Dr. Phil’s behavior was despicable. To parade out that inebriated man and take advantage of his condition was inexcusable.
Sls Nmp I can actually believe that about dr.phil tho.
He's so clearly embarassing and exploiting his guests. And he knows how to talk and manipulate a situation to his favor
Some documentaries they displayed showed the "patient" taking drugs in front of the camera. They obviously asked them to do it in front of the camera.
@@sheenugupta3126 Intervention doesn't encourage participants to use. They don't hand them pills and alcohol (on or off-camera) and hope for fireworks on-stage. They also have trained staff handling the interventions in a room full of family and a handful of crew, not a massive studio audience.
kalee kennedy he absolutely does not! He practices all legal and medical ethics!
How the hell do you get fired for being in the same room as someone who said something scandalous...at your previous job???
Well pronouncing someone's name wrong is considered racist so I'm starting to think anything goes
LoneDragon Trump does the crime, Bush does the time. Billy(Scape)goat!
The same reason "homophobic" tweets from 9+ years ago are all the sudden relevant in our lives. That's how cancel culture works, find ANY reason to end someones career.
Angel Diaz Or it could just be the Jesuits up to their old tricks, as the Papacy runs Hollywood!
@@angeldiaz762 there's no such thing as "Cancel Culture". Free speech goes two ways....you may utter something all you want, even if it was years ago, but an employer does not have to provide a pedestal for it or may feel your past antics ruin their image and thus dismiss you.
Not that I'm in favor of terminating anyone for questionable remarks a while back...assuming they've matured once they become unearthed.
Billy Bush gets fired over something Trump said....That shit still boggles the mind.
Sarkastik Leader Goes to show what people can get away with
It’s not what you say. It’s what you don’t say when fucked up shit is said around you. Guilt by association. That’s the world we live in 🙄
He laughed along w what was said.
He was forced to laugh. It was part of his job.
You’re New Tv
So USA should be found guilty , Since he won the election......
Matt Launter interviewing Bill O'Rielly about self-reflection on his actions...the merry-go-karma ride spins again.
rhaspodel loool right? I was thinking, "Oh lovely!"
Pot...meet Kettle. Kettle... this is Pot.
Lmao!!
I was thinking the same thing.
Frank Bowman lol, I wondered the same thing... thought it was a typo until I noticed that three comments were left before anyone said anything about it, then I wondered, is there a Matt launter?? 🤔
I saw the curb your meme of that and it was really funny
I think that the Jenny Jones murder should have been #1, but that's just me.
I agree.
It's not ranked
I agree
I think you're right on that one. After all, it's murder! That killer, obviously, was so evil to kill over a crush, a fantasy. I'm afraid of this world sometimes.
Well that’s not very politically correct of you..
I’m just teasing. I had never even heard about the Jenny Jones one though.
The Jenny Jones scandal should have been number 1. I think a murder should be above a sex scandal no matter how famous the person was.
I thought it would be number one.
didn't Jerry Springer have a similar scandal that also involved someone dying as a result f what was said on his show??...
@@dannyhill8797 No copy cats allowed in the list.
@@eroccha 😄😸
Woah. I had no idea that's what happened to Jenny Jones. I used to watch that show everyday. A couple times I wondered what happened to her but never checked into it.
For #5: Good for Letterman to confess on air about it and not shut up for the extortionist to give the money to him for blackmail.
so, has Dave ever been in a movie or tv show??--possible cameo?. I loved that bushiest of bushy beards- like a well aged Grizzly Adams :-)
I’ve always wondered how, even in this day and age, I’ve seen guys get aggressive or act completely disgusted after being hit on by other guys. Now I see that back in the day, guys actually killed other guys for hitting on them.
In the 90s it was common to walk into a house and shoot someone
That first story...I 100% BELIEVE THAT ABOUT DR. PHIL!! HE AINT NO DOCTOR!! GIVING AN ADDICT DRUGS AND DRINKS LIKE THAT?!! WHAT KIND OF DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR IS THAT?!
So the guy, who recorded Trump saying those things, was fired
And Trump, who *said* those things, was elected President of the United States
.....gotta love America
Tammy Augus he did technically loose the popular vote but yeah your right.
