- i have to say thanks to my friend Richard for letting me have this great song , Waylon was probably reflecting on his early days in the music business , great song by the greatest singer on the planet.
Back in the early 90s I was driving my UPS trailer late one night on the NJ turnpike and along next to me in center lane pulls up a tour bus with Waylon written on its side. I looked over and he was standing next to the driver with one boot on the dash board. He looks over and waved to me! I was star struck! 😅
