A colonoscopy caught colon cancer at stage one. No spread to lymph nodes. Surgery was fine and no further treatment. So grateful.

Please get your colonoscopies. I lost my brother to rectal cancer 2 months ago. He didn't get his routine colonoscopy at age 50. He was 53 when he passed away. Thank you, Misty for encouraging everyone to get this done!

So sorry for your loss! My dad has battled rectal/colon/lung cancer, what a journey it has been. We almost lost him 3 years ago, however he made it through this past 3 years. Lung cancer is back, but we are gonna fight every step of the way! Again so very sorry for such a significant loss, and I too am so thankful that Misty is advocating to schedule colonoscopy’s! 💙💙💙💙

The prep is the worst part of the whole thing. The procedure is nothing. Get it done people! My brother had Colon cancer but caught it early enough. It saves lives.

I am a two-time Colo-Rectal cancer survivor. I have a permanent colostomy, which I have had for 13 years. I was diagnosed at 53 with my first cancer after I delayed getting a test at 50. I was lucky to be a stage 2 at that point and not worse. Second cancer was at my rectum/anus and it was Stage 2 as well. Get your colonoscopy if there is a history of colon cancer in your family. It is very important. Thank you Misty for going through this procedure and promoting routine screenings for colon cancer. Wished I had known more about these back in the day. Love you, your family, and your You Tube channels. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Thank you for enouraging everyone to get tested. It is so important to spread the word that it is not horrible, the prep is the worst part, but it is an extremely important test to have.

There is a history of colon cancer in my family so I started having colonoscopy early and have had several. I always figure one day of unpleasantness with the prep is worth early detection and not suffering with colon cancer. Adn I've done several different preps and none of them are any better than the others. You just gotta do what you gotta do. Good PSA Misty-get those colonoscopies !

You looked so beautiful going for your colonoscopy. I don’t wear makeup or do my hair, lol 😊. The last time I woke up from anesthesia I kept saying “You haven’t done anything yet!” The nurse kept trying to assure me the procedure was completed but I kept insisting it hadn’t been done. It’s such a weird feeling when one second you’re awake and then you open your eyes again and it feels like no time has passed.

Woohooo!!! Glad everything went well. My Dr wanted me to do it again and I said NO!!! I explain him what happened to me and I only get blood test and poop collected and all I get is NEGATIVE results!!! Yeah!!! But also all those colonoscopy also were NEGATIVE!!! Now I'm 67 yrs old and I thank the Lord for all the negative results!!!! God bless you Misty and your family!!!❤

Thank you for taking us "through" your colonoscopy. As much as people hear griping about the process, it really isn't that bad. You talked us through the "ugh" and "ick," but ultimately the process wasn't awful. I hope people who see this feel encouraged to get their colonoscopy. ❤❤ Thank you for keeping us healthy!

In Nova Scotia Canada when you turn 50 they send you a screener in the mail every year. If any anomalies show up they send you a request for an appointment. Great system!! And it captures folks who would never get screened.

My husband uses Cologuard and it’s pleased with that test. I want to do it once every 10 years and be done. Bless you for vlogging on this day when you didn’t have to!! Get some rest!!

Hi Misty. So thrilled everything turned out good. Thank God My Dweet Friend. I always get a colonoscopy. My Mom had colon cancer. That salty drink is horrible. The procedure itself is not so bad. You are a trooper to still do vlogmas. Thanks to Mark for filming .He is a great guy. Always a treat to see your Dad. Thanks for singing for us. Mr Flufferpants was so funny when he walked away from the toy. Not impressed at all. Maybelle catching the snow was so cute. Your fur babies are the sweetest. Good for you for encouraging everyone to get their colonoscopy. I so agree with you. The freeze dried skittles sound so good. Thanks for another day of Vlogmas. Take care. God Bless You All

So pleased to hear you are "normal " ,sharing that was such a wonderful thing to do and I really hope anyone watching goes book their test if they are the relevant age . I live in the UK and the good old NHS don't like to do them so much now ,no idea why ,I'm 58 and never had one ,maybe I should just pay and go private. I think people like you sharing these things can take away the fear for people to get this kind of stuff done ,which can only be a positive thing ,so thank you xx

There is currently no good prep. Several years ago, they had a fairly easy one that were laxative pills taken with lots of Gatorade. I heard they stopped using that one because patients were dehydrated on that one. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The prep is the worst part. Now that you are finished, find Dave Barry’s article on his colonoscopy. It’s hilarious, and I think you will like it. Glad all is ok. ❤️👍🏻

I had a colonoscopy about 39 years ago when I was about 20 at that time they gave you nothing to knock you out or even relax you they gave you nothing! You drank the crap and they did the deed and a nurse told me a major of the people passed out on the table! It was horribly painful mostly cause you filled up with pain causing gas! Nightmare
SO MUCH BETTER NOW AND CAN SAVE A LIFE! Preventive care is essential to a longer healthier happier life!

Misty, it is a simple but brave thing to have a colonoscopy, I lost my younger sister to gastrointestinal cancer last year. She never had any tests until it was too late. She was 58.
I had my colonoscopy this year, the doctor, knowing about my sister had tears telling me I was as clean and clear as clear can be.
Small discomfort easily accepted to have this outcome. I will do this again in a few years, thank you so very much for sharing your experience.

I'm feeling you on the colonoscopy prep! I just had mine done two weeks ago and the liquid nightmare fluid that I had to choke down was absolutely disgusting. You're right though, it is such an important thing to do. I'm 54 and I'm now trying to get my husband to get his done. They ended up finding/removing multiple polyps, thankfully all were benign. However, if they had been undetected and left alone, they could very well end up becoming cancerous. Thank you for putting yourself out there and sharing your experience so that you can hopefully inspire your viewers to get checked!

I get mine and so should my siblings, but some of them don't want to. When my mother was diagnosed with colon cancer she was already stage 4 unfortunately she very seldom went to a Dr. We lost her 9 months later. Please do as Misty suggests, get yours done, it does seem scary but you won't remember anything after you go to sleep. I am glad Misty, that yours turned out negative of anything wrong. Thank-you for putting this video up and maybe, just maybe it will be enough to make someone have the test done. See you next video and thank-you again. Oh and your dad is so sweet, and Mark.

I have had a foot of my colon taken out, so I’ve had my share of colonoscopies. I think I might be due for another one. The weird thing is my husband had the same thing a few years later. Glad you got it done. As most have said and I agree prep is worse than the procedure.

Glad everything went OK with your C-scopy! I've about 6 of them, and you're right, the worst part is the prep.

OMGoodness Misty...you are a trooper!! So glad it went well. I have one in January... ugh...but it's a necessity especially if you have a family history. Enjoy your first meal...yum😊

Wow you came through really good. I had mine early in the morning so no breakfast or drinks and I was so tired after I didn't even have the desire or energy to eat until I had a good nap. Glad the results were good. Mark sure got into the advent calendar opening. Fun

I’ve had one. I felt great after prepping. It was like my colon had a clean slate. It’s easy peasy.

I had a scope in April. I still remember how delicious that hospital food was when I was finally able to eat.

We have a couple who makes freeze dried candies and other items at our local flea market. They do actual yellow squash slices with onion salt on them, strawberry slices, peach slices, apple slices, as well as the Skittles, and gummy worms. They are all very yummy! Betty
