I've found you can leave the lacing fairly loose in the forefoot and synch it down with a runners knot for the heel. I run with the collar popped and have no blister issues on long runs. These might be the 🐐
I can see the upper causing problems for people. Lacing aside the textured achilles pods could be irritating. The toebox vertical volume is low and with the rocker geometry, the upper contacts the top of my foot which is a strange sensation. Aside from the odd upper, the responsiveness is excellent. Feels poppy rather than squish-bounce than vaporflys but more stable. Continental's reputation precedes itself. Alphafly v1 will probably be my marathon race shoe but this is a close second.
Good afternoon believe in the run and all the runners. Good video and good shoes for élite runners. Here is my like. A nice week for everyone. ☀️🏃♂️☀️
I'm missing more focus on softness/responsiveness/bounciness for most of your reviews. This foam has always looked firmer to me than say ZoomX, is that accurate?
Not sure what to choose Asics Edge + or Sky + or the Adidas pro 3. Eventually I'm going to get all 3. Just not sure what to choose next. I'm a huge Asics fan though. Thanks for sharing guys. Awesome review
@@levandmarthapolyakin-aaron2183 I agree 100% I'm a huge Nike fan though. Nothing against Nike. I've just found better results with other running shoes.
Im a huge Adidas fan, currently in taxing in the adizero pro and by the way im saving to buy my adizero adios pro 3 probably for December i wonder what color way will be by that date? And im going to do Marathon in the adizero Pro i did a half marathon in hilly coutse and was perfect!
I have put 20 miles (summerGRIT FTW) in mine, they are a shoe that does everything thing well. Unfortunately, I have just one real bad issue (and check with any of your team who might have a fuller foot ) so the jury is out. The eyelet support on the front of the right shoe (left side ) really digs into the knuckly of my big toe ..it has created a massive blister, etc .. I have purchased some surgical spirits to toughen the skin up and will also place some strategic moleskin when I next run in them (be 3 weeks until the blister sorts itself) , if that does not resolve it then eBay it will be .. which is a shame as I love the shoe itself, smooth, quick ,supportive bounce but not being too pillowy, this show let me put in a sub 5km/4.30 while keeping my heart rate around 132bpm .. A magic long-distance shoe.. what the Hoka x3 should have been. Running the rest of my grit miles in a pair of altra's .. comfy slippers does not bother the toe :P
I just HAD to comment on this as I'm sitting here with a blister on my right foot's big toe bone, exactly where my bunion is. The top eyelet actually has a harden strip under the upper that, for first 10K felt fine but i did a 32K long run, and the eyelet was stabbing into my big toe bone for the second half of the run. Running straight was alright but whenever I do right turns it would definitely stab into the bone. I read somewhere that to mitigate this issue, start lacing the shoes further up the shoe, as in to just skip the first set of eyelets, will have to give that a try. Other than that, great shoe.
Did you ever got a chance to compare the first Pro 2 (Midsole drop: 10 mm / sole is all white) vs the second version (Midsole drop: 7.5 mm / sole has two colors). I think there's not a big difference between the Pro 2 (second version) and the Pro 3. Will like to know what you think.
Zelda. Wedding invitations. Pit Crew. tesla truck angles. Samari swords. Rod sandwich. I grew up on pretzel rods in Pennsylvania! Ben Signal. Love your reviews.
I love that Lightstrike Pro foam but to date both the adios pro 2 AND the Prime X which I purchased have both caused my shins to flare up so badly that I've had to stop running in them, so subsequently I've had to sell both those shoes losing an absolute fortune in the process 😫
@@jamesb.walker9177 I do think the instability was causing me to over pronate but it didn't matter what speed I would run at both those shoes were just not suitable for me which I was gutted about as I love that Lightstrike Pro foam
@@jamesb.walker9177 Aah mate no way. I've got the speed 3 and absolutely love them lol I don't have any issues in them thankfully. I was worried as I had the Endo Pro 1 & 2 and I hated them! Never had any injury issues, instead I just found them very stiff and lifeless so again both those pairs ended up on ebay 😂 I'm now tempted to get the Pro 3's after my success with the speed 3's
