Everything about this screams "tactical", from the dagger shape with false edge on the back to the way it's balanced. Not an "outdoor" knife. Clearly mislabeled.
You should do a compilation video of all your "balance tests". You are the only reviewer who throws pretty much everything you test. I'm new to throwing knives, so I'm enjoying learning what can and cannot be thrown well (aside from dedicated throwers).

When I was a teenager, I had an 8" Bowie knife and i juggled it, threw it, chopped with it, sliced with it and generally used and abused it. That was 40 years ago. I still have it,and wouldn’t be parted from it, but guess what? It has a loose pommel. In40 years it hasn’t come off, or seemed like it might, but that is what happens when you abuse things.
That’s a good honest review on that knife. But, for the money, I’d go with an Eric Outer designed knife of the Outer Limitless channel. His outdoor/indoor bushcraft and camping/survival knives are built, tried and tested to do what you were doing here successfully. He has a whole line of knives in different sizes. That’s a knife I’d like to see an independent and honest review of.
Thanks for the thorough review. This is certainly a tactical/combat knife. It will serve some outdoor needs in survival situations, bit generally is not made specifically for that. Btw, the first few strikes you made produced a lot of sparks, just ned to find the right angle, i guess... Well, that handle thing is annoying at least... Was looking at it, but will probably pass - there's a bunch of knives that are better and cheaper.
You can’t easily tighten up the handle but you can use a needle to slowly seep some crazy glue between the scales and the blade handle - let the glue seep and quickly wipe off the extree - and you have a great little stabber - I would replace the scales but that might effect the retention - at that point a nice kydex sheathe would be the next move - this could be a great knife if the spear point was professionally sharpened same as the tip
This is a combat knife. Modern marketing will tell everyone its a survival knife. Ali pins are designed so you can tighten them up, if you abuse the knife. Which batoning is. Don't copy what you see on RUclips!
I believe that the groove down the middle is called a blood channel to allow the blood to flow from a the target if the knife is mistakenly left in the target. And the 1st thing i would do is sharpen the false upper edge.Well if battoning it caused the handle or blade to become loose its not worth the money they want. Its worth about 25 to 30bucks in my mind.If you cant baton a knife to split wood in a pinch then the knife is not worth the money as a survival knife. It should be able to be used for any need in the outdoors if its considered an outdoor survival knife. Thanks for the honesty and im glad i have my Strongarm! lol
Good review. Definitely targeting the wrong market by calling that an outdoor or survival knife. Like you said, whether you are in the batoning camp or not, it's good to know if the knife can stand up to it. In a true emergency survival situation you may not have your full kit with a hatchet for splitting kindling, etc.

Thank you for showing us these knives, Brian. Not having an easy way to tighten the handle, or change it is a bit of a downer for me. Yeah, that's a "tactical" knife. The Russians make some great knives. However, with all of the nice knives out there, I have a hard time sending any of my money from the country with a flag on the moon to the Russians.
А ты точно уверен что вы там были...😂 Можно много, конечно, рассказать тебе... о правде жизни... но нет, ведь о ней уже столько всего в интернете и ютуб... Скоро Америка распадётся как и Советский Союз...🙄🤔
I ordered a Kizlyar knife. It never arrived. I was really bummed about it. Because I was looking forward to it because of your review. I ended up getting a refund. But I wanted the knife. Might have to try again one of these days.
Bryan, Good to see your video again I've been censored, I like this Russian made blade, and the sheath, it does scream tactical knife, not meant for chopping and everyday use. Dang sure wasn't very sharp, Dang sure doesn't throw good, definitely not balanced well, but u did stick it, great review Bryan.
I myself do not like a knife that has parts that gets loose or can't be fixed easily. I like the blade style with the point in the center for drilling. I like the sheath, but that's too much dough for loose grips. They should have at least used some micarta with screws, at least a person could put threadlock on them if they came loose.
Hello Bryan, so on the wood it seems that you really chose some "naughty wood there, didn't you?!? Hey, you never sent any mags. on the Buck silver colored knofe (w/detachable spikes)??? Looking forward to it so have fun and be safe. Take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 👍👍🙏😇👊 !
Great review. I was really starting to like the knife and go look up that steel. Same as inox on Marttiini knives? Then the handle - doh Saved me some time I guess. At that price, it should have done fine, it is an "outdoor" knife. I don't baton knives! - not a hater. I carry a tool for batoning (ax or bigger knife). But, I don't see anything wrong with your test facility. Warranty? or is that just Esee? I never, ever seen one of those wire saws worth a nickle. You know you're getting old when you can't get your voice high enough for Mr. Bill ;-)
@@SurvivalOnPurpose Since your video aired, I did some research. I am unfamiliar with Niolox steel. Turns out, it is a very good steel. Some have referred to it as super D2, whatever that means? It's not a good quality knife. Made in China with a "Russian" sounding name. They're known for breaking blades. As far as being an outdoor knife, it would be ok, but the blade is too thick and the bevel is too steep.....Just a "bayonet" from Korea with a fancy handle, so to speak.

Loved your quip regarding metric size "For those who don't have a flag on the moon."
I borrowed that from James Yeager

Very very good review dont know why people write bad things about your reviews

Very nice knife.
Its different and innovative. Nice to see new things 👍
Thanks a lot 😊
Good soldier knife.
This is the first version of the knife with a "tooth" point. The second version has a classic semi-dagger blade.
Hmmm
Beautiful
A lot of jurisdictions don't permit "combat" knives.
So the description is probably intended to skirt that.

Being a knife maker myself that handle is not a problem. I would drill it out and make a new handle for it.

I watched a video with a Ka-Bar put threw hell. It was cracking concrete blocks and stabbed into a ammo can and still solid.

Russian Military knife. That blade is made to go into human bodies. They call it a outdoors knife or they wouldn't be able to sell it.
Tbh it doesn't seem to be a very good knife for the price. Good at feathering but that's about it.
