Might have to remove the valve if its inside the ball, then replace the valve. Might be easier to get a new ball.

You might have to remove the valve with a replacement kit

if the needle dropped inside the ball completely. You can replace the valve but it might be simpler to get a new basketball.

the inflation needle can be made of two parts and it one breaks its never quite the same.

we cut open a ball to see the inner working of the valve and sometimes a piece of rubber fall off inside the ball. might need to replace the valve.

might need a valve replacement kit, it has a hook that can pull the valve out. its its dropped into the ball you might need to replace the ball
