Xemnu is the original Hulk from 30-40s (maybe). He’s from space and yes he controls peoples minds. You should check out immortal hulk run. He has a good arc in it.
His appearance in the current Immortal Hulk run... shudder
He's basically Hulk's Gorilla Grodd. No disrespect, because Gorilla Grodd is a criminally underrated DC villain, but that's how I always think of Xemnu. And yes, LOVE him in Immortal Hulk. Also, the Leader....good lord did they do a good job with him (and his newest Marvel Legends is awesome, I need to get it)...give us the One-Below-All BAF with a Gamma Flight / Immortal Hulk group.

That costume makes me imagine that Doom wanted to show off his perfect physique by removing his tunic but didn't realize that he would still be covered by his armor.
It's such an odd look.
I really wish we had a repaint of the Super Skrull Doom. It would look so good!
@@jessehcreative no it wouldn’t, when Doom became a God Emperor he looked like this, we already have two versions of that figure, it would be stupid to get a third inaccurate repaint

The Hood really looks like he could stand-in for a shouting Bruce Banner with the 80th Ann. Hulk. Just dump the cloak and....voila!
An Absolute SIN that _the Legends_ "Team" - Couldn't Not only give Parker A CLOTH Red CLOAK (The Main Point of the Character), But added Pink Shooting Dildo's along w/ A junk Plastic Cloak.. A Cloak "Hood" we customers Need to Razor cut & trim, if we want it to sit properly on his head. SMH

God King Doom looks pretty great tbh, also I recommended the story he’s from, secret wars (the most recent one by Johnathan Hickman) because it’s baller and really unique

That new body they made for Red scull and Dormammu would work really well for a new classic Doctor strange. So now I’m hoping they make one cuz we still need one
I knew Doom was going to be a "want it" or "leave it" kinda figure. I understand not wanting it if you didn't read the "Secret Wars" storyline--however I did and I want an all powerful Doom to rule over my figures!
Oh yeah, totally understandable. I may have let personal preference creep in a little harder there.
The main thing I like about this God Doom figure is that buck puts us a step closer to getting Doom 2099. I'm hoping with next year being the 30th anniversary of Marvel 2099 that we're finally gonna get some of those characters characters.

@@TheFwoosh Yeah it would still need work. He'd need new forearms, calves, modified chest and a new face. The skirt would need modifying too.
I really like the the obscure comic figs .. glad to see Arcade and the AIM Scientist Supreme.
It’s sad how many people have never heard of or even care for Xenmu. Like he was great in Immortal Hulk, especially his new redesign.
Well Xemnu isn't a known character, they only brought him back since his last appearance was when he was the original Hulk, tbh no one is missing out, it is cool to learn that he was originally the first hulk, but he isnt that important

I have no idea who “arcade” is but that figure even just as is would make a great lex luthor so might get it just for that.
Jigsaw from the Saw franchise is a no budget carbon copy of Arcade.

Robo, cleared me some time to take in this review. As a comic fan this wave and its tag line 'bring on the bad guys' had me waiting impatiently;) Glad you did this wave all at once. The hits kept on coming;) some were deep some were classic, all appreciated. Yeah one of the best books in Marvel is Immortal Hulk. I am hoping for the U-foes to be rendered in plastic soon. Thanks Robo.
For the Hood I'd use a spare Super7 Mumm Ra cloth cape. And for white Dooms make them into Doombots.
I saw someone on IG post Arcade with a custom the Mask head. I will definitely need 2 Arcades. If only that long-haired head didn't look so much like Jesse Eisenberg Lex Luthor

Like the black framing thing at the head away from the sculpt. Makes the head itself more ethereal and floaty looking to not be attached to the black frame thingy.

I think you are the third reviewer I've seen that has come around on the scientist supreme. I agree, the design just works, he may not be a high tiered character among classic fans, but the design works.

Dormammu and Red Skull are nice. Lady Deathstrike seems to be well sculpted. The other figures, I'm not really excited about.

Secret Wars 2015 is what sells me on that Doom, I see where you are coming from though being a 80’s Marvel kid… o.g. Green Doom was the best! But his arc in Secret Wars 2015 was great !

The Hood had a good story run during Marvel’s Dark Reign story! Definitely Avenger villain. Character is cool...this figure doesn’t even do it justice...not even a xtra demon head sculpt.

