- A demonstration of the mixtur-trautonium's formant filters. The filter was originally designed by Freidrich Trautwein as vacuum tube (or rohrentechnik) technology in 1930, at the very beginnings of subtractive synthesis.( I mistakenly referred to subharmonic synthesis in my closing remarks) The filters here are version of the design from the halbeiter, or semiconductor mixtur trautonium dating from around 1989 and were made by Trautoniks. Thank you so much for this relaxed introduction into the filters and subharmonics of this nicely built instrument. :)
Came here from "The Birds"
Really nice!!!
Thanks. A similarly detailed explanation of the controller would also be very apreciated. Does it for instance still work with a gelbath somewhere in the casing ( I have read Sala kept insisting on them) or do the tilting rods control a more modern snesor?
Wonderful video.
how much was your model?
Great sounds!
looks like telephone switchboard, sounds so cool tho ^^
Great video, can we expect some videos of the Schlagwerk and subharmonic oscillators any time soon?
Forgive my ignorance, but what wave shape has the input oscillator? Is this a square wave?
Aaaaaah! Thank you soo very much! Very well done!
Wow very nice, thanks for sharing. Could you give a little information about that rich reverberation?

This thing is beyond lush. I don't care if it's the size of the Titanic! I want one - well the only one there is. Haha.