Trump is a beast. Bow down!
Tammy Augus I thought Billy Bush lost his whole career, but he wasn’t the one recording. He was in the recording laughing, etc. Ridiculous.
Tammy Augus I mean... nobody elected trump because he’s a fuckin saint😂. He was elected cause he would get stuff done (which I’d argue he has, but I’ll let you google those facts).
That's because reality tv culture has higher standards than American voters
Make sure to check out MsMojo! bit.ly/2CGXqIg
Love both your channels.😊
Irony when Matt lauer was talking to Bill O Reiley about his sexual misconduct when all the while little Matt was doing it too. Such hypocrisy... smh
Colored Pandas we don’t know he did it tho. It’s just allegations still:
Colored Pandas The allegations have not been proven yet
Colored Pandas
I was thinking the same thing.
Matt lauer is a smug bastard. I'm glad he's off the air. He is a hypocrite. I recall one show not too long before he was fired where he was interviewing Corey Feldman and Corey was on there talking about pedophiles in Hollywood and I remember Lauer like talking down to him and treating him like he was the bad guy, it was weird. I'm not accusing Matt Lauer of being a pedophile, bit his whole attitude in the interview was strange.
B I remember that, too, and my blood boiled over his words to poor Corey!
"The View can sometimes feel like a daytime soap opera" Sometimes?
Right?! Like honey that's all the time
Matt Lauer interviewing Bill O'Reilly about his sexual misconduct is ironic as hell
Pot. Meet kettle.
The Jenny Jones thing was actually horror. That was a different level of scandal.
That was definitely some next level of shit. It just barely tops Acala being allowed on The Dating Game.
Gonna be honest, I was ignorant about Rosie. Yes, she's not my favorite person and she may be a loudmouth, but she was perfectly right about her views and I respect her on a new level for leaving the show.
True, I agree with you 100%.
I also agree. 100%
Merancapeman Well don’t sweat it. You could never be as ignorant about Rosie as Rosie is ignorant.
Rosie speaks the truth
Letterman's way of handling his scandal was probably the most bad-ass way of solving a problem. Hats off to the master.
He may have been a dumbass for what he did, but his damage control was a boss move. I’m glad David was honest and his wife was able to forgive him
@@LucyLioness100 Extortion/blackmail doesn't work in real life like it does in TV and movies.
Man, it did not ruin his career for sure
So Billy Bush gets fired and Trump gets elected as president. Well done America 👏🏼
injun999 question
If pointing out a double standard automatically makes him a "libshit" would hating on him make you a "cuckservative" or a "cum-in-unist"?
His point is electing him so less firing him and more never hiring him
Kenton Beldin I think the technical term is Libturd?
No one should ever be fired for conducting an interview regardless if they are left or right as long as they are not sexual harassing someone or assaulting them. Billy didn't deserve to be fired at all
@szvivi1 - You know what, I am deeply angry that a man like Donald Trump could get away with saying such horrible language about women and end up being the so-called "POTUS" while being married. It shows how pathetic and stupid Trump is. He even gives men a BAD NAME.
Matt Laur interviewing Bill O'Reilly about sexual misconduct? Priceless
Hello irony.
Matt Lauer interviewing Bill O'Reilly.. & managing to keep a straight face...simply HILARIOUS!!!
I love that Christine is included in the Maury footage lmao
For fuck's sake, vodka and Xanax can easily topple a person. That is sick shit.
Mrsilenciobackgammon
Party hard boiz
TV shows and movies tend to do these things just for ratings and sense of realism. They don't care about the well being of their guest/actor. Look at Stephen Spielberg who waterboarded the girl in the opening scene in Jaws because she couldn't generate a scream he wanted otherwise.
Most of if not all Spelberg's films have included some waterboarding.
Mrsilenciobackgammon please tell me why I flicked my phone due to the fly lmao Im dying
Mrsilenciobackgammon I like your picture.
Will Ferrell, "Matt Lauer can Suck It!!" - Land of the Lost, 2009.
i prefer the 90s remake.
This one was a nice one
Good WatchMojo
That Jenny Jones episode did air I remember watching it
I was hoping somebody said something because I remember watching it too.
