Aliex Folgueira my only con about the 108 would have to be the tension knob that locks the drive in place. I noticed at ICAST the knob was labeled prototype but I guess they decided to go with it. Would’ve been nice to have a quick release latch. Suppose you can’t have it all in that price range. 😂

Great video! As usual. I just bought a 2018 Hobie Compass but it didnt have a seat. Was wondering if you knew of another seat nore comfortable than the hobie passport seat that would fit in the compass. That might be cheaper too. Thanks man. Keep up the good work

So I currently have a catch 120 and really want a pedal drive with reverse. I fish rivers and small lakes so tracking the bank is important. In your opinion what is a solid choice?

@@AliexFolgueira Havnt gone out on the kayak in a week and a half...headed to the bridge in long key instead. Snappers and Nurse sharks like crazy. @@AliexFolgueira Eco Fishing Shop. It shipped via fed ex frieght. Have you heard of big fish tweeking the pedal drive to resolve some minor issues? Eco Fishing shop told me this and the newer ones dont show up till mid March

How would you compare that kayak to the 12.5 dorado? Drive, stability and comfort? I know they are the same company but looking for a comparison.
Well, the Dorado is bigger and a bit faster, way more comfortable seat, not much more weight, 10# more and $700 more, also love the wheel, my take is that if you don't care for the motorized option I'll save the money and buy the big fish 108. I should compare them

Loved the video Aliex! Wondering what your thoughts are between this one vs the Jackson Big Rig as far as stability. Not too concerned with speed, just want to ride comfortable and safe. Big guy (6’3” 310lbs) so I think I’m between these two.
Ummmm the big rig fb will have more space for sure but I don’t think it will be as stable the big fish channels makes super ultra stable also a lot less money

When that rudder cable snaps, immediately grab those two little black spagetti tubings that the cables feed through. If it slips through the hole, you have a real mess and have to take the side panel off. You will need a stiff piece of wire to fish it through. Took me some time and when I got done, left and right were reversed.
I heard some boats had issues, there is no hatch so replacing those cables will be a hard job for sure, thanks for the tip

In the video you said it was more stable than the Titan. Which Titan were you referring to or all of them? Meaning the 10.5, 12, or 13.5? Was thinking about the Titan but if this one is more stable then I don’t know. I currently have the old Town Sportsman 106 powered by minn Kota and I love it, but I do want one a little more stable that has a peddle drive and that I can motorize later.

So I'm looking at 3 different kayaks. The big fish 120, the frontier 12 and the pelican catch 120. I do alot of catfishing so my main concern is stability. Which do you recommend? Because when and if I bring in a big ol catfish I don't want it taking me in the water.
If you want stability, big fish is far more stable than the frontier or the catch

I have never been in a kayak until a few days ago and I was in a vibe yellow fin 120 and it felt tippy but I'm 51 year old angler and I'm in the process of getting the big fish 108 basically because of your videos buts what's the stability compared to the vibe 120

if the river is too small and shallow, Nop it is not super maneuverable

Aliex Folgueira once a company can figure out how to make a bicycle style prop drive work fully tucked up under the boat, THAT will be a game changer. I don’t think it’s too far away either.

Stable kayak but not an offshore kayak. Front hatch collects water from splash and the hole for the transducer mount. Very difficult to paddle if your drive goes out and it's extremely heavy. I owned it and went back to Hobie.

@@AliexFolgueira not in a yak that slow and heavy bro. I am sure on low 1ft to 1.5ft waves, but its design would work against you in 3ft waves which is the normal size. As you go down the backside of a wave the nose will push into the next wave and flip.
