I'm lucky enough to have a 92 xj on 35s and 98zj on 33s. So this was a great video for me to watch....looked like they both should have aired down more....I run cooper's cheapest I could find. 10 to 12lbs air pressure no bead locks.....awesome video as always brother 🎉🎉🎉🎉
5 minutes in and i am wondering why the xj was in high range. Next thing is what psi are they running? I am happy to see a comparison with similar rigs. V8s, same size tires, similar wheel base.
Definitely couldn’t get any grip with the pats, but also looked like both were running too much PSI. I also think maybe Steven is more experienced driver and had a lot better throttle control. Definitely WJ for the win!
I used to run a Toyota landcruiser 75 series here in Australia on 37’s Iv now got a WJ and 2 XJ’s 95 & 97 the xj’s struggle due to being light but… very very capable overall going to sell the Wj soon to put all the $ into the 97 xJ, I guess the XJ’s attract the budget build scene a lot better, hard to compare in my eyes. The WJ costs were huge to build a capable rig, no one wants XJ’s In Oz.
The WJ definitely took it this time, but it would be cool to see the XJ come back with different tires for a rematch and see why tires also make a big difference when crawling
@TrailMilitia not doubting the pressure. Going off my previous comment if one rig is heavier then another the heavier rig is gonna have more sidewall flex then the other granted they or both the same load range on a tire. An extreme example, is a f250 at 15 psi is gonna have a bigger foot print then a toyota tacoma at 15 psi.
I have 2 friends up here that have 3 of those and they are just as built. I was going to introduce you to them. One of the guys actually works on my jeep. I wanted one too. Tara said no. Lol
@TrailMilitia all the bad weather made the freeway ridge trail a little more fun. Breckenridge campground was totally empty. The weather was super nice. You need come camping and fishing.
Looks to me like the WJ was air down to about 12 to 15 pounds and the XJ was hair down from 35 to 32 pounds. That might be the problem basically the same platform. Only real difference is one has coils in the rear and one has leaf springs.
I know its a common thread on here but they were both between 8-12 PSI and yes the rear coils are the main difference. Tires all react different which is why Patagonias are not my favorite
Put all the 💰 in the LS swap & had no budget left for the tires??? Also Xj's are really light so with 37's they need to air down to 7 PSI to really get some squish in the tire. However, I know XJ's fuck so I say change out the tires & run it back!!!🔥 round✌️🔥 "The Redemption Run"
Sorry you feel that way we are all adults it slips every once in awhile and yes I do cuss but I keep it to a bare minimum on my videos. Either way thank you and take care
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. WJ is the BEST budget crawler as fas as Jeeps go.
WJ for sure!
Excellent video! 🤙
Thanks! 👍

Thank you and I know it looks like they didn’t air down but they were at 10psi
Nice Rigs, Kick off video was awesome, look forward to new episodes 🙌
More to come! Glad you enjoyed it
cool idea, looking forward to rest of series.
appreciate it looking forward to bringing the heat
Dang, who put the all grease on the rocks for the XJ?
Milestar apparently lol
WJ def seemed to have a bit more ground clearance at the transfer case. But the XJ DEFINITELY needed to air down, especially with the beadlocks.
Yea I was going to have them go below 10 but I figured that’s the average joes air down number
@TrailMilitia the xj is so light you have to air down more than other rigs. I run my xj at 10psi with no bead locks on 35s.
The XJ’s have to be pack heavy’ it makes a huge difference.
That hyper guy is a good driver.
RIG Madness should be the title. WJ
WJ for the win
Great video, look forward to the next one!
Thanks man it’ll definitely improve

WJ FOR THE WIN!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
manual gladiator stock vs automatic gladiator. Let’s GO!!!
Ohh that’s actually kinda fun
Kick ass
That Wj with those methods! 😍😍😍
Right?!
nice bro
Definitely couldn’t get any grip with the pats, but also looked like both were running too much PSI. I also think maybe Steven is more experienced driver and had a lot better throttle control. Definitely WJ for the win!
Btw.
George: No spotters allowed
Also George: Driver, driver, now back driver and then passenger.
Spotter can’t quit
@@jeepgreatstories bro I can’t see people struggle I hate it lol

I agree most people thought they were not aired down correctly but it was honestly just the Pattys…
Yeah the WJ is better all around except mud. Weight alone and lockers excluded. The 4.7 is a brute.
i think you should lower the tire psi from what i heard it help with getting up big rocks
Wj for the dub on mickys
Steven told me to say WJ.
What PSI are they running? Both seem too high especially the Patagonia’s…looked like bowling balls…
They were between 8-12 the whole time tires do look filled I’ll do an actual clip of psi on the next one
Wow super surprised....both those rings are bad ass way nicer than mine ❤
It looked like both were running too much air pressure.
We had both around 12 psi to keep it even.
Wj at 12 will have more sidewall flex due to it being a heavier rig
@@k3nj33zy guess best way to show this is putting it on camera 🎥
@@k3nj33zythe xj has an ls in it lol.
Both running 44s. And I assume same size tire with beadlocks. I’d say they are pretty evenly matched.

WJ took the money! 😢 🎉
nice rigs!!! Me vs Bret next..lol
Let’s set it up

Seemed they need to drop down a bit more on air psi, but those Mickey be sticky
They were right around 10-12 psi which is more than enough in my opinion for these trails.
@@TrailMilitia in the video it just looks high.. those are good psi
@@d33nav yea they definitely look like they are tight but we had them low for sure maybe showing that more in detail on the next one would be good
Wj life
You cannot compare unless you are down enough for the tire to work
Both were at 10psi more than enough for these trails..

Definitely too much air on both of the rigs but the wj took the win on this one
They were both at 8-12 PSI even tho tires look ballooned up.. Ill make sure to check PSI and show case it a little better.
0:00 What he SAYYYY?
Those Patty's tread pattern and rubber compound
f☆ucking sucked the first day they were released in 2016.
Best Comment goes toooo… 😅
Why have headlocks if you aren’t airing down. That XJ needs a driver mod too.
It's not the tires
Wj all day long
Xj’s for life👍
Haha
Wj for sure, pattys suck
The reason I go to negative is because you're cussing I won't watch any more of your programs
Sorry you feel that way we are all adults it slips every once in awhile and yes I do cuss but I keep it to a bare minimum on my videos. Either way thank you and take care
No need to announce your departure Karen. See ya
Contreras fab en la casa 🙌🏻 como la ve con la wj primo @offroadtijuana