I remember watching it with my mom, and even seeing the news story. I was a kid then, but that shit still stuck with me.
D W Me too. That’s probably why we are both unsuccessful people.
Yeah, what the hell was wrong with people in the 80's?
I don't think ACCUSATIONS should be made public or acted on until they are proven true. too easy to destroy someone's life, and almost as hard to recoup if accusations are false.
No Way since we are discussing allegations towards a candidate. What about all the allegations towards Trump?
@Kitten Lyric Like how she had a man murdered.
F C hun, you have a president that assaulted his ex-wife and his "career" didn't get destroyed. Go with that "false accusations" shit somewhere else. There are way more cases where the victim doesn't report, than "false" cases anyway. Or more cases where they report and there's enough evidence to "destroy" the rapist/abuser's career but nothing happens, than "false accusations". -.-
@@JordiVanderwaal yes I know what you mean. Bill Clinton raped many women and then Hillary went after them verbally. Yet people still act like the Clinton's are great for this country.
Rosie O’Donnell was 100%correctin her statements
No, the reason she's portrayed negatively in media is simply because of how poorly she treats other people, not because of bias
I agree. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and when we invaded, we handled it poorly which eventually lead to insurgents.
Anthonyg Gordon led to ISIS. America has a keen way of creating terrorists. Al Qaeda was our doing as well. We trained them and gave them weapons as pawns against Russia during the Cold War.

Kitten Lyric Why don't you tell us the truth then. What's the truth? You're just parroting what you hear libtard celebrities whine about.

A Million Little Fibers.
@ItsJess That's beautiful!

You left out the studio brawl involving skinheads on Geraldo Rivera's show in 1988.
"Sexual harassment" and "sexual assault" have become such ridiculously loose terms that whenever I hear that someone's guilty of such things I don't even care anymore. Those terms are thrown around so frequently, for all I know 90% of them were actually someone just accidentally touching someone else's hand once like 20 years ago. People always say that someone is guilty of sexual harassment, but then they fail to say what the people actually did wrong, and if they did it on purpose or not.
You're such disgrace for humanity honestly. Maybe next time you listen those words you should paid more attention because nobody gets a trauma because someone touched her/his hand
That poor guy in the first clip, that never should have happened. Whether he was given the liquor at the studio or not he never should have been on that stage in that condition.
Right? And Phil himself was draggin the poor man into his seat. Disgusting how that show exploits people.
Surprised Jerry Springer didn't make the list there was the incident where 2 of his guest s killed a third just after the show was taped
Dr Phibes Yes, that is true. But he didn't tell them to do it and it didn't involve him. It just wouldn't go with the list. Something like this also happened to Gordon Ramsay. Both hells kitchen and kitchen nightmare had people kill themselves.
Holy shit
Maury shocked me. I thought he was like Mr Rogers.
Ikr
god usoland.
I hear you
No proof of anything? sounds like #metoo lier trying to make some money off a show she worked for and wants to quit and retire early
god usoland In Mr. Roger's neighborhood, kids know who their mommies and daddies are.
bigfroggy22 what kind of fedora are you wearing? Is the neck beard getting scratchy yet?
THIS is the content I came for. Gimme the drama, mawma.
No mention of Geraldo Rivera having his nose broken by a guest?
Yep. In its day, that was HUGE. I remember it sparked a whole national conversation about "trash TV." Geraldo's broken nose was on the cover of Newsweek. Nowadays, they've got fights every day on Springer and Wilkos. If Geraldo's nose happened today, it might make the news, but everyone would just shrug their shoulders. "That's TV for you!"
Kitten Lyric not that I've heard about Geraldo. But there was the time Undertaker and Vader were in Kuwait and someone asked them if wrestling was fake. Vader was angered by the question and assaulted him.
