If you like this, there was an SNL sketch in the early 90s featuring Adam Sandler and Chris Farley with Phil Hartman narrating called Schmitt's Gay Beer. You'll find the original version on Dailymotion, as the RUclips version on the SNL channel (while admittedly better quality) is actually dubbed. The original is funnier and features a certain hilariously ironic song by Van Halen. The dubbed version just a generic instrumental. The skit is meant to make fun of the fact that so many beer commercials feature women in bikinis at a pool party (or did in the early 90s), so they satirized that and turned it on its head. You'd never get away with something like that today. They'd cancel you in a second, even though it's so far from homophobic. It was way ahead of its time. You may have to mute the music part for copyright so we can't hear it, but it's worth reacting to in any case. The 90s, the era of extreme.
One of my favorite skits! AND ofc using VH's Beautiful Girls was just PERFECT for the skit! So glad someone brought it up about the music track...kudos!
No clue why you're getting downvotes on this. This was a great and lighthearted reaction. Love your videos bro, had a good laugh with you. Forget the haters 😎
Sensitive azz people thats all. Luck the shows I grew up on like married /w children Martin and other shows still not on tv because people would be boycotting shows
Having a different opinion and not liking something doesn't make you a hater. Stop throwing that word around like you're right and anyone who disagrees is wrong. They're called opinions.
@@amp788Nah not really, theyre called bigots 😂😂. The main reason this video has some "thumbs down" is because he said, "theres nothing wrong with being friends with a g@y person".. Because for some reason that drives ppl crazy. Especially the die hard republicans and bible thumpers. They cant fathom it.. So youre most likely one of those ppl
🎭It's worth mentioning for context, ...look at the TV set in the background ...and while your at it look at the rest of the furniture, drapes, clothes, hairstyles and the vernacular being used. This takes place in the late 80's, early 90's when America in general was trying to get its head around (the learning curve of acceptance) homosexuality. I mean, America was bad as a whole ...but black people were a special brand in a category in and of itself. 🎭Though the dialog is exaggerated for the obvious comedic value, the basic rank, uncomfortable, ridiculous language and attitudes of the times were spot on! I'm not gay but being of that time, I was witness to much of that behavior ...and believe or not it could get even worse ...real nasty s**t! So kind of view what you watched as being comedically exaggerated, though tamed by any realistic standards. 🎭I'm not trying put a damper on your reaction ...I freakin' loved it! I nearly broke some f**kin' ribs watching this!!! 😆🤣😂 In fact, having had this experience in real-time makes it even funnier, if you can believe that. Most of your laughter has to do with incredulity ...However, mine is about memory and reality. 😘Go figure!?🖖🏾
@ how because he was laughing at how ignorant they were lol the actors purposely were being that way showing off how ignorant black people folks are towards lgbt people
The big guy with the pen & pad does the voice of Uncle Ruckus from the Boondocks.
The amount of veteran acting talent is crazy for a 6 minute skit
You have such a great, positive, fun energy. Your laugh is genuine too. Your channel cures my depression. Much love ❤️
The actor, that's taking notes, had appeared on Soul Plane, and he's also the voice of Uncle Ruckus on The Boondocks.
He also Stevies dad from Malcolm in the Middle, and he was in Harold n Kumar go to white castle
This was hilarious!! Loved the "old" feel to it.
Great reaction DTV!! You always do a great job. You are an amazing and awesome man!!! Love you DTV!
"It's just like a normal wedding"! 😂👍

Chris Farley and Mike Myers "Japanese game show" is the best skit SNL has ever done.. Or at least top 5 easily

This clown was probably the worst to react to this one 🤡 outta all the traction this guy had no sense of humour and forgot it’s comedy 🎭
You just didn’t like that he called out the ignorance of it. It was funny because how ignorant they were.