Is anyone else getting annoying achilles rubbing? I really like ride and want to use it for a marathon. I'm just terrified that it might be painful. Did the shoe soften down anyone?
I’ve had issues with the laces rubbing my left foot but not the right foot not too sure how to stop the rubbing from the lace bracket it’s a shame as the trainers are awesome apart from this issue
I'm a casual jogger, not really a race-day kinda guy (Ive done a couple 5k runs here & there). But...can i just wear these casually? i love the striking look of the upper but no sure if these are ok for casual use.
Walking in these types of plated super shoes is trickier because you'll be a little wobbly and require more calf effort to get through your steps. It's a bit like walking uphill on an unstable surface.
I’m not sure why people say ZoomX provide more bounce, I have 4 pairs of Vaporflys, and 3 pairs of Alphaflys, I have both the Prime X and the adios pro 3, in my opinion lightstryke pro is noticeably bouncier
This or the Vaporfly? I have the Vaporfly and I either will buy another Vaporfly or this one (only if it is in pink) black sucks imo and the Vaporfly is insane
There is waayyy too much vocal fry in this video. Please speak with confidence! Anyway, I have it, love it for my long runs. Don't love the tongue, and the upper is stiff, but whatever. With these you can start running and never stop running in these once you're locked in. I get cravings to run in it again. It's a long run shoe so don't even bother with a short run in them. Thanks for the review.
Am I the only one that does not like the very geometric design of these? Looks like it was just like “put as many triangles as you can” 😂 I have a pair of v2 and honestly as I’ve used them more I like them but wouldn’t race in them. To me they are a very workout/long run shoe
As always, thanks for watching. Please leave your comments and questions and we'll do our best to get to all of them. We really enjoyed the improvements to this shoe so if you lived v1 you'll probably love this. If you do pick it up, help us out by hitting the link in the description. Thanks!
Among all the carbon shoes out there, I'm intrigued in what actually qualified/disqualified them from marathon racing for you guys. Meaghan mentioned Endo Pro 3 for "up to half marathon" in the other review video, and Robbe seems to qualify Edge+ for marathon distance here. I think Edge+ was considered stiffer than Endo Pro 3... so, it's not very clear. I should stop watching so many videos of two people talking about shoes.
Mostly preference. Reality is most of these shoes will be just fine at any distance. If we could run marathons in racing flats it’s probably not as big of a deal between an Endorphin or Adios Pro 3 besides personal preference
@@kalvin. ya, I'm interested because I've also crossed out Endo Pro for marathon racing. Even though I hit half marathon PR wearing them, I couldn't convince myself that my feet would survive the stiffness in the full distance. All in all, I'm curious if there's anything that sort of comes between Endo Speed and Endo Pro. I'd assume that space isn't very wide, so this might all be moot.
Yeah kind of comes down to preference. I (Robbe) like more road feel, don't like soft shoes, so the Edge+ is prime for me. Meg likes softer shoes. I do think Endo Pro 2 would be a bit harsh for marathon level, but the 3 has more cushion (but plate is still very stiff).
This thing is so bouncy and responsive, I love it. Zero hot spot on my 10 miles long run. Ride super smooth and bouncy!

How durable is it ?

Ah man, hope that resolves itself, we don't have large volume feet so didn't experience that.
I can relate. I tried them on for good 10 mins & decided that it's not for me just because of the upper & its eyelet.

Anything like the Prime X? I’d love a slightly wider version of the Prime X with a softer more comfy upper!
Similar in set up. The upper isn’t “comfy”
Time for Between 4 shoes?
Yo adidas what happened to the minimalist running shoe once called the adizero
How is the stability compared to the other top race shoes?
Pretty comparable, def more stable than last year
What do you think is the best race day shoe with stability?
Probably Alphafly, Brooks Hyperion Elite 3 is even more stable but wouldn't consider that a contender
