To my surprise at the time I was given a little blue bag. I joked saying "what if I won the golden toy again". I opened the bag up and I found a little golden Mario and FLUDD. I had my mom call the hotline and ask if we could still redeem the toy. Unfortunately by that time the promo had already ended so I could not redeem the toy. Either these toys are more common than currently believed, or I was the luckiest kid ever. I don't know where they currently are but I am certain that I still have them somewhere. I just asked my mom and she says that she had put them away somewhere, but she is uncertain as to where. I am going to have to look for them and hope I find them, but if I do, part of this media will no longer be lost media. If I ever do find them in my attic I will probably post about it on the lost media subreddit.
@@da_real_alex6933 There is no update to report as of yet. I have a lot of old toys and games that I've obtained over the years that it is going to be a while before I find it. I will make sure to leave an update if I ever do.
There's a couple of lost media that I can recall: 1. The CN Live movies. These consisted of ReAnimated, A Live-Action, 2D Animation hybrid that would become a series called Out of Jimmy's Head, Firebreather, A CGI movie that ended in a cliffhanger in hopes of being greenlit for a series, but didn't, and some 3rd movie that I don't remember the name of. These three movies are actually made to explore alternatives to 2D animation and seeing which one was the most popular in order to save money. All 3 movies never got home releases, nor are they available for streaming in any service. The same applies for Out of Jimmy's Head, which kickstarted CN Live. 2. The Sailor Moon DiC dub. Go into any streaming services, and you will never find the DiC dub anywhere. In its place is an all new dub that's more closer to the Japanese version. Only bits of this dub can be found on the internet, but not the entirety of it. 3. The Nicktoons: Battle for Volcano Island "bikini" prototype build. There's one pre-release screenshot of the game that shows Sandy in her Treedome "Undies". In the final game, her default outfit is the Underwater Diving Suit and her unlockable alternate costume is a Cheerleader uniform. She only appears in those undies for 3 pre-rendered cutscenes, and no model or texture data remains for that particular costume, although her Cheerleader costume is seemingly built off that lost costume. 4. Some Dreamworks crossover special. I may have a memory of one such crossover, but it might be the mandela effect playing a trick on me. 5. Any WWE match that has "He who must not be named" involved. Ever since this unspeakable wrestler murdered his entire family and himself, the WWE decided to write him out and bring back Vince McMahon from his supposed fate. Any master copies of this wrestler's matches have been destroyed. 6. The original cuts of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3. Most episodes would have covers or parodies of copyrighted music playing in various scenes, but in recent rereleases, most of said music are replaced with music from Captain N, especially Mega Move. The Super Mario World cartoon appears to be unaffected, especially when Ghosts "R" Us has a parody of Michael Jackson's Thriller in one scene. 7. The uncensored versions of Super Monaco GP and Final Lap, which resulted in the formation of international law that prohibited tobacco, drug paraphernalia and alcohol products being mentioned in video games. Only the revised, censored versions were ripped and dumped.
actually that's not true about number 2, wcostream has the entirety of the DiC dub, also Re-Animated has been found(as Mr Enter reviewed it) although unfortunately several episodes of "Out of Jimmy's Head" are still missing in English. I don't see what's so taboo about mentioning Chris Benoit's name, yes it was a tragedy what he did, but an autopsy did show he had severe brain-damage(no doubt from all of those chair shots to the head, some of which are wince-inducing) which had to have affected his judgement and state of mind and probably made him go crazy and do what he did.
At this point, every time I see a new video on this channel, I got ahead and give it a like. Such awesome content, plus you have a very soothing voice. Look forward to your content always ✨️
Great video. I remember hearing about IHeartTuesday & I'm sad it never got made. I could easily see it airing on Friday nights with the likes of Juniper Lee & Class of 3000. Also I love those golden burger king toys even though they're just normal toys spray painted gold color. Those still look pretty neat & I'm sure collectors would go nuts for them.
Please, make a video or mention the 1989 Tv show called Tugs, it was a great show with a lot of passion put in to it, the show was short lived and only 13 episodes were made. The show is just filled with Lostmedia, early cuts od episodes, cut scenes, lost promo material, Scripts that are held back by their owner, missing models and props and much more
This makes me feel lucky to have snagged a 20 year Kirby 64 rare key chain figure of Ribbon. I personally have desired figures but often they’re just so much money and they still sell fast! If I see something rare I do try to snag it.
