Definitely agree with you on this, in August I was hiking all alone and all of a sudden the forest is dead silent (hiking solo then I entered a "do not enter" zone). After a few minutes walking, the only sound is a light snapping noise of branches being bent ) 2 or 3 times, took off my earphone, scanned around, I could even feel something in the air) (looking to the forest hills to my left handside, its 10+ storey high up, can't see anything due to the immense amount f trees), then heard a faint crack again, couple of minutes later (continued walking then a very creepy sensation gets in) then RIGHT ahead of me (100 feet ahead) a slender long yellow animal jumped down the slope into the ravine below. I gasped in shock turned and ran (my reflexes are very fast the instant I spotted it --- I turn and sprint) (45 seconds record breaking run, foot pounding like crazy on the trail). Family and friends says it probably had its eyes on me ---- for its dinner.

Birds are very territorial and wont leave the area even have been known to attack other birds or animals that are bigger then it to protect its territory and or nest so something very wrong and bad has to be in the area to make the birds move from that area no joke

Funny story about an Aztec death whistle, I have one that an Indian Marine had given me in ITB (authentic or not neither of us knew) After I got out of the Marines I brought it home and the property that I have has a river that flows through the edge of it separating my property from the other guys property. I was fishing out there one day and I heard some guys out around the bend of the river but they were a pretty good distance away so I could barely hear them. As the day went on I was catching way more fish out there than I usually could but these guys had come so close to me that I could clearly hear their conversation. I didn’t want them to find my fishing spot so I blew that whistle with all I had and I’ve never heard two men scream like that to this day. I’ve also never seen any footprints out there other than mine since lol. To be fair if that noise came out of anything other than me I’d pack my shit and get the hell out of there.

There’s a lot of people who say “The birds are silent because there’s a predator nearby”, I was raised in the wilderness and the birds see the human as the predator, I walk by birds and frogs all the time and they’ll stop tweeting or croaking and fly away.
@@jq7323 a lot of times birds don't find us as a threat unless we are trying to get them, or hunt them down. I used to live in a farm with a whole bunch of birds and they just sing everytime I get out.

The screams in this video, however, are more prominent in one side of the headphones than the other. This means that they were probably edited in since all the sound in the video besides the scream is mono.

If you watch the video you'll notice that the first scream only plays in your left headphone, and the second plays on the right, meanwhile the rest of the video is uniform across the speakers. If you want another example, the song California Dreamin' has some of the most egregious stereo audio ever, it can be hard to listen to with headphones.
What’s even more terrifying is that they say, the further away the sound is, the closer it actually is. They distort their voices to make you think they are leaving when they are actually close behind a tree.

you can really spot that it's edited with good headphones. The camera's own microphone is garbage and gives a weird tint to the sound where as the screams are perfectly echoing, way better quality than the other sounds on the video

@Carlos yeah but birds don't actually go dead silent when something is in the words. Infact, them acting sporadic would probably be a better indicator of something predatory. They're flock animals and will often raise the alarm. Plus, with high quality headphones, we'd be able to hear some form of distance or resonance with the screams. Its Good editing for a regular computer or phone speaker, but headphones give it away.
I've heard that exact tone and pitch of scream several times deep in the cascade mountains. I tried so hard to figure out what animal makes that sound and I'm still at a loss. Gives me chills.

Went camping one time and it was really damp and kind of misty, so we had to take turns waking up to keep the fire going, at around 3am I woke up to check the fire and it was very dim nearly out, but there were reflective eyes all around us probably 20-25 pairs of eyes, about 6 or 7 meters back in a full circle around us. Turned out to be coyotes, never had packs that big around here, a few weeks later in the same area coyotes killed a fairly well known singer. This happened in Cape Breton NS.
just read about this one, apparently there was another incident on the same trail in 2003 where a kid got bit, thankfully other than the bite wound they were fine, but im thinking that there could have been one pair of mates that ended up getting super ballsy with humans. I dont know for sure how long coyotes live but 2003-2009 dosent seem out of the question. edit: just looked up the life span of a coyote, they can live to like 15, but typically die around the age of 3 in the wild

I guess the myth goes that people who claim to have encountered skin walkers state that they sound like unsettling recordings of animals/people. They supposedly mimic the last sounds of their previous prey they were stalking/killing and will repeat the sounds in hopes to lure their victims to them. That being said it doesn’t mean op still didn’t use a recording but who knows.
Go Bonobo I’ve heard stories of them mimicking friends and loved ones before, sometimes without even hearing them. It seems as though they’re always trying to get you to come to them instead of just attacking. I have no doubts they could easily catch whatever they wanted, so the fact they choose to lure people to them is extremely unsettling to me.

I heard the same sound last night at about 3 AM. As another comment describes, it sounded more aggressive. The sound was maybe half a mile away, it rang out 5 times and then about 10 seconds later another 6, even further away. I can't find anywhere what kind of animal this could've been. I'm in Alabama.