That was John Stossel. He stupidly asked David Schultz if wrestling was fake, and Schultz went upside his head twice. Stossel claimed he suffered pain and buzzing in his ear for eight weeks afterward, and Schultz said that Vince McMahon instructed him to hit Stossel if Stossel said the word "fake." There was also the incident with Hulk Hogan and Richard Belzer on Belzer's talk show Hot Properties. Belzer asked Hogan to demonstrate a wrestling hold; Hogan put him in a chin-lock, then dropped him to the floor when he (Belzer) lost consciousness. Belzer split the back of his head open and had to get stitches. Both Stossel and Belzer filed and won lawsuits against the wrestlers and the WWF. You can see both of those incidents here on YT, and the lesson to be drawn is this: if you're a talk-show personality, tread carefully when interviewing wrestlers, lest you get the crap kicked out of you.
That was definitely the one I thought of! That and Jenny Jones
@@heathermiller6046 Geraldo's nose was not a scandal just a fight.
I read somewhere the $25 million payout was later overturned
EasyTech yea it was
It should've been. That was opportunistic of the family. The deceased chose to go on the show and reveal his same sex crush. The guy told him he wasn't gay and the man still pursued him. He of course didn't deserve to be killed, but it wasn't the shows fault. They didn't go begging the guy to come on or write him a script.
Kara Ruckle But the show never told the guy the person with a secret crush was a man, and they humiliated him in front of-however many million-viewers (it only didn’t air because of the murder); therefore, they should be held accountable.
+mria621 Held accountable for humiliation, yes. For murder, no.
retnavybrat The Jenny Jones show was found to be responsible for the same type of thing. Maybe I should have said “responsible” instead of “accountable.”
When Matt is intrviewing O'Reilly though.
People fail to mention that the dude on Jenny jones shot the guy cause the dude who refused his advances kept making sexual comments to him even after he told him to stop and that he wasn't interested, kept driving by his house and kept making harassing phone calls. If you ask me, I think the shooting was justified
I love you watchmojo.
Bukizwe Mzileni so you love multiple people? A female and some males? (I don’t know how many but I’ve so far heard 3 voices 2 males and 1 females.
Nova 260q 1 female** learn your grammar
Nova 260q It's 2018. He shud be allowed to love as many hydras as possibe, dammit!
Ever since Matt L. had Monica Lewinsky read a part of her book about the president then condemn her like shit on the Today show, I seen what kind of person he is.
Happy to see him go.
#10 That's messed up.
iamonthewrong Video I don’t think it’s been proven true
Yup. Missed ALL of these completely. Lol
That Jenny Jones show was aired in philadelphia... My wife and I watched it together, it was a sad time for daytime tv.
I met Tod when i was bartending lol i didn't know who he was at the time until i saw him on dr.phil but it explained him ordering 3 shots of vodka at a time and smashing them like it was water nice guy tho
The Jenny Jones episode did air. I watched it and was shocked when I read that the guest killed the guy who had the crush on him. His defense team blamed Jenny Jones for putting their client in the situation he was in. The attorneys claimed their client asked producers if it was a guy who had the crush on him because if it was, he wasn't doing the show. Jenny Jones producers lied to the guy and said it was a female that had the crush on him. It is also worth noting that it wasn't just one intimate letter that set the guy off. It was also the fact that the gentleman that had the crush showed up at the guys place of residence and kept calling him and basically harrasing the guy even after the gentleman was told on several occasions that the guy wasn't interested. Not condoning what happened, just saying it was way more then a single note that sent the guy over the edge.
The Matt Lauer stuff had need known for YEARS prior to his axing i remember when I was kid constantly seeing reports about this in magazines and online.
Number two escalated quickly. Damn.
Wasn't there a talk show where a gay guy publicly admitted loving his best friend and the concerned best friend felt so humiliated that he shot the guy in the face?
It was number two on the countdown. This was "The Jenny Jones Show" and the crime occurred in 1995.
And here I was expecting wm to make the cash me outside girl #1
R King thar was a meme/ a stupid moment, not really a scandal
R King She’s on the Ms. Mojo version
Amazing how the same event can either result in instant firing or somehow the person emerges unscathed. Just because of the first few days of reaction, the timing, etc..
If doctor Phil were really a mental health professional, he would never push and gaslight his guests like he does. He let a man hit his 16 year old daughter TWICE before asking security to step in.
