    Just tried this, they gave me only $5 and they didn't even put it on my gift card balance, they told me I get $5 free credit on my next purchase if I buy a product that's sold from an Amazon seller

      I didn’t mention that, but yes the credit they give is only good on items they sell, not for 3rd party merchants. $5 does seem low, was the late item a lower priced item?

      @@stephenv1832 that’s absurd they only offered $5. Sometimes it’s the luck of the draw with what agent you get. If it were me, I would ask for a full refund and tell them you needed the item by the delivery date for it to be useful.

      @@intheblackofficialchannel yeah but then they could make the argument that since you want a full refund, and you needed the item on time to be useful, then wouldn't they just want the item back since you no longer have a use for it because it's late?

      @@stephenv1832 they might make that argument, but if you push and complain, sometimes they will give a refund without requiring a return. In the more likely scenario that they don’t, they will be more likely to give you a $10 or $20 Amazon credit for the trouble.

    Here in March of 2024 - Amazon has since caught on and now they won’t do anything about it if they’re late. 3 out of 5 deliveries are now very late, and if you complain they just cancel the order and refund it. They’ve completely fallen off of accurate delivery dates and are scrambling to fix their system. People are dropping Prime like bricks made of crap.

    I usually don't mind if a package is late for a day - maybe two, but what I've experienced is it's become more frequent over time. I've figured in the last year, 25% of my packages have been late, opposed to 10% just two years ago.

      Yeah, I pay for prime. I live like a couple of miles from a fulfillment center. So close that every morning and evening all the delivery vehicles create a ton of traffic near my complex. And while I don’t track the stats, pretty much everything I order says it will come on a certain date and it ends up being a day or two later. I wouldn’t really mind that much except that they go out of their way to be SOOOOO specific.
      “Order in the next 2 hours and 23 minutes and it will come tomorrow.” I sometimes even say I don’t need it today, tomorrow would be fine, then I get an email saying it will be the day after.
      JUST STOP LYING ABOUT IT!
      Probably 8 of the last 10 things I’ve ordered have come a day or two later than they said. And before you say it, I live in an apartment complex with the big delivery locker thing that’s always accessible to them. There is no problem with my address; they don’t need to call for access or anyrhing.
      If you can’t accurately estimate the time to deliver it practically right next door to you, you really have no business being in a delivery business.

      I wanted to buy the products from amazon for free, I was going to sell them on amazon again, but why did not return any of my products.
      only refunded $25 product
      Didn't do it for $200 items I'm so sorry I was disappointed

    Thank you for making this. I just got AirPods for free because they were delivered 24hrs late.
    This may have been the key to my success: I got an associate and used your script. I then got distracted and forgot about the chat and later saw he messaged me back about 5 times all saying, “sorry, we can’t do anything in this case”. I never responded, but then I received an email that they’re going to give me a full refund. I was really only hoping for a free month of prime, but the silent treatment really worked. I couldn’t believe it!

    Amazon is starting to require signatures to deliver packages that are worth more than $100. I refuse to sit home and wait all day for a package only to have it not show up. The one package that required delivery l wasn’t home for and they just left it in the lobby. 🤦‍♀️
    My apartment building has delivery lockers that require an access code to retrieve your package but half the Amazon drivers don’t use them.
    Now they want to inconvenience their customers by requiring a signature to get their packages. 🤬🙄 If it says “signature required” l won’t purchase it.

    I had a 270 dollar item ordered and best they could do is $5 and I asked for the refund because I actually needed it by the delivery time and it’s late

    I work for Amazon flex and as a driver, I have told Amazon several times that delivery times need to be realistic. I even did a shift last night where all the pkgs were to be delivered by 10pm but my shift ended at 11pm so for anything after 10pm I get dinged which makes no sense. They also don't acct for traffic, long travel times between houses (up to 20mins at times), or delays at the warehouse, or delays in bad directions or finding the correct apartment or driving on dangerous roads especially in the south out in the country and at night is worse. Everytime I drive those winding roads with drop offs on the edges I have to slow down and most don't have guard rails.

    mine was supposed to be delivered today but the delivery guy couldnt find my flat when he was like a few meters away and when i looked out my window the amazon guy gave up and drove away with my pakage. now i have to wait another day or two for something i really neede today

    You don't want to do that regularly. Otherwise your account will be tagged as concession abuser. And that will give you a hard time in the future requesting returns/refunds/replacements either the self service option or customer service.