I hope someone can help with this as it should most likely count as lost media. After seeing Space Ghost Coast to Coast in this episode, it reminded me of some people cards I saw years ago. Around 1999-2000, my friend had a bunch of printouts in a folder of really random but well-done pokemon cards on white printer paper. They all had the same set symbols for "PL" or something similar, I thought maybe it was "Pokemon League." I remember some of these ridiculous cards being an Ice Energy card, a Zorak's Charmelion and a mew evolution called "proteus" or something like that. I have been looking everywhere for these images, especially the Zorak's Charmelion card. It had Zorak on it with the title pokemon as though he was on the stage of Space Ghost. I think they were really well made spoofs, but the images were too clean and good looking
I wonder if the KOF unused characters actually were implemented in test builds, or if the dev is just trolling people. Seems like a lotta work to animate characters and plan their movesets if you know they won't be in the final game.
I wonder if the Space Ghost plush counts as lost “media” or I need to search more into it. Also I wonder if someone in Alabama proposed a golden yoshi to their wife instead of a ring. Things like these wake me up at night, and the original little Einstein’s. Freaky
I'm pretty sure there's a type of lost Media that fits your description, i think it's called Lost merchandise and yes I'm also pretty sure that physical media can count as lost.
I remember Burger King did a similar "gold toy" gimmick for their Simpsons Movie toys, with each figure getting its own varient, even with a special base. I don't belive you could've traded them in for a prize like the Nintendo ones, so I guess that's why there's pictures of those 15 gold toys.
You can't just tell me that the Phantom Blood movie has allegedly been found and switch to the other lost Araki related thing like that man I almost had a heart attack 😂
Man, I loved those Burger King Nintendo toys back in the day. I had the Yoshi, Kirby, and I think Diddy Kong was one I had too. Was so cool to have toys of Nintendo characters since I didn't know of any others being sold in stores at the time.
Conker and Dream weren't surprises. Rare has their 'Rare Look At' series that show the games clearly being emulated. We've known for a long time that ROMs have been ripped and they're sitting on someone's hard drive.
Another good example is the Pink Crows music videos. While the songs are available, the only evidence the animated videos exist are from Japanese magazine scans. Otherwise there's no leads on which production company to contact. And the actual duo Nowhere (think that's their name) have never done anything with PC since the 80s, and are in their 70s with still no word or interest about it.
The story about the video being uploaded on WinMx and then "taken down" doesn't convince me. Simply put, that's not the way a peer-to-peer sharing program works: there's no centralized place where files are stored, and it's each user connected to it sharing the files they have in their designated folders (with identical files between users being associated to one unique hash ID code regardless of what filename they may be respectively given, just to say that files can't be simply "hidden" by renaming them so as to elude the program's search engine). Once it's out, it's out ( _if_ it's out, of course).
My older sister got the golden Diddy Kong toy when we were kids! I am pretty sure it was donated by my parents and we do not have it anymore. She won the WarioLand 4 game on the GBA :)
[EDIT: my brother's account has the golden dk as it's profile picture and is first reply to this comment - will post more images on a subreddit later, r/lostmedia removed post lol). My brother and I have a gold Donkey Kong still! Will try and get a pic of it in next 24 hours or so and put online somewhere. My brother and I knew they were rare asf and have looked them up for value every now and again but could never find anything on it, just figured it'd be one of those things that's best priced at "whatever buyer would be willing to pay." To be clear, not planning to sell it, but we were curious lmao Also, just for info's sake, we did redeem for a game - we got Link to the Past. We were initially kinda bummed because we already had that game but we either each had a GBA of our own or we got a second soon enough after and had a BLAST playing through the original Four Swords. lol
My dad had one of those golden Burger King toys and we found it while going through boxes in a closet that hasn't been touched in a decade. We didn't know it was worth anything so we threw it away :( it was the Kirby one
I remember seeing that Space Ghost episode and that Ebay listing. Speaking of Space Ghost, anybody remember the “Only Kid In The Universe” contest to promote Cartoon Planet on TBS?
I Recorded the Episode Snatch Back when it first aired 10/15/99. I also remember Dave Willis dressed as "Colonial Man". The Entire eBay Bid was nothing more than an Inside Joke at Williams Street. It was a joke that Employees there were playing on each other. The Final Bid Ended Friday Morning 12/3/1999 at 11:40 AM EST with the Winning Bid totaling $4700.($6200 Today) with the Winner using the name "lotsabraks". Meaning, it coulda been Andy Merrill. The Date of the Bid were 10-15-99 to 12-3-99 Lasting a total of 6 weeks.
I remember coming across in a forum there was a link about NE-Yo talking about I heart Tuesdays in a video interview but the link was dead, guess that's more lost media for you.
I want to know if anyone out there knows about Not Necessarily the News? It was a show in the 80s and not many episodes are out there. For a show written by Simpsons creator and inspired Mo from an actor called Rich Hall who created sniglets and even the word spork, I’m just curious
The entirety of finding lost media reminds me of the "come with me if you don't wanna die" quote. Our line a boat pulling whatever fell into the ocean out and preseveing it.
