- Rosas Pandan, tells the story of a pretty lass from the mountains who charms everyone when she sings and dances during a town festival. Composed by Minggoy Lopez, this Visayan folk song has been performed by numerous choirs all over the world including choirs from China, Korea, Indonesia, Russia, Singapore, USA, and now New Zealand and Romania.

As a filipino born by a european roots, these pieces are one of the nicest folk songs that often been used by a choir all over the world. Paruparong bukid was kinda popular for a young kids back in the 60's to the 70's
I feel so proud and thankful at the same time that these foreign countries are singing our folk songs with their hearts as if it is their own our composers did a great job in composing these pieces during their time which is greatly appreciated in our time. Hopefully our schools focuses in teaching them in class rooms and in creating choirs as early as elementary ages.

The truth is ..these songs were all winning songs every compitions worldwide firstly sang by our best choral groupe singers from Philippines I think it was the "Madrigal singers"! Surprisingly and wonderfully competitors worldwide found it amazing, interesting, beautiful songs to also made it as their entries to compete whenever and wherever...I think the original Philippine song compositions and arrangements are also being copied ! At least Filipino musicians are still the bests and original! Nakaka PROUD!