    I have had 6 late shipments this year and I have gone round and around with Amazon trying different channels to contact them in Chat, email & twitter and was basically told to pound sand. So I stopped buying from Amazon and I normally spend around $10k a year (personal and business).

    By and large, I've been satisfied with Amazon, but over the last year or so, about half of my Prime deliveries have been late. Anecdotally, the orders most commonly late are those with items that were promised in 24-48 hours. Once in a while, an order arrives ahead of schedule. A month or so ago I had one estimated to take ten days that arrived in two. I have received several really small orders (both physically and monetarily) by USPS over the last few months that still show as "running late" or have "now expected by" dates well in the past. Will they ever get updated? It's just hit and miss.
    I use Prime for electronic services and for delivery cost savings, not so much time savings. Since I don't use Amazon for something I have to have right away, most often this is not a big deal, or it wouldn't be, if they would just be honest about delivery time frames. The most annoying thing is having an item read "Arriving today by 10pm" all day even though its status never changes to "Out for Delivery." I know very well it's not coming today, and I know Amazon knows it, too. At precisely 10pm, it changes to "Arriving tomorrow by 10pm." That is annoying, but it's not a battle I care to fight. I have better things to do, and I don't need the stress. That's why I'm venting it all here, one last time, and getting on with living.

      Complacency is their short term goal.
      Starving the competition and one day soon they will have you by the shorthairs. And when they are the ONLY choice then we are screwed.
      That's why I will never go through Amazon or Walmart. Nor have I ever been on Facebook or snatch chat .
      I mean I heard about people having dozens of" freinds " sounded mighty flaky to me. And I feel like I wish I could get the planet to take a full week and not go to Facebook. The damage is clear to anyone who has a scrap of individual thinking left.
      It makes me crazy to see the whole world answering the dream of the law enforcement community. I mean think about the fact that the majority of people are paying for the loss of the dregs left post Bush and Chaney . So we met them over half way by carrying a microphone and camera and location device. And if you are okay with that then kindly go visit north Korea and trumps last true love. Kim jong UN.
      I don't have evidence but I can't help thinking that Trump is a sex slave when he visits a strong and powerful dictator who has just finished cutting up a reporter and the penalty is a hand job from America's best two bit grifter illiterate misinformed incestuous draft dodging coward and the fine gentleman who licked his balls this morning and will do it tomorrow etc.

      Same thing happened to me today. I ordered a Nintendo Switch Lite, it was supposed to take 5 days to get from Georgia to Vermont....it took 5 days for it to arrive 2 hours away in New Hampshire.....then they sent me an E-mail saying it will take another 2 or 3 days to arrive......I've had things shipped from China arrive quicker than this...I'm actually pretty pissed off about this. It's a monday, so why should it take another 2 or 3 days to reach me from 2 hours away?

      Just had the "arriving by 10pm" message happen to me too. It even said "we are 8 stops away!" Just for it to not go to my house and drop off my package. It's pissing me off.

    I won’t use their same day/overnight delivery options because those drivers aren’t trained.
    They will leave your package anywhere. One couldn’t even be bothered to put the package in the secure lockers we have for delivery in our building. It was left outside on the street! It’s amazing it was still there.
    Another time l got called at 6:30 am on a Sunday because the driver had no idea where to leave the package.
    When l called to complain I was told that they literally don’t have any training for overnight delivery drivers.

    I've noticed lately Amazon would be giving a promised delivery date, but have been delivering my packages at least 4-5 days late from the promised time. What's annoying is it would sometimes say "Sorry for the late delay, if it is not there by (this day or hour) you can come back the next day for a free refund. It says that everyday without the choice of a free refund button a lot lately.

    Any item they ship now to my area with a USPS carrier is like a sure post. My package moves between Massachusetts and New Hampshire for a couple days before they find a usps terminal that can take the logistics companies truck. Meanwhile EVERY prime package like that now is prime 4 day shipping. USPS site says they haven’t received it yet. FedEx or ups are never a problem, always 2 days. FTC should look into this.

    Tried this as a Prime Member, for two packages that were late and meant our hired carpenter couldn’t complete two of the projects he was intended to finish (so we had to bring them back). Did not work.