If we do get "I Heart Tuesdays", it should be renamed "Die Hard Tuesdays" and it’s about a group of teens who have to save the world from a zombie infection, and it all happens on a Tuesday
I think the "completely" lost moniker should be saved for lost media that has been destroyed or lost by the copyright holders (e.g. Doctor Who early episodes). Some of these examples, such as Hirohiko Araki's contest entry, I Heart Tuesdays, Space Ghost Ending script, and golden toys could resurface by either the creators or contest winners. Just because no one has come forward doesn't mean it's "completely" lost.
Ok so the gametap episodes WERE on dailymotion for the longest time. They're a lot shorter than your typical space ghost episodes and honestly pretty crap. If you cant find them nowadays just know you're not missing much
There's a Alternate Version of the 2007 Family Guy Episode "Peter's Daughter" that Guest Starred Macaulay Culkin(Because he and Mila Kunis were dating at the time) , Reportedly, Mac recorded ALL of his Dialog(As the Voice of Michael Thomas Sennett, an Intern at Dr Hartman's Clinic and obvious reference to My Girl) but this version of the Episode with Culkin never made it to air and instead the character's dialog was cut in half and half assed with his voice being done by Writer Chris Sheridan instead, throughout, the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Macaulay Culkin's name was billed as one of the upcoming Guest Voices, It is Possible that the 2007 SAG Writer's Strike might have caused the Episode with his Recorded dialog to be scrapped. Another Theory to why this version was scrapped could be due to Culkin's then limited contract clause with 20th Century FOX that they were trying to set up Michael as a reoccurring character, but that he wasn't obligated to appear and Guest Star as one. This Version of Peter's Daughter Remains unaired. Supposedly in it, Michael Treats Meg like a Princess and Berates Peter for his abuse and mistreatment of her, also in this version, Kevin Swanson returns, this time voiced by Scott Grimes and he and Michael Fight over Meg with both of them wanting to Elope with her. There's Rumors that MacFarlane had several DVD+Rs of this Episode burned and handed out to Cast Members and Staff at Fuzzy Door and that Despite being Married to her Former That 70s Show co Start Aston Kutcher, Kunis still has a Copy of this alternate version nicknamed "Macaulay Culkin's Family Guy Episode". Other than the episode likely being available ONLY to employees at Fuzzy Door Productions, this version remains unaired, was never included on the DVD Collections, Never made to Adult Swim, and since FOX never cleared its production code for licensing and airing, it Remains LOST to the Public.
You should talk about the tegami bachi scan it content, the Tegami Bachi Jump Land Wallpapers and Jump Festa 2011 as a Whole... (That Event is Extremely Lost, Like Vary Little Footage) (also 12:11 replay for myself)
i remember back in 2002 when the nintendo toys were being sold at burger king i saw a lady with the bowser and peach gold toy, and i excitedly was telling her that she won a gameboy advance and had her tell the BK employees they seemed confused and the lady was excited but seeing it in the wild as a kid i was hella excited for her
Some times I hear some one else discuss lost media, and its one you didn't cover yet and I think of you. Most recently people have talked about Lost Mario media
I Heart Tusedays makes me think of a throwaway line from Buffy season five.... "Dawn's in trouble? Must be Tuesday." The joke being that Buffy aired on Tuesdays on UPN. Lmao
18:44 Super Mario Advance was actually a GBA port of Super Mario's Bros 2, Super Mario Advance 2 was the GBA port of Super Mario World. It's confusing, I know, especially when you consider that Super Mario Advance 4 is a port of Super Mario Bros 3!
I'd have to double check to make sure, but I think I have a gold or silver shark from a Little Mermaid happy meal. I don't think there was a contest, other than the metallic variants were cool and less common.
Hello there. I really enjoy watching your videos and i'm sure I've watched them all by now lol. I wanted to mention a piece of lost media to you that i've wanted to see in years. There used to be a show called "disney pixar's cars toons" which ran from 2008-2014. But season two episode five; "to protect and serve" was cancelled before airing. But not before a read-a-long book version of the plot released in shops. There is proof of its existence and a lost wiki page about it, i just hoped to bring more attention to the topic because this would mean the world to me if the episode did one day appear.
This reminds me. Robert De Niro's film debut, along with David Gale, the actor I created this page around, was in a movie called Encounter (1965) which is completely lost. Apparently, the nearly finished negative was put into storage before the creator went away on a trip, and when he came back, the storage facility had shut down and misplaced all of his items. A sad loss!
Man i remember these. No one will believe it but my dad and I pulled a golden Kirby when i was around 3-5 years old (25 now) the toys came with a voucher for a free game and that’s how i got my copy of knightmare in dreamland (still own to this day)
I don’t know to call it lost media but in 2006 Burger King released a line of toys for the movie “X-Men The Last Stand” and there’s little to no evidence about the toys which is weird since the kidsmealwiki says they were available in the US and internationally
Food Fight '02 because it has sadly been confirmed that it wasn't stolen. It was DESTROYED by the director.
Why?

