My older brother had one of those, and we talked mom into trying it out. Well being the mid 70's, she would have been in her mid 50's. We showed her how to do it, but she didn't raise her feet, the bike went forward, she held on which made it go faster, finally pulling her into a superman position going in crazy directions. And then mom crashed. She never wanted to try fun stuff again after that.
That’s so cool that your daughter is into riding bikes. I had a 71 Black Widow as a young teen, and it was one of the funnest years of my youth riding around with my friends. Everyone had some sort of mini bike then, with lots of trails to ride on where I grew up.
yes I remember the great times when I was a kid on the Honda trail 70. I'm glad she's into riding and not spending the whole day inside play on the computer like most kids these days.
Raymond, nice work on the Rupp. I am jealous of you. I have a 13 year old daughter that has at her disposal 2 mini bikes, an off road go kart and later in life, a 1982 BMW R65 airhead! She would rather sit in the house on the darn computer. I liked and subscribed and I am going to check out the rest of your contents site. It hope all is well with you, and the young lady and of course. the rest of the family. God bless and stay healthy.
Oh, how many burt legs from Mini Bikes and shorts...... Had a green Scrambler. Was a handful, I could never get the brakes to work much and it never wanted to stay still, clutch always engaged..... It tought me how to fix and ride, thats for sure. Awsum MB!
It's a rupp roadster! Missing a headlight and taillight! Many a day on mine. I don't know it at the time, but it was a top of the line model for rupp! I think it is the only model that has a suspension on it.
Putting together a Speedway green horn. One piece at a time. Wanted something to put my hot rodded hemi predator motor in. Forgot that Speedway made mini's as well as the Blue Max snowmobiles. The team at Speedway were old Rupp inployees want to build there own.
Those old Rupps have a distinct smell of old gas and oil and I seems to take over the shed or garage it's weird .I got one when I was a kid a roadster . Does anyone know what im talking about.
Why are you calling this an Italian minibike. This is a Rupp minibike produced in Mansfield Ohio. I owned a 1970 Rupp Roadster in.my teens, bitvwss one of the great joys of my childhood ! I know have another 1970 Rupp Roadster in.my garage I bought on eBay a few years ago that I plan on restoring and reliving my childhood ! What an Awesome minibike it is !

He's not the owner of the bike - it belongs to a friend. So he may not know the background of the maker.
