Matt & Summer.....welcome to America ! My name is Mike and my wife Jodi and I live in Columbus, Ohio and we are really enjoying your channels. We just discovered you both from THIS channel believe it or not. We've sensed watched many videos and subscribed to "The Luxury Home Show" channel and we really enjoy your tours of homes in the UK. We've been RUclips-hobbyists of sorts for high-end real estate channels. I'm sure you'r familiar with Ryan Serhant and his brand of channels. This is the first time I've commented on your video. We literally discovered you guys on the video from a number of weeks back when you announced we're "coming to America". We've enjoyed getting to know you and witness your various experiences in the US and Miami as you've found a rental to call home for a while (love the Restoration Hardware "cloud" couch you guys have) When I first discovered you both I first thought, "Okay here we go again with a young beautiful couple who are very wealthy and with beautiful lives...(Think "Kardashians") and your channel is totally the opposite. I can assure you , you have NOT experienced any such thing as a tropical storm in the past month!
It’s still 5 hours in the winter but the 4 hours difference is when the clocks change as the US normally doesn’t do it as the same time as the UK it’s about 2 weeks before both sync to 5 hours FL 8 hours CA. Wish you both well

There is a 1 day boat ride to the Bahamas. People come and go for shopping and food and for your case filming properties.
Besides that you can sign up for last minimum cruises which they offer when they have unsold tickets.
Are you going to start showing us luxury homes in Miami? I think you too do the best in showing homes, and I have watched a lot of different people show homes, not for anything but they all could learn from you

So interesting to hear your challenges and how you overcome these to get your visa. What a contrast to the UK's immigration processes.
Welcome to the U.S.! I used be an immigration paralegal and filed all types of US work visa and green card applications, so I know the amount of time, stress, conversations, cost, and effort that goes into this process for all visas, but especially for the O-1s. It’s no easy feat. You should be proud of yourselves-the threshold for that visa type is incredibly high! I’m not surprised the application was 600 pages long. Hhaha And now I do it all from the in-house side for my employer, so I’m entrenched in it every day.

Yes got that wrong 🤦🏼♀️ When the working day starts in LA it ends in the UK - 14 hours was australia 😅
With a green card, you then have access to our coveted SBA backed loans up to $5 million to buy US based businesses. The SBA says if you don’t have a green card or citizenship, you need a US citizen to own at least 51% of the business you want to buy, and they have to get the SBA loan.

Can you break down the legal fees vs the immigration fees? Because immigration fees are usually a few hundred dollars.
Have you been diving? do you have your Padi license and have you been sailing and got your IYT or RYT courses done yet? I am aiming to do sailing course in December in Thailand. I will look in to the 3 year VISA and setting up a business once I have more passive income in the UK.
you can also open business account in Belize and in the Cayman islands also good as well , even in the Bahamas it should not be difficult . Good luck

O-1A: Visa Individuals with an extraordinary ability ? How did you proof that?
I'm guessing they're using the success of their luxury home show channel as evidence of a distinguished reputation/contributions in their field of business. But yeah at first glance, when I look at the requirements, it seems like they'd have a hard time qualifying, since most of the examples of qualifying documentation include scientific prizes, awards, scholarly publications, etc. Congrats they were able to pull it off though
If you pay the right lawyers and people enough money here in America you can get anything done. LOL

Yeah it’s the true the women are nice at the us embassy (London), I had a guy (maybe the only guy there) and he grilled me like a fish for 25mins , then he disappeared, came back and said…approved.
I’d say , one thing , have proof of funds , like a bank account print out. Their main concern seems that you might overstay and that you don’t have enough money to cover your expenses.

not easy to get US visa but I thought UK citizens have visa free waiver 90 days visa free to the USA. look if u dont have a business account why dont u set up a company in Delaware offshore company i think they can assist with bank account there , I think you can still invest in the USA.

Be careful about becoming a US citizen if that is your ambition as they are taxed on their worldwide income regardless of where they are resident. One of the great benefits of being a UK citizen.......
I second that. Same is true even if you just hold a green card. Dunno why they would dream of doing that given they are essentially nomads running an international business. Forget getting US citizenship/green card and keep your flexibility - you already have tier A passports (UK).

If a u.s citizen is paying tax in another country, they can be exempt from u.s tax. Depends on other things to tho

@@10xJxQxKxA Too many to name. The reason the US is the worst is the kid would have a US passport, which means they're soul-bound to the IRS wherever they live. If the (hypothetical) kid ends up being nomadic like M&S, or wants to live anywhere else, having a US passport is a huge PITA.