    My odds for anything are usually pretty damn low on the weekends let alone on a holiday. I was able to get them to reschedule my delivery for tomorrow instead of sometime between tomorrow and the next 4 days 😂

    Im about to do this. Had a big tournament today for a video game and ordered a cooling fan. Was suppose to arrive today march 29 but delievery time says march 31st now. Should i do this now? Or wait till package is here.
    Update : tried with literally 20 different agents and none of them wanted to give me a refund and offered only 5$ reward back. Tried the script as well. All of them just told me to patient and wait. If it doesnt arrive on the new delievery date then i can get my refund for sure.

    I just got mine an it delivered but broken but it says running late I don't know to blame truck driver or Amazon but the box was soak an wet an I open the box in my car before I realized it was leaking now my whole car is sticky an smells like lavender lol idk if they will refund me for that I have glass coming soon I hope that don't break because I really don't want to go threw this hassle agin

    The problem I have is I had ordered all in stock items with correct shipping address and valid credit card with more than enough to cover it. All items are shipped from Amazon. It's been in the ordered stage now for 15 days and no 9ne wants to do anything about it. They said they fill prime orders first. Ehich means that they refuse to send non prime orders to force the person to get prime ehich is coersion under duress. Ex, get prime or else you eont ger your package

    dang first time I had to fight a bit to actually get my refund. I did it the day it arrived later though.
    Unfortunately I didn't follow the script and I just mentioned I would like to request for a refund for the late delivery / proof of my co-workers/family showing me the benefits of prime membership.
    Got 3 chat people who left me and said they would give me a few months of prime or a $15 membership. I kept mentioning how I had been shown proof to receive the full.
    Eventually got to a Supervisor who gave me the full refund. (It seems like this 4th person did not want to read through my full chat/deal with me anymore and just gave the full.)
    Main reason the first 3 were saying the purchase is over a $100

    They do this to GROUP orders. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to run to the store and buy the item that I just purchased with them because it’s going to arrive after I need it because they want to save money by grouping the orders when I don’t want the orders grouped because I need the item when they promised it. or for instance, like this weekend they’re going to deliver all of my package when I am at the house at work on a very long overnight shift. Oh well, my son doesn’t want his 13th birthday presents. Who cares

    I ordered a Switch Lite on Amazon. It was supposed to take 5 days to be sent from Georgia to Vermont.....it took 5 days for it to arrive in New Hampshire 2 hours from me. Only to be told I will have to wait another 3 DAYS for it to arrive!!!!!! WTF is UPS doing on the weekdays? Because clearly they aren't working.

    Got a question if my package was delayed after it got to my post office and than they shipped it further away could I still get it ?
    The thing is they did not even bother delivering my package at all and I am kinda worried.

      The USPS is always near bankrupt and delivers late (at least in my area) all the time. I wouldn’t be worried if it moved further away, 99% chance you’ll still get it. If a few business days pass and you still done have it, reach out to Amazon and they will resend it.

    I've had several packages I ordered from Amazon apparently get lost in
    transit over the years. I once heard that it was extremely rare for a mailpiece to get lost in the mail. How are so many of my Amazon packages just disappearing on the way from the seller to my location? Are Amazon orders primarily taken on shipping routes through the Bermuda Triangle or something?

    My prime orders are regularly late. Once recently they refunded me then asked me to repay the refund as they noticed the item actually eventually arrived. Say goodbye to the goodwill gestures.

    It seems that it does not work anymore. Amazon workers try everything to not compensate the customers, including dropping the chat unannounced when asking. They also changed the system. Now, it is really hard to get to a real person in the first place. I spent over 20 minutes for nothing. What a waste of time. I am getting more and more fed-up with Amazon over the time. I don't know for how long we'll still keeping Prime.

    I went ahead and did this because I was suppose to receive my package today but it saying it will be here Saturday. So I talked to them and said what you told us to do and she issued me a refund for the inconvenience that it caused me and I asked if I’m still going to receive my package Saturday and she said yes. So let’s see what happens

      Anecdotally I’ve never heard of an incident where delivery was canceled for a package in route. I’m curious what happens here.

    I’ve got a question, if you purchased a funko pop from Amazon and it had printing on the pop slightly wrong, as in diagonal when it was supposed to be straight printing, and had some damage to the box as in a bend, would I be able to get a full refund and keep the item?

    Worse delivery time ever. Ordered May 4 estimated delivery was July1. 27 days. China norm is 10 to 15 days. Amazon delivery is 27 days.