The Jenny Jones thing was super crazy... smh
Matt Lauer had the security technicians in his office building Rig his door so only he by pressing a button behind his desk would let people leave he’s lucky he didn’t go to jail
1:34-1:35I'm glad my grandma watches The Talk
Love how men get fired by ACCUSATIONS of sexual assault, not even proven. What happened to innocent until proven guilty
"I'm sorry." Oh ok, you're sorry? Yes! Sorry I was caught 😞☹️
When the first two entries involve Survivor contestants and Rosie O'Donnell hosted a reunion show too.
jared deswart What then?
I only clicked on the video because I saw Todd in the thumbnail. lol
Watchmojo I love you
Boy Oprah was pissed in that episode! LOL
no mention of geraldo or morton downey? wow
Precisely!
Dr. PhiL
(Yes, that's from Triggered Tro.)
And let's face it, because Baldwin is a die-hard *Liberal* in Hollyweird, his homophobic outburst was swept under the rug after he was given a mild slap on the wrist, called a naughty boy, and told not to do that again.
One of the reasons why Jones was sued was because despite the premise, guests were not told that it was a same sex crush episode. They were simply told that someone had a crush on them. Someone they knew. The killer genuinely thought that his crush was the slightly obese woman in red, a friend of his, shown seated next to the victim. Victim's family argued that had the show's producers been up-front about it being a same sex crush episode, the killer would have simply declined to be on TV. The killer did say that he felt humiliated and embarrassed being on national television, and felt tricked into agreeing to be on the show.
8:55 y’all went in 🤟🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
No more..."where in the world is Matt Laur"?guess we know...
Fact: Todd actually won his season of Survivor
The track playing during the dis-honorable mentions is the same music impractical jokers used for the Amelia Earhart rap.
The guy in the thumbnail looks like a mix of Seth Mcfarlin and Adam Scott form parks and rec! 🤣🤣🤣
His name is Todd Hyzonak and he won Survivor China if u wanna look him up
Conan>> jay leno
I'm with Coco, too! Always and forever!

bro man yeah I think so too

I was expecting this to be a video about scandals that happened while ON a Talk Show, not people associated with a Talk Show.

Kathy Ford and probably a freak in the sheets
Kathy Ford Plus she's got nice ta-ta's!
Personally, I think that what happened with "The Jenny Jones Show" episode about "same-sex crushes" was an embarrassment. I felt sorry for Ms. Jones and her people for being targets of a wrongful-death lawsuit involving the family of the murdered Scott Amedure. As for Jonathan Schmitz, he got what he deserved for the cruel murder that he committed. I am also saddened for Ms. Jones for the backlash from some members, if not all, of the LGBT community for such an awful moment in what would have been tabloid TV history.
Todd Herzog and Dr. Phil is a big one.
Wait... Letterman's blackmailer accepted his 2 million dollar asking price by *cheque*?
Rookie move of the century.
I thought all these sexual harassment allegations in Hollywood was a requirement to get ahead or move forward.
Honestly there’s something fishy going on here about all these allegations. It’s as If at one point Hollywood just decided that “fuck it, we’re gonna have an orgy right under people’s nose”. Why is it that people wait so long to come forward. Not saying their lying but hell if they come out sooner maybe it wouldn’t be this bad. I know if someone fucked me in the ass without my consent I’d fuck that bitch over the first chance I get
khiem nguyen - Ummm... people DID come forward. They've been coming forward for a very long time.
When sexual abuse happens, the victim (I hate using that word, because it is weakening) experiences a drop in self esteem. It becomes hard to come out and say 'He did this to me' because-- just look at the comments. How many believe those women? Agreed, there will be times when some women will lie for secret motives, but what about those that are really hurt? Why not stand by them?
Also, there are certain people commenting that 'Today's women are weak' because they came out and told what happened to them. See? :/ W
I’ll never forget Alec Baldwin’s awful voicemail to his daughter, like wtf man.
5:53 I remember this from South Park lmao
Todd herdson how ever you spell that resembles Zac Efron 😂
Did anyone else get completely distracted during Maury's segment by the titles of the episodes they showed
Wasn't every show about finding out who was the baby's daddy ?
Oh yeah, but the specificity of it is what made me laugh. "Your baby looks like my cousin Tu-Tu...I'm not the dad!" "My brother is black, your white baby can't be his!" I guess when you're running the same show theme for years and years, you've got to throw in a little variety.