@@l.adodg3r70 they can look like anything, your best friend a wolf, a dog anything, the way you can tell is by how fucking awkward it walks and when you ask the supposed “person” a question it just stares at you with no response, and if you touch them, they feel ungodly cold like cold enough that it might as well be dead, and the when they do talk it’s always trying isolate you, like trying to get you to go in the woods by yourself with it. Why would this be fake? I mean, I hear the cuts a little bit, but the forest is dead silent. So even if it is fake, the silence isn't. There's something dangerous in the area either way
When you are in the woods, and it sounds like someone just pressed the mute button on the world...you better start getting ready to have an exit plan to safety. It might not always mean there is a skin walker around, but there is certainly something not right, and danger could be right behind you.
When i was like 13 me and my friends were out exploring in the woods by my house and we found this little cave and it had a flat rock infront of it with animal skulls covered in moss lined up in a circle and it kind of creeped us out. Im 23 now and last summer me and my friend were out in the same woods near the cave, we set up a cool little chill spot to hang out at and party. We got it set up and were hanging out there all day drinking beer and cooking over the fire when it got to 10pm we started feeling creeped out and had a bad feeling then about 15 min later it started to stink like a dead animal super bad and i mentioned that its weird that we didnt smell it at all the whole day until just then, about 5 min later we heard this crazy noise! I cant even explain it never heard anything like it. But ontop of that noise it would also make the same exact noise thats in this video! I was so scared that I couldnt move it sounded like it was in the bushes right next to us. The dogs were barking from it all the way back at my house. I thought for sure that we were gonna die lol we ended up bolting back to my house. This is the only video that I can find that sounds like what we heard.

I have heard these type of sounds when I was staying at a Campus, it was like 3 AM and I was just studying for my exams with two other friends. When we heard the voice, the first thing was denial. And we just made it look like there is nothing but slowly it got more creepy and I couldn't study any longer so I told them and went back to sleep, and they did as well.

From the first "scream" you can tell its fake. First you can hear the pop from when it was places by someone who doesn't understand how to add in audio effects, second as he pans the camera it should go from mono to stereo as it starts in the left ear and he keeps panning and it stays in the left ear the entire time without getting any louder on the right side, and finally as it ends the clip is cut wrong so it just cuts off completely. I heard a shriek like this one when I was a teenager by myself on a moutain highway in the dead of night. I puffed up my chest, opened my eyes as wide as I could and showing my teeth, I yelled as loud as I could while pounding my chest and running towards the noise. The closer I got the worse the goosebumps and the raising hairs got, but I knew that if I showed weakness now, when I was running towards whatever it was, that it would be the end of me. Here I am, fat and lazy now watching youtube videos. So I made it, whatever it was left after I challenged it. But I've never been so afraid for my life ever, and I've had to negotiate with wild bears and mountain lions.
Same thing i had to do when i lived in a national forest and had to hike through it after getting off work at 2 a.m. i had made that hike 4 plus nights a week and never had that feeling or instinct. I grabbed a huge stick and started slamming it , butt end on a huge boulder in the ground while screaming deep warrior screams. The feeling of being closed in on stopped immediately. It didn't feel like an animal, and within a year i was being stalked by a mountain lion and that experience was much different, and never felt ominous

Last time I heard that sound I thought it was a cougar because a cougar screams... but after comparing this to a cougar screams I now know that I heard a skinwalker instead.. just that fact alone that I thought it sounded like a cougar scares me. On a cattle ranch in southern Utah all alone on a horse, waiting for the other 2 guys to come back. My job was to stop the cows from continuing down the canyon so we could o go up on the ridge and back towards the other cows. I heard what sounded like a grown woman screaming in terror leaving chills running all over my body. I was scared shitlless, my dad told me that what I heard was probably a cougar/mountain lion but now I know it was something far more terrifying.
It was most likely a cougar with a weird voice. Not all cougars sound the same. Lol Read another comment explaining that the screams in this video were bobcats communicating with eachother.
I’m gonna give you a little tip, the video audio does not match up with the screaming, the videos audio is not binaural and the screaming you made is binaural (coming out of the left and right audio channels) which is a dead give away that it’s fake, plus the reverb cuts off abruptly after each scream. If you keep the screams in the same position that the videos audio is coming from with the same quality, and then lengthen out the tail end of the reverb it should help!

For the forest to be THIS silent, the video is either edited, or it's a seriously dangerous creature like a Wendigo, or perhapse a Skinwalker. However I don't know where this was taken, so I'm gonna say that if it is a cryptid, it's likely a Wendigo, as they travel more, and are more widespread due to the noted decrease in oppertunities for a Skinwalker instance to manifest Edit: I did some research, and found out that this is in New Mexico, which further supports my Wendigo theory

I was fishing out there one day and I heard some guys out around the bend of the river but they were a pretty good distance away so I could barely hear them. As the day went on I was catching way more fish out there than I usually could but these guys had come so close to me that I could clearly hear their conversation. I didn’t want them to find my fishing spot so I blew that whistle with all I had and I’ve never heard two men scream like that to this day. I’ve also never seen any footprints out there other than mine since lol. To be fair if that noise came out of anything other than me I’d pack my shit and get the hell out of there.

