Holy Shit I guess you gotta move shop to the Library...The reason why Steve shakes a little bit is because he's trying to keep his balance because of all that money in his back pocket ....Hell send him a camera crew and some espresso. GREAT WORK STEVE

Can be someone just sharing a random thought without thinking about. What I am saying is that you just never know who comments on youtube and the reasons why. There a so many folks on the spectrum of reality lol.

And, please keep hammering! It would not be real cobbling if a hammer 🔨 was not involved! You deserve all the trophies 🏆 and awards that you’ve won. And, it’s so cool that you listen to classic rock music, while you work. I listen to the Eagle station out of Houston. I’ve been drinking coffee since I was 2 years old, that was 48 years ago. One of the reasons Gibson went bankrupt. They over invested and had other issues but in recent years their guitars where found to be made of cheap materials and sub standard manufacturing. You do pay for the name in big name products but for the prices they charge they should be using premium materials and quality manufacturing without cutting corners.

@@BradyBegeman As far as designer brands go Tom Ford delivers big time on quality, they're one of the few that do. Are they over priced? Even that's debatable, they get their suits made by Zegna who sell their suits for a similar price about 2 and a half grand, their shoes i believe it's a similar situation.

“Tom Ford” is not a quality criterion shoe, it is a label, a marketing device. The company licensing “Tom Ford” shoes uses whatever manufacturer it finds to fabricate the shoes to have the appearance of fine shoemaking, but lacking in critical areas, as Steve clearly shows in this video. Don’t be surprised, this is common in nearly all manufacturing worldwide. Caveat emptor, as the Romans said: Let the buyer beware.

Don’t you love it when people seem to know everything about you and have the answers to all the problems they tell you you have. You seem to be doing fine. I’ve said before, you are a true craftsman. Very enviable talent.

Do you ever put a "Bedo's" logo on the soles? If I had a pair of shoes repaired by you, I would want that!

You do realise instead of repairing shoes people would pay big bucks for a pair of Bedo originals! Made from scratch.

Not every great craftsman is great designer, or even wants to make something anew. There is something special about bringing old things back to life. Though I'd also love to be able to commission a few pairs from him.

But he only makes one shoe. Please send your desired shoe design and specify which foot you want it for. Don’t forget to list your size! 😂

I think his margin for profit is better for the repair. I'm blown away by how much he charges to resole and recondition the uppers. I know this is an old comment thread but I couldn't help myself.

Steve as a custom knife maker, leather always tripped me up. Moved to the folder market partly because of it. You are one hell of a leather worker. Yah beat yourself up at the end, this job came out excellent. The before, and after might be worth remembering, it always helps me feel like I did the job a solid.
Nothing will ever be 100% again, but seeing %20 percent condition to %80 + is one hell of a trick. Subscribed, love the craftsmanship!