Thanks.

On the topic of lost media, one piece of lost anime media that I would LOVE to see get found someday (aside from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Phantom Blood movie) is the Anime Tenchou x Touhou Project collaboration anime that was only shown at a convention and private screening, and was supposed to get a DVD release, but never did for some reason.
...wait, the what? I swore I saw that online?
@@davidspraguedragonman6479 then which one is the one that involved Marisa going to a tree for a fight?
There is also a supposed undocumented Touhou OVA By Ufotable According to some Images of A Poster I have Seen.

The Goku in KOF thing reminds me of another piece of lost media, Ash Williams from The Evil Dead series was going to be a guest character in Mortal Kombat 11, a chainsaw noise was in the dlc trailer, Dialog between him and another character was in the files, and emails for the game had licensing info for Army of Darkness in it
Yet he was replaced last minute by The Joker from DC comics, Netheralm has yet to release anything that was finished for Ash

The first story was very interesting, and it’s very strange that no one after all these years had uploaded or wrote-down-and-posted-online that script or at least the network added a pdf of that script to the DVD release. Also, why hasn’t anyone tried contacting any writers from the show to talk about it?
Yeah, I’m very surprised no one has tried to at least make up and lie about it.
I've talked to Matthew Jenkins before at a comic con, one of the coast to coast animation directors. Really cool guy. If I get the chance to talk to him again I'll ask what happened at the end of the pod episode. 😅

