Why is Paramount+ not funding/licensing this? There’s a pre-established Star Trek project ready to be made & dropped on that platform, they just have to say “Ok, go” (yes, it’d be disappointing for the audience for it to not be freely available on RUclips, but it would massively increase the possible production value & scope).
You have no idea how vindictive Paramount are of the Fan Fiction scene, which is a crying short-sighted shame... Good Fan Fiction could keep the Franchise vibrant at no cost to them.
Yes I've thought this about dinner of the litter amazing fan productions too. Let the fans do this inexchange for say the first public run before keying the fan production group put it on RUclips. I would imagine for litigation risk they would need a chance to overview the projects but they could have also used them to build publicity for their shows with references or cameos etc dropped in
