Nadal defeated himself because of his physical fitness, unfortunately, and age has a role in poor fitness, especially Nadal, who played the most offensive attack unlike the rest. Nope, when it comes to deciding who's the greatest of all time statistics are all that matters. You can have your own personal favorite player but the best player is an objective statement.
It’s funny reading the Novak vs Nadal comments, only a few people really care. In Rafas own words the best of all time is Novak, more GS,and ATP finals wins. What you are arguing over is style and that is individual… At their peak, Rafa wins on clay, Novak on hard, grass and indoor.
the greatest in a sport is someone who apart from winning championships, he is tough, elegant or deals hardships with ease and comfort and importantly innovates new methods in the sport, entertains audience and inspires new players to learn from him. Its not nadal and definitely not nole. He is someone who is not mad at chasing numbers and that too not during the non-prime times of rivals
The most common problem i see betwen fans is that they tend to confuse their favorite player with the goat. Since federer and nadal has most of the fan base, we see a lot of bias and toxicity amont the goat debate