Goku showing up in an SNK fighting game would have been the equivalent of Sonic appearing in Smash bros Brawl for Latin countries
Possibly the saddest and maybe even scariest thing about lost media is the fact that it might be lost for good.
A few examples that I could think of are:
Omega Weegee from MUGEN
Mission Hill Original Broadcast (containing copyright music)
Bollywood 2003
And possibly a personal one to me that I couldn’t find any documentation on whatsoever (a lost glitch from SpongeBob SquarePants Movie The Video Game)
MUGEN character lost media is an interesting subject
@@aldxbaran I personally agree. I only learned about the Omega Weegee case nearly a month ago. I randomly came across a video from about a decade ago showing gameplay footage of Omega Weegee (which as far as I’m aware of is the only footage of him in game) Some people got in touch with the RUclipsr that uploaded the footage asking if they still have the character in their possession, and bad news, the user replied stating that they no longer have him. So unless someone comes forward with the character saved and downloaded in their copy of the game, it seems unlikely that he’ll ever resurface
While a lot of these could be lost forever, the SpongeBob movie game glitch could possibly be found if we knew what version it was of.
That’s really cool
YES
damn that sounds awesome! sucks that it'll probably never surface, but at least we did get a very cool three-part episode to make up for it. Apparently the reason this episode never aired is because by the time enough time had passed after Fukushima Black and White 2 had come out and had a different origin for Team Plasma so the show had to make that three-part episode to remain consistent with the games.
Anything lost forever makes me sad
If you wanna go further than The Bottle, look at Sandstorm. It's something Araki did before The Bottle, and the only proof of its existence is a few lines from Araki himself in one of his manga guides, since the one-shot was abandoned and left unpublished entirely
Lots of mods for video games in the 90s and 2000s for quake doom and the sims 1 are considered lost media to this day as they were created for user host modding websites that have since been shut down in the later years
ts2 hosting sites have been slowly decaying and its honestly so sad
This is a he case for many old games. I used to have so many mods for need for speed 4 that are impossible to find now. Also the old swat games.
The videos where your being AWARENESS to lost media is good. Please do more
It's hard to believe that the Phantom Blood Movie is borderline found- just having to be documented. Space Pirate Dio is nearly here!
But more, videos like this remind me how not everything is preserved- I mean, Araki didn't even preserve his original character sheet for Dio. There could be other rough details lost to time.
The Moment Phantom Blood Drops, I'm saving it to my SSDs.
That's super cool.
There’s something spooky about completely lost media
Another unconfirmed lost media for the pile: in 2001, there was a contest sponsored by Embassy Suites where the winner would appear in a three minute Rugrats short. No one knows for sure if it was even made, let alone who won.

Because there were probably only so many fansites of that . . . persuasion floating around the internet during that period of time.
Maybe I'll find one some day, but for now Mcdonald's Blitzwing waits in the shadows alongside Golden Kirby and Yoshi.
if something is only 99.9% lost, I don't think it's fair to say it's completely lost imo

I'd hold out hope for the KOF98 Goku build. They DID manage to find Samurai Shodown V Perfect under similar circumstances, if I remember correctly.

There's a couple of lost media that I can recall:
Most of the media you’ve mentioned if not all aren’t lost at all.
>Firebreather
God, I remember how hard CN was pushing the advertising for it.
The original versions of Super Monaco GP are out there and I’m sure for Final Lap too
actually that's not true about number 2, wcostream has the entirety of the DiC dub, also Re-Animated has been found(as Mr Enter reviewed it) although unfortunately several episodes of "Out of Jimmy's Head" are still missing in English.
The space ghost one is one of my favorite pieces of lost media. To think they put a ending on EBAY is nuts. They were probably joking but still.
I fear Phantom Blood was lost, I am amazed it finally popped up. Hope to find it eventually.

Andy Merrill won the Bid. Andy of course is the voice of "Brak".

