Bless you Melissa for this information! I had no idea that I was struggling with inflammation until I started your 8-Week Challenge. Within days my sleep improved, my energy levels increased dramatically, and my joints didn’t ache and pop constantly. The most visibly obvious improvement was that my belly dropped from 43” to 37” in 48 hours, and I no longer had the constant bloating and pressure in my abdomen. Now that I’m finishing the challenge my daily digestion is improved, and I’m able to keep pace with my teenage daughters in daily activities. Between the whole-food healthy eating plan and the daily exercise my body is feeling stronger and more energized than I did in my 30’s! I cannot recommend this challenge enough!
I find drinking ginger and cucumber blended water for a few days helps. Mine is caused when I eat gluten and dairy and processed food. Women in Perimenopause also struggle with inflammatio .
This is absolutely spot on, and I want to add one thing that is often overlooked in terms of inflammation: food allergies. I had major inflammation symptoms for weeks on end, including water retention, extreme fatigue, skin rashes, high blood glucose, extreme mood swings etc. I wasn't even able to work out properly because I was so tired all the time. Turns out I have developed an intolerance to casein (milk protein) but because I wasn't aware I would consume dairy products every day. Since I cut dairy completely out of my diet, I feel like a new person. My body let go of the water weight, I'm no longer tired, life quality imporved 100%.
Thank you, Melissa! As a menopausal woman I am grateful for your message of inflammation and menopause. We need much more content on this subject. Please further discuss this topic with your audience!!
You are on point, Melissa. I have dealt with uterine fibroids for more than 15 years. They became so large that I ended up having a fibroid embolization to stop their blood supply so they would die and shrink. After the procedure, my body started to release the inflammation in my body. I literally lost 20 pounds in 2 weeks from all over my body. I no longer needed compression socks, which I had worn for 7 years. My weight is stable and within the ideal range for my height. I had no idea the fibroids and my hormonal imbalances were causing so much inflammation in my body.
Melissa, you are the only person I have found that gives such valuable information about women in/after menopause, health and fitness. You have knowledge and personal experience and you really know what you are talking about! Apart from you, I have found only few good doctors who can explain what happens in our bodies, but you can also give advice about fitness and training! Thank you so much for your valuable advice and information! ❤
My anti-aging and functional medicine doctor says all the same things. Thank you for these reminders. I need to get back on track with my Paleo diet, fermented foods, homemade bone broth, and Pilates.
Oh I def have inflammation shows in my blood work. Was diagnosed pre-diabetic but no longer. I believe that and age are my biggest problems, but working hard following your tips I feel like I’m making some progress.
Thanks for the info Melissa! 😊 I had inflammation in my body. I can always tell because my body, knees, back, and shoulder hurts and cracks. I just came off a 110 hr water fast today. I do them a few times a year. My inflammation has decreased tremendously! I lost 8 lbs of inflammation and feel so much better. I eat a carnivore lifestyle at the moment trying to heal a few issues. Once healed I'll be switching to a keto/ketovore lifestyle.
Helpful info but be cautious with the foods recommended if you have histamine sensitivity or MCAS as they can trigger symptoms. Also, oestrogen rising causes histamine to rise which can create unpleasant immune reactions in the body.
This is great all the things you describe about yourself not liking who you are in a reflection is the stage I’ve been at for the last three years and I have been struggling- if I have to take one more pill or one more gummy I’m gonna give up. I take estrogen I take progesterone. I take testosterone cream. I take berberine I take a florabiotic, I’m just at a loss of what to do because all of my weight goes around my middle. I don’t have weight on my arms on my legs. They’re thin. I exercise I typically only eat two meals a day I just don’t know

Really appreciate being made to feel a dupe for sitting through an hour and a half of fake webinar (useful information could have been delivered in 1/2 hour), while awaiting the answer to my question, only to realize by the end that it wasn't really live, as claimed! Thank you for being so respectful of everyone's time and feelings!!
I'm truly sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration. We aim to provide valuable content and respect everyone's time. Your feedback is important, and we'll work on improving future sessions to ensure they are more efficient and transparent.
I'd like to say, I really do appreciate what you are doing. I didn't mean to sound like I was down on everything. I think it would be helpful for some of us to know ahead of time that the webinar is not live, you won't be able to ask questions, and perhaps let us know how long the webinar is, so we can make informed decisions. ? I've been to a few webinars on different sites and have to leave long before they get to the point because, as everyone acknowledges, we are all really busy people these days. I might have felt a little less stupid for participating, and a little less lied to, if I'd known it was a recording... 😊 Thank you for listening, and for caring, and for sharing. I'll leave a better comment for all that where everyone can see it. ❤
Thank you for your kind words. Your feedback is invaluable and greatly contributes to tailoring my content to better suit my viewers' preferences. It's my pleasure to provide informative and engaging content for you and all my viewers.
Not having a gallbladder can affect digestion and potentially contribute to inflammation and weight gain. It's important to follow a diet that's low in fat and high in fiber to help manage these issues. Consulting with a healthcare professional for personalized advice is also recommended.
@@MelissaNeill Absolutely 💯 will consult a physician. The gallbladder thing came up yesterday and I never knew it could contribute to inflammation and weight gain. Knew otherwise healthy high fiber/ and protein plus low sugar was the best route. Thank you.
I take hrt but my stomach has a lot of gas taking probotics have helped o lift weight have really worked on my diet weight is very slow to come off. frustrating and i dont like meat.or fish i can eat chicken and ground turkey, but other suggestions?

I really don’t know whether I have inflammation. I suffer with terrible bloating, mainly by the evening. I’ve been doing the 8 week challenge and I’ve stuck to the normal meal plan ridged but still no signs of the bloat disappearing. I really struggle with loosing weight and have done for years and even during this challenge whilst I have lost some weight it’s nowhere near as much as you would think it would be on the meal plan and working out 6 times a week. I’m desperate for answers on how to get rid of my bloating 😢 is it a sign of inflammation?
I'm sorry to hear you're struggling with bloating. It could be a sign of inflammation or food intolerances. Try keeping a food diary to identify trigger foods, stay hydrated, and consider probiotics. If it persists, consulting with a healthcare professional might help. You're doing great-keep going!
