It's not only much cheaper, it's much more reliable than these Märklin motors aswell! Good work and a well made video, thanks!

I fixed so many Märklin C-Track Motors, certainly half of them had to be fixed or replaced.

Hi, nice! One question regarding the ESU SwitchPilot Servo, do you know if it is possible to connect a stellpult to the decoder? For example a Märklin 72720. So that the decoder (and the turnout) can be switched from either the CS3 or the stellpult?
I believe the Märklin M83 accepts that, but i don't know if the M83 can handle servos.

Yes, there is a pid header on the side, where you can connect buttons. Refer to the manual how to connect it.
      M83 cannot handle servo

hi there, Could you tell me, what was the size of the wire that you use for the points?

    • @thetrainroom

I think I used 1 mm or 1.2 mm. If it's too thinh it will bend, if it's too thick it will be difficult to bend, and might not fit in the holes.

Hi, thanks for the video. How often do you have feeder tracks when using the K-Track ?

Depends how many flex-tracks I have laid. Otherwise it's enough every 2-3 meters.

Otherwise every flex track needs it's own feed ? No other feeds on the points or crossovers ? Thanks for your reply , looking forward to your next video.

Yes. If you don't use the Märklin piece to get power to third rail, you will need power on each flex track. I try to keep on side intact, so I need less cabling.
I don't feed the point specially, it is enough with one feeder nearby.
You will have to try out.