Also, just for info's sake, we did redeem for a game - we got Link to the Past. We were initially kinda bummed because we already had that game but we either each had a GBA of our own or we got a second soon enough after and had a BLAST playing through the original Four Swords. lol

I never saw that Space Ghost Coast to Coast ending!
It's seen in the episode Snatch through it's original ending, later reruns of the episode have a THE END card.
That's because it was NEVER made. It was just an Inside Joke at Williams Street.
This was done way before Adult Swim existed.
@@DirgeHole-2866 I know. I remember when it aired and Recorded it. I ALSO remember the date the bid ended and which username won.
@@Tornado1994 So are you telling me whoever bought the ending got ripped off?
I actually still watch The Brak Show & Space Ghost Coast To Coast to this day. I own 2 volumes of SG on DVD, plus both volumes of The Brak Show too!
That’s great to hear! I enjoyed both SGC2C and The Brak Show.
@@DirgeHole-2866 Me too!
A good topic of lost media that can be a good video is the story of Yes' music video of Leave It.
Replicating pods! The kind that keep you up all night with their coughing!
Surely if you liked Mario enough to want to find the golden Yoshi then you'd already own the game so what's the point?
If we do get "I Heart Tuesdays", it should be renamed "Die Hard Tuesdays" and it’s about a group of teens who have to save the world from a zombie infection, and it all happens on a Tuesday
snk devs: we added goku, ryu, and ken just to mess around while developing :)
epic games devs: hold my beer.
Oh shit, you're telling me they didn't give solid gold prizes out to kids?!? 😂
Great video, random note but at 11:21 when you say "era" you sound like a beat boxer
Ok so the gametap episodes WERE on dailymotion for the longest time. They're a lot shorter than your typical space ghost episodes and honestly pretty crap. If you cant find them nowadays just know you're not missing much
New body music video - there’s a snippet online but has fully never been found
There's a Alternate Version of the 2007 Family Guy Episode "Peter's Daughter" that Guest Starred Macaulay Culkin(Because he and Mila Kunis were dating at the time) , Reportedly, Mac recorded ALL of his Dialog(As the Voice of Michael Thomas Sennett, an Intern at Dr Hartman's Clinic and obvious reference to My Girl) but this version of the Episode with Culkin never made it to air and instead the character's dialog was cut in half and half assed with his voice being done by Writer Chris Sheridan instead, throughout, the 2006 and 2007 seasons, Macaulay Culkin's name was billed as one of the upcoming Guest Voices, It is Possible that the 2007 SAG Writer's Strike might have caused the Episode with his Recorded dialog to be scrapped.
Wait, Didn't The First One Also Have a Scene Of Them Playing Sonic 3?
"Gum Disease?" Yes. It showed Space Ghost playing Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
I guess you can say that Brolly's bid was MAXIMUM
The Star Trek Christmas special better be on here
Love the videos, man. Keep it up!!!
You should talk about the tegami bachi scan it content, the Tegami Bachi Jump Land Wallpapers and Jump Festa 2011 as a Whole... (That Event is Extremely Lost, Like Vary Little Footage) (also 12:11 replay for myself)
Tetsuo from AKIRA technically made it to KOF games as K9999. Same voice actor as well but they had to change him into NAMELESS in KOF2002UM
Hello again, are you still going to make that James the cat and flower stories video? Some stuff of it has been found!
i remember back in 2002 when the nintendo toys were being sold at burger king i saw a lady with the bowser and peach gold toy, and i excitedly was telling her that she won a gameboy advance and had her tell the BK employees they seemed confused and the lady was excited but seeing it in the wild as a kid i was hella excited for her
Some times I hear some one else discuss lost media, and its one you didn't cover yet and I think of you. Most recently people have talked about Lost Mario media
11:32 My ART MADE INTO THE VIDEO! Old AF but still!
Not completely lost, just lost until we invent a time machine.
So, on a RUclips comment, someone told me that the Phantom Blood Movie is in physical burnt discs in Peru. Could be fake.
A sad loss!
I remember that old rebel taxi video about I heart tuesdays, that was pretty funny
The Ne-Yo cartoon sounds like Juniper Lee almost
Man i remember these. No one will believe it but my dad and I pulled a golden Kirby when i was around 3-5 years old (25 now) the toys came with a voucher for a free game and that’s how i got my copy of knightmare in dreamland (still own to this day)
I don’t know to call it lost media but in 2006 Burger King released a line of toys for the movie “X-Men The Last Stand” and there’s little to no evidence about the toys which is weird since the kidsmealwiki says they were available in the US and internationally
