I can't tell you how much I appreciate you making these videos! My mother in law loves to cook, and I love eating her food and learning... But, there is a language barrier between us. :( the way that you speak in English and then in her language has allowed us to bond over the past months! So... Thank you sooooo much!
Hi sweetie lady. Love all your recipes. I'm also Cambodian but, where I live there's NO Khmer around for me to ask how to cook khmer food. Thank you for explaining so well. Keep it coming.
Hi Ming, thank you for your recipe. I overcooked my rice porridge and mushed it a lot. The inside is pretty creamy. How can I fix it to make it less creamy? Thank you.
Can we substitue steam rice with just glutenous rice flour? Please help! I am making this dish for my kids's school International Food Fair this coming Friday! Arkun jrun, for posting this recipe, Rumdoul
Mmm this look so delicious! Can I bake it instead of using a stove top if we don't have the pan to cook it on the stove top? How many degrees do I put in the oven
+Juliet Leam I have never cook them in an oven before. I think it will work. Try to bake it on high heat and keep a cover on it so the steam can cook the batter. Maybe I'll try baking the next time I make them.
+Elissa Sok Yaung yes please try baking it next time and let me know how it comes out. I end up going to the khmer market and was able to find the pan! :) so I won't attempt to use the oven. Hehe I'm making this tonight for my in-laws! I hope it comes out as tasty as yours!
+Juliet Leam I'm sure it will turn out as good as mine, who knows it might even be better. The secret is the rice porridge and a good can of coconut milk. Some coconut milk doesn't have the nice aroma as for the porridge, just make sure there's not too much water. I used 6 cups of water and let it cool down completely this will get rid some of the water.
+Sun rule23 Yeah me too. I normally eat them all the time when my grandmother was alive. It was her favorite food. Too bad, I never had the opportunity to make it for her.
Bong what if i dont want to put rice porridge and only put rice flour? im going to make this on the exam home economics class so please help and tell me😭❤️
These are my guess. It could be too much liquid. Need more oil in pan. Pan is not good, maybe heat too low. Need to leave it longer so it could become rusty.
Luscious!!! You always make your recipes easy to follow! If you give me your address, I'll mail you a battery for that smoke detector that keeps going off during all of your excellent videos.

Hello bong srey Elissa, where can i buy the Fry pan from?
Yummy 😋 I like to eat this food too & thank you 👍😍
Can you make Num Chak Jol? thanks :)
+kimly eng Yes, thank you for the request.
Buenos días, serías tan amable de pasarme la receta en español. Gracias
My favorite Thai dessert but not easy to make
Bong what if i dont want to put rice porridge and only put rice flour? im going to make this on the exam home economics class so please help and tell me😭❤️
No babe you need rice porridge to give it that jello texture or you could use cook rice but have to be very soft.
@@ElissaKitchen Ohh thanks very much bong for fast replying😘😘
can I keep the mix flour in the refrigerator ????????/
Where do I get the pan frm
I would have used a food processor to make the porridge more liquidy. It’s weird to have rice grains that huge in a nom kruok.
damn what else can you make? lol can I be your kid? I would love it
Yummy 😋😋😋😋😋
It so stick sisters can I add some water?
sonita vong yes or coconut milk.
Cooking with Elissa thank sisters
My nom krok bong got stuck to the pan. How do I keep that from happening?
These are my guess. It could be too much liquid. Need more oil in pan. Pan is not good, maybe heat too low. Need to leave it longer so it could become rusty.
👍👍
Give me a pan's name
can we be bff? that's my favorite Khmer dessert I beg my mom to make it but she never does
+spoonb16acrx2003 Now you can make it!
Where can you buy the pan from?
Hi Elizabeth, most Asian stores have them. Look in the pots and pans aisle.

thank you for the recipe, one of my fave and as I am a vegan... but conversion of weights and measurements can be a headache for me, U.S. => metric...
yeah, I know U.S is the only country that use different measurements.

+fattymoko thanks! for some reason I don't hear that alarm noise while i'm shooting the video. I'll check it moving forward. :)

Mae Love I think because your baw baw might be too liquidity. I would add a little rice or flour.