Dr. Phil is Evil.
He's " therapist" he's supposed to help people, not call them out for the mistakes, because no one's perfect.
Therapist are supposed to help people and Dr. Phil is just putting them on t.v and showing everybody how terrible they are, when he's supposed to be helping them through hard or tough times.
So basically, guys, Twenty One Panicked Pilots At The Disco points out what we've known all along but refuse even now to let on: Dr. Phil IS NOT a therapist.
That's what I kinda thought, at first he is calm but, then he loses his temper, then ether just sends them somewhere or they go home in worst shape. Honestly, he isn't that good at all but, I think Pepe just go on his show to get famous
You’re right, he’s not a therapist. His job is to run his talk show. Dr. Phil is only a key to a locked door to help. People know what they are getting themselves into when they contact his show, you can’t blame him for positions put themselves in. Especially if at the end of the day these people ARE getting help. It may not be right to basically expose these people, but I feel like most of it is him getting someone to admit the wrong they’ve done in front of others. The audience is also constantly learning, his show is some what educational. But that’s what this is, HIS SHOW. Just like every other show when ratings drop they go to desperate measures to bring it back. So no he is not a therapist, but to blame him for situations people put themselves in isn’t right either.
Helping someone is actually calling them out for their mistakes. How else are you supposed to learn. So cry me a river.
Held accountable for humiliation, yes. For murder, no.
6:00 Now I know what a Million Little Fibers is based on , dang.
oh wow ur second like since eight months
We now live in an age where it's "Guilty as soon as accusations are thrown" instead of "Innocent until proven guilty." Sad.
Not true. People get fired, kicked off projects, and publicly dragged thru the mud in articles, on twitter, etc. just because someone said #metoo. It's outrageous that truth doesn't matter more than 'the agenda'.
Ready Player One
I absolutely loved A Million Little Pieces. Luckily, I read it after it was revealed to be fake, so I approached it with some awareness. Still a heartbreaking story and full of heart.
I found it to be a great book. I also think Oprah handled the issue in a very unprofessional manner. For one, does she honestly think a former drug addict will be completely honest? If so, she's naive. I can understand her being upset but she should've handled it away from the cameras through a call to Frey to address it or release a statement either from herself or through a publicist. Instead, she ambushed the guy on air in front of millions & threw a hissy fit over a rather innocuous lie (we're not talking about someone lying about a major crime here). There were so many integral topics she could've utilized that day instead of exacting a personal vendetta against a neophyte writer.
In regards to lying, Oprah is a sanctimonious hypocrite in that regard. She's had liars on her show before (Bill Clinton for example), plus she lied to the guests in her 2004 opener by saying they were getting a free car (hmm forgot the taxation aspect) and then lied about Hermes refusing her admittance to their store after it was closing due to racism (no, Oprah, you're not the center of the universe. You were denied entry as the hours of operation were done that day).
There was also Dr. Drew saying Endometriosis was a "garbage bag disease" which the endometriosis community gave a ton of backlash for. Then he tried to say that it's not what he meant as apparently his "wife also suffers from endometriosis." However, according to the show transcript, it was what he said.
WTAF?!?! 😡
Todd Hyrzog is the guy on #10. Lol the vid didn't even say his name. He won Survivor China
They did.
Yeah no. You can't just drink two bottles and be standing.
You must not know what “tolerance” is. I mean, yea it sounds nearly impossible, but tolerances to substances have no ceiling
@@nofx5695 Um, there's a ceiling -- it's called overdose or alcohol poisoning.
Kerri Sepulveda Yea that’s true IF you go over the levels of your tolerance. But tolerance itself can grow as big as you’ll let it grow. I.e. the same amount of w/e drug that would kill both you & me wouldn’t even faze someone w/ an incredibly high tolerance
@@nofx5695 True, there is a build of tolerance, but no matter how high that is there's still a certain amount that will kill you.

Access Hollywood is more of a news magazine than a talk show.
I have to say the Matt Lauer stuff shocked me. It just goes to show you that the persona of the stoic professional we see on TV is quite the opposite behind closed doors
