As someone who has applied to universities in multiple different countries, I have to say, UCAS and the materials they provide are legendarily good. The way the application process is made easy and intuitive, the check list format that allows to save and go back and finally mark as done, the fact that every single text box on the page has at least some kind of a pop up box that helps explain what you need to write in, and of course these videos which are a great starting point in trying to put together the perfect application... Just, if anyone who works with UCAS is reading this, take this home; good fucking job.
A good way to get started is by looking into the course you're thinking of applying to and thinking what propels you towards this. For further help check out: ruclips.net/video/2wkEHNYVUOc/видео.html

Wait-I have a question. Is it..relevant to write about your musical talent in this personal statement? The video kind of mentioned it, and I was wondering if it seems relevant to write about my piano skills there (lol) please help.
Hey there! Yes, you can write about your musical talents! Make sure you put it at the end though. It's all about you. First, make sure you have everything relevant first. You can then put other experiences and hobbies you have.
Omdddddd thank you soooo much ffs I came her so scared thinking how I’m gonna write that many words since I’m more of a get to the point guy and I see ur comment bro ur acc a life saver
Same here, she keeps emphasising how we should focus on our specific course when in UCAS you apply to many with the same PS. Im so confused, should I write more generally?
I am writing my personal statement now for 2021. I don’t have any work experience so what should i say/mention in my personal statement ? Please help me what would be better for me
So according to the information in UCAS they tell me to write between 1000 and 4000 words, what would a admission tutor think if I had a 1000 word letter? That im not suited for the course or that i can be the right person because I manage to write quality stuff in few words? Hmm...
I'm applying for two different courses, but this whole video was about writing about a specific course. How tf do you write a personal statement for two courses...........
If these two courses are similar you have to write in general why you are good enough to be their student. Just try to find advantages in yourself what are generally universal in both courses
Hi there Thank you for getting in touch. International students need to enter the passport details on the application form. If you are living in UK. You don't need to add it on your application form. There is possibility that the unies may ask you for ID verification, this could include your passport. Especially if you are requesting home status. Hope this helps Sue😊
I don’t suppose every student has something they’re THAT passionate about. The tone of the speaker in this video sounds so excited… but really, I just want to study something I have a bit of interest in and can make a living off of. This person makes it sound like if you’re not super passionate and excited about the course you better go pick trash in the streets and never mind about higher education????
It doesn’t mean you have to write in caps with exclamation marks, this video was just to inspire applicants into giving their best shot as it’s a very daunting time it’s encouraging many to stand out from the crowd and really demonstrate to the Uni why they should invest in them, if applicants don’t give their all they won’t even be considered for an interview, There’s only so many places and the Uni wants to invest in students that are most likely to complete the degree course, if people apply that show they are not really bothered either way they will be looked over and their place will be offered to someone else
The intro to this video is so unnecessary that you'd think UCAS doesn't want you to apply. Surprised the editor didn't add a fucking flatline sound effect after the increasing heartbeat lmao. Good video, Horrible off-putting intro

Guys so many people advising to write 4000 words it's 4000 LETTERS for ucas which is about 45-50 lines
47 lines maximum
also 4000 characters. spaces are included
Which is like 500 or so words

*Where can I order an essay?*
Lauralee Forstedt Isn't that cheating if it is for college/university? You are supposed to write it by yourself
Yeah, I'm pretty sure it is completely cheating. It is meant to be after all a *personal* statement.
You can get good essays online
But you will get the best from yourself
Thats video let me more excited about the ps thank you💗
Very good. I like the song at the end :)
What if you're applying for 5 courses that aren't all the same?
Change them a slightly depending on what you're applying for
+rabya imaan but the same personal statement goes to all the universities you've applied to.
Yep this is what’s happening with me

Same question. I have taken an online course however I too don't have any work experience or internships for that matter
That’s fine, just be honest. Maybe mention on hobbies you do, or life experience you have had that would be relevant?
This was really helpful, thank you!

Havardo 4000 letters NoT words!!!! It's only like a4 size document (about 50 lines)
Not even letters, it's characters, so even less
So.. instructive and precise. :D
