question about the multiplayer, will you be able to play a full 1v1 campaign involving in commanding in theater as well as in the field. im hoping for something similar to total war hammer 3 style of being able to save and come back with a friend but in a way you can play the entire game against each other. i really like the idea of the change of season and the progression through the years it would be nice if this is something that also can occur in multiplayer.
fun fact, flamethrowers aren't banned. they're not longer useful but the geneva convention explicitly allowed them to remain despite calls for them to be banned due to being horrific by the central powers this despite their primary means of killing people being asphyxiation which is banned, incendiary weapons in general are a weird area that is partially banned (no to civilians, go ham and burn your enemy alive though) flamethrowers esp in a man portable package are of extremely limited military value in most types of war though, and the operator is highly visible and tends to die at a much greater rate as it painted a massive target on your back they had a 92% casualty rate, it is cool to use them but the odds of you not laying dead either directly after or before you use your fuel is extremely low
Just started this game. Launched an attack during a blizzard. I figured a little "lowered visibility" wouldn't be that bad with my overwhelming numbers. The defeat was crushing.
I played this, it's definitely going to be fun for one campaign. I'm skeptical about replayability but if there's enough campaign map options to mix things up it'll be possible.
I hope they either change so by taking points and especially command trenches you actually move the map forwards, or at least someone makes a mod for it.

Me and my friend are definitely going to play this together
Man I could def watch more of this!
Hopefully the devs can patch the tutorial, a lot of fun things are being railroaded and we don't even get to control the camera?
More of a QoL than an actual gripe but still.
question about the multiplayer, will you be able to play a full 1v1 campaign involving in commanding in theater as well as in the field. im hoping for something similar to total war hammer 3 style of being able to save and come back with a friend but in a way you can play the entire game against each other. i really like the idea of the change of season and the progression through the years it would be nice if this is something that also can occur in multiplayer.
fun fact, flamethrowers aren't banned. they're not longer useful but the geneva convention explicitly allowed them to remain despite calls for them to be banned due to being horrific by the central powers
this despite their primary means of killing people being asphyxiation which is banned, incendiary weapons in general are a weird area that is partially banned (no to civilians, go ham and burn your enemy alive though)
flamethrowers esp in a man portable package are of extremely limited military value in most types of war though, and the operator is highly visible and tends to die at a much greater rate
as it painted a massive target on your back
they had a 92% casualty rate, it is cool to use them but the odds of you not laying dead either directly after or before you use your fuel is extremely low
Just started this game. Launched an attack during a blizzard. I figured a little "lowered visibility" wouldn't be that bad with my overwhelming numbers.
The defeat was crushing.
I been hoping to see review game play for this game. And it sall I ever hoped for
I really tried to enjoy this game. I really tried. I couldn’t bring myself to enjoy a second of it.
Rimmy attacking in march columns, the most ww1 of generals
One of the few people I’ve seen who actually know how to play, it wasn’t perfect but much much better than most
that underminig craters look awesome
I played this, it's definitely going to be fun for one campaign. I'm skeptical about replayability but if there's enough campaign map options to mix things up it'll be possible.
thanks for the video, Rimmy!
There's even my birth town on the map :D
I hope they either change so by taking points and especially command trenches you actually move the map forwards, or at least someone makes a mod for it.
This kinda feels simplistic especially the battles
This is the same team that made empire at war. Absolutely love the great war game so far
Ah I can't wait for this to come out the demo was fun
