- 'Summer' 2024 is fast running out so I'm now taking every opportunity, work and weather permitting, to get offshore for a chance at a Welsh shark. Watch this space.....
As always, thanks for watching!

Thanks for watching and really appreciate the comments!
Was such an amazing steam down the Menai in the morning, just a shame the weather isn’t like that all the time. What’s happened to the summer this year??? 😞
Yeah my Avet is a classy bit of kit, lovely reel. The finger is ok, should have definitely gone for stitches! But don’t think there any permanent damage, it’s healing slowly, should be fine 🤪
Thanks again 🙏🏼
@@mboutdoors_uk yeah I think our summer disappeared once we had 5 nice days like 🤣🤣🤣glad the finger doing better pal am hoping the 20th is nice as am gonna borrow my mates boat and try catch a toothie one lol really injoying your vids pal there always spot on stay safe pal and all the best 🎣🎣
Great session,
hopefully you’ll be back out once your finger is sorted 🎣🎣👌
Oh I’ll be back soon. Takes more than a severed finger to keep me away 😂😂
Nearly took your face off that Tope! What a beast! 👏
😂😂😂
Enjoyed the video 👍
Out of interest, do you keep a spare outboard on the boat?
I don’t currently have an auxiliary engine on board the boat. It’s something that I’ve considered but the disadvantages outweigh the advantages as far as I’m concerned. It’s a tricky one though 🤔
Thanks for watching, appreciate the comments 🙏🏼
Have you tried anchoring just off a wreck with a good chum trail? Porbeagles often hang around these areas looking to feed off the pouting and pollock, I would be tempted to try a larger bait such as a big mackerel or pollock flapper.
I’m still in the very early stages of my shark hunt and no I’ve not tried that. But thanks for the advice and I’ll definitely give it a go 👌🏼
@@mboutdoors_uk Keep at it mark I’m enjoying your efforts. Nobody else seems to put much time in for them in that area these days apart from one or two charter boats now and again. I’m sure they’re about though. You would have never expected bluefin tuna to have returned to the east coast but just this week an angler in a small boat hooked and landed one off Whitby, so it just goes to show.
@@pjbraunsdeadlizard3889I certainly will for the rest of the year until the weather changes. Once I get my head into something I’m all in! Just hope the weather gives me a few more chances 🤞🏼
Too much tide here off Anglesey to do that matey
hows the finger looked sore love your videos going to angssey in a couple of weeks
It’s not great and I definitely should have gone to hospital for some stitches. But I think it’ll be fine in a week or so with regular cleaning. 🤦🏻♂️🤪
Great vid as usual. Still hoping for a few sessions to catch an Anglesey shore Tope 👍
Definitely coming into a great time to catch a big girl on the rocks! Good luck mate, hope you get a big un! 🤞🏼
Alrite Mark ile have to show u how to launch ur boat on slippy slip was by using a rope take it easy bro dave x
I didn’t realise I’d actually run out of slipway there before I unhitched it! Massive tides this week 😬😂😂
Get rid of the music.... Let's hear the engine and waves
I like a bit of both in a video but duly noted! Thanks for watching and the comments 🙏🏼