@@latestred6510 Agreed! He was literally the Kingpin of Super Villains! And it is a shame his fig is week. I had made a custom with cloth cloak and both normal & Demon heads! Lol! I still like my version better! Shame bro...he’s such a simple yet interesting character.
Great review, can't wait to get a hold of these. I just ordered Red Skull, Dormammu and Lady Deathstrike initially, but after ordering M.O.D.O.K. I also ordered the A.I.M. Scientist Supreme for an A.I.M. display. The rest I just have no attachment to; Doom is an interesting design but I'm happy with the Super Skrull wave version, Arcade looks good but again, no attachment and the Hood just looks bad to me, and Xemnu I also no nothing about and his design doesn't do much for me. Great to see your ranking at the end, I imagine of the 4 I'm getting my ranking will be pretty similar.
Red Skull I think would look good posed with the Super Skrull wave Doom pistol, that just fits his style to me. It's strange to me that classic comic Red Skull is typically depicted with shading/darker red yet they make it a bright flat red, yet the MCU Red Skull did have flat bright red yet they give that First Ten Years version darker red/shading?
Also it's a darn shame we didn't get that yellow flame look for Dormammu, it still looks good as it is but that original looked way better in my opinion.
After checking Robo's videos i just realized that by each BAF he is amazed that there are L and R to show left and right :D

Probably just gonna get redskull, dormammu, and the A.I.M guy but overall a great wave.

It’s a good wave. I think my favorite is Scientist supreme. I know it’s mostly a male character but I use it as a female lieutenant to MODOK. Big bulky armor to be imposing. But she’s my Destro for AIM with a personality like Mr Freeze. Scottish brilliant weapons designer. She has no morals. Pushes to what can or cannot be done. Sophia McGarrett. She’ll appropriate whatever she needs to get her results wanted. Dormmamu and Red Skull are pretty sweet too. God Doom, eh. Lady Deathstrike is alright. Elbow range is plenty good enough to slice and dice. I did like the longer arms on the Toybiz one. It’s not the Hasbro desired look. She’s a freak in action poses in the comics. Arcade and Hood are just there. Purchased just to get Xemnu.

Yup, hood will become my base body for my Ben Reilly which will look awesome with Peter Parker and MJ. Lady Deathstrike is awesome. The rest are ok, might not even try to get them.

Also this wave looks pretty dang solid over all, Lady Deathstrike is my favorite by far.
Dormammu... Just kinda makes me want Doyle from Strange Academy. Honestly just a whole Strange Academy wave, plz.
If you want to kitbash a modern red skull, take the arms from the bicep down jacket, harness, and gun from old red skull, the body from spider-man noir, and the head from the onslaught baf. It’s a pretty easy and fun kitbash. Thanks, Robo! :)

I want all the figures BUT The Hood guy. Never even heard of him. I’ll get him for baf piece, and maybe make him a custom Kletus Kassidy or something. Just give it the head and maybe a carnage hand and he’ll probably look cool.

A lot of these waves don't even get stocked by some of the stores around here.
Even if you don’t know the character someone out there will be really excited to finally get a figure of their favourite character.

I’m 50 50 on Doom, Red Skull, and the Hood
Definitely Arcade and Scientist Supreme
The Hood was from a Marvel Max series by Brian K. Vaughn, (that was really fun come on guys read it), which I think is one of the few Marvel Max series that is canon in the 616 universe besides Alias and some elements of Punisher Max.

As always thanks for your reviews and content. Did anyone else get a strange right trigger hand? Mine was molded with a horizontal joint, but after it didn't move and some heat, turns out it was a side to side disc hinge that was pinned in like any other side to side hinge, wasn't stuck in by mistake, and functioned as normal, meaning the exterior mold was for a up down hinge but worked as a side to side after the soft plastic tore. Wish i could post pics, its weird, nothing I've seen before and i measure my collection in tens of boxes....
God Emperor Doom reminds me of Doom 2099, though white. Which I have fond memories of for some reason.
Solid review, Robo! I don't know? I'm not feeling this wave. I really like the Dormmamu figure but that's about it. I have to admit, I do like the comic Legends better than the MCU Legends. The colors are brighter and the sculpts seem better to me. Besides, my Marvel fandom started with the comics.
I ordered this wave at hasbro pulse right when it went up, so why the hell does it say it is arriving in august when people are getting it now

I am getting God Doom for sure because I enjoyed the Battleworld story. Probably passing on all the rest. Wish they would do a Doom 2099 and Punisher 2099 though.
Robo! On top of all the other comic recommendations in the comments, I would like to add that you should read Avengers Arena! It's a really fun serious with Arcade as the main villain basically dropping a bunch of young heroes on an island to see what happens. All the characters are really strong and the art is amazing plus the actual story itself is really enjoyable

Why? There are several versions of the GBs already out there by Mattel, Kenner, and DST.
@@brainlock72 Mattel and Hasbro didn’t make the Real Ghostbusters, Kenner aren’t 6”, and Diamond Select’s figures are garbage.
@@brainlock72 Also, DST’s RGB figures are not 6” scale, have horrible faces, and don’t have cartoon accuracy due to reusing the body of their movie figures.

I do order from Dorkside, and sometimes they get stuff early, sometimes later. It's usually a toss-up.

I preordered this wave. I'm just excited we are finally getting villain figure waves. I will say though the hood figure is such a huge disappointment. But I'll make it buy a custom hood for him to have on. I was also super excited for the arcade figure but I hate how they did his jacket as one piece limiting his torso articulation. That's just dumb.
Its cool they have villains from the Hulu MODOK show, I hope they do more.
