This video provides valuable information since I have a 2018 Sportster 48 stock, but I purchased Vance & Hines slip-ons which have not been installed and I've been debating on whether to add a tuner and air cleaner. Hope I don't have to add anything but the slip-on pipes. Thanks for the video.
@@69FOSTER thanks for watching. I have done a stage one since this video as my rpm was all over the place. This was an issue from the day I bought the bike! I have another video showing the resolved issues being fixed
Actually the bike was running rough. This was a brand new bike which Harley confirmed that it was misfiring. I took it back after this video and they needed to do a remapping. While there I did a stage 2. That fixed the issue. You can see the video on my channel

Do you need to do a tune at HD after fitting them?
I double checked before i installed these this morning. No.. only when you do air filter upgrades or full exhaust system. V&h has 15% off now online.

But answer your question. No you don’t need to tune when you put the slip ons. Only when u add a full system.
