Photos were a little too obvious, but the emotion was good. Looking forward to contributing.

3:37 Is it canon that it took Earth 80 years to get from Warp 1 to Warp 2 tech, but only took another two years to get to Warp 3?

Early Warp engines were Fusion powered.....
Warp engines powered by ANTI-Matter, that's a different level altogether.

Actually, it's the impulse engines which have always been powered by fusion reactors. Warp drive on Earth and Federation starships have been powered by M/AM reactions since Cochrane's flight in the Phoenix. Even though it was not stated on screen (canon), "First Contact" writer and longtime Trek vet Ron Moore did mention that the Phoenix was powered using M/AM reactions, though they were not regulated by dilithium.

Consider that when warp was achieved earth had no space based industry. The following century was focused on building infrastructure and colonies. They had no pressing reason to get above Warp 2. When they finally turned their sights on high Warp earth went from 2 to 5 in a couple of decades. Largely thanks to the solid base established in previous decades.
