@@teddystriker They are pro fighters who cut weight, thus they should have enough brain power to realize it only happened cause he cut 47 pounds for 185. Then again Hill thought he could KO Alex so what do I know.
i find it very naive for wrestlers to think they will just "take him down and win". First, poatan's defense isnt THAT bad. Second, its also not easy to submit someone once you take them down, watch Ian Gary vs MVP- ian took him down, got to the back, put the body triangle, got one hand in the neck and still couldnt finish. MVP doesnt have good defense, but it isnt that hard to survive on the ground in mma. Third, this is mma - ANY SINGULAR strike can end the fight at any moment, and poatan has insane Ko power. You need 25min of perfect control to win the match, all it takes for poatan to win is a single attack - and he has a wide variety of strikes, not just the left hook.
@@Matt-us1gt I could see that but with Jan he tried to strike for 2 or 3 rounds then got out struck and tried grappling, If he tries the same with Alex he’ll get slept fast
Even if ankalaev manages to take him down I really doubt it that he will be able to do anything cause on fight day he weight in at 230 pounds then again you never know
I’d be willing to bet Alex has barley trained his striking after the first izzy fight and 90% of his training camps are grappling he’s not a legit black belt but I think at this point he has at least decent below average grappler if that’s true everyone he faces is fucked
Pereira just got into other fighter's minds. But what Anakalaev is doing is selling the fight. No one cares about a fight that would be boring. He is promissig blood. To dethrone the king in his own territory. Will he keep his world? I don't believe so.
The thing is he tagged Dana White and Hunter Campbell in the tweet where he said he's not gonna grapple for the first 15 minutes. If you tag the bosses you have to be very serious or unwise. So I think he's really going to stand and strike with Alex
@@teddystriker i mean, you could just put the podcast recording too, i mean not whole video, but some clips just showing the conversation. in my op, gameplay specifically doesnt match with mma video, but is ok the vid still good.
It isn’t because if you look at magomedov stats , and watch his fights , he clearly doesn’t like to grapple. And has more ko finishes then grappling . With that being said Alex is going ko him in the 1st round if he doesn’t grapples.

I truly believe it’s a great idea for Ankalaev to strike with Pereira… Because I want Pereira to win 😂

the belt is kinda random, they just gave it to him for submitting Glover.
@@somerandomguy2447 I 100% agree, pereira was expecting these guys to grapple him heavily like Jan, so he’s been working on his grappling with glover