The audio of this video is mono meaning that if you listen to it with earphones or headphones you hear the same thing in both ears because both sides are playing the same sound. The screams in this video, however, are more prominent in one side of the headphones than the other. This means that they were probably edited in since all the sound in the video besides the scream is mono.

If you watch the video you'll notice that the first scream only plays in your left headphone, and the second plays on the right, meanwhile the rest of the video is uniform across the speakers. If you want another example, the song California Dreamin' has some of the most egregious stereo audio ever, it can be hard to listen to with headphones.

Went camping one time and it was really damp and kind of misty, so we had to take turns waking up to keep the fire going, at around 3am I woke up to check the fire and it was very dim nearly out, but there were reflective eyes all around us probably 20-25 pairs of eyes, about 6 or 7 meters back in a full circle around us. Turned out to be coyotes, never had packs that big around here, a few weeks later in the same area coyotes killed a fairly well known singer. This happened in Cape Breton NS.

When i was like 13 me and my friends were out exploring in the woods by my house and we found this little cave and it had a flat rock infront of it with animal skulls covered in moss lined up in a circle and it kind of creeped us out. Im 23 now and last summer me and my friend were out in the same woods near the cave, we set up a cool little chill spot to hang out at and party. We got it set up and were hanging out there all day drinking beer and cooking over the fire when it got to 10pm we started feeling creeped out and had a bad feeling then about 15 min later it started to stink like a dead animal super bad and i mentioned that its weird that we didnt smell it at all the whole day until just then, about 5 min later we heard this crazy noise! I cant even explain it never heard anything like it. But ontop of that noise it would also make the same exact noise thats in this video! I was so scared that I couldnt move it sounded like it was in the bushes right next to us. The dogs were barking from it all the way back at my house. I thought for sure that we were gonna die lol we ended up bolting back to my house. This is the only video that I can find that sounds like what we heard.

From the first "scream" you can tell its fake. First you can hear the pop from when it was places by someone who doesn't understand how to add in audio effects, second as he pans the camera it should go from mono to stereo as it starts in the left ear and he keeps panning and it stays in the left ear the entire time without getting any louder on the right side, and finally as it ends the clip is cut wrong so it just cuts off completely. I heard a shriek like this one when I was a teenager by myself on a moutain highway in the dead of night. I puffed up my chest, opened my eyes as wide as I could and showing my teeth, I yelled as loud as I could while pounding my chest and running towards the noise.

Same thing i had to do when i lived in a national forest and had to hike through it after getting off work at 2 a.m. i had made that hike 4 plus nights a week and never had that feeling or instinct. I grabbed a huge stick and started slamming it , butt end on a huge boulder in the ground while screaming deep warrior screams. The feeling of being closed in on stopped immediately. It didn't feel like an animal, and within a year i was being stalked by a mountain lion and that experience was much different, and never felt ominous
This reminds me of when me and my dad went camping in the Scottish highlands (there the same length and hight) as the Alappachians mountains,And we herd such a massive bloodcurdling scream,I kid you not I have never saw my dad Be as scared…And then the next night,When we were in our tent somthing was outside just knocking on the tent,But it looked like a normal person except it’s legs were long and skinny

Last time I heard that sound I thought it was a cougar because a cougar screams... but after comparing this to a cougar screams I now know that I heard a skinwalker instead.. just that fact alone that I thought it sounded like a cougar scares me. On a cattle ranch in southern Utah all alone on a horse, waiting for the other 2 guys to come back. My job was to stop the cows from continuing down the canyon so we could o go up on the ridge and back towards the other cows. I heard what sounded like a grown woman screaming in terror leaving chills running all over my body. I was scared shitlless, my dad told me that what I heard was probably a cougar/mountain lion but now I know it was something far more terrifying.
The exact same thing happened to me in a grave yard and it’s the most chilling experience and it’s no one would believe you

It was most likely a cougar with a weird voice. Not all cougars sound the same. Lol
Read another comment explaining that the screams in this video were bobcats communicating with eachother.
I’m gonna give you a little tip, the video audio does not match up with the screaming, the videos audio is not binaural and the screaming you made is binaural (coming out of the left and right audio channels) which is a dead give away that it’s fake, plus the reverb cuts off abruptly after each scream. If you keep the screams in the same position that the videos audio is coming from with the same quality, and then lengthen out the tail end of the reverb it should help!

For the forest to be THIS silent, the video is either edited, or it's a seriously dangerous creature like a Wendigo, or perhapse a Skinwalker. However I don't know where this was taken, so I'm gonna say that if it is a cryptid, it's likely a Wendigo, as they travel more, and are more widespread due to the noted decrease in oppertunities for a Skinwalker instance to manifest
Edit: I did some research, and found out that this is in New Mexico, which further supports my Wendigo theory
