    I bought a 2023 Venue SLE last month. It is an amazing car. Over 45 mpg on hwy. More than enough power. A great car.. The only thing I did was did a legal window tint after buying.. Amazing car for the money. Even has a moonroof.

    • @edsgarage001

      Honestly, the numbers on the stats are overly easy to achieve.

      @@edsgarage001 I'm getting the 10,000 miles lease but I'm considering going up to the 15,000 miles lease because it's only $30 more a month. Do you think it's worth it to take the extra mileage just in case? What do they charge for over 10,000 mi?

    • @edsgarage001
      @edsgarage001  Год назад

      I'm not actually sure, as I'm in Canada.
      I can tell you that in Canada it's 12 cents per km over.
      $3 is worth it though in my opinion, that way it's not something you need to worry about and if you decide to keep the car in the future, it'll likely be worth more then the buyout as it'll have less then the expected mileage.

      This vehicle has Hyundai's 1.6L inline 4 cylinder engine which is probably one of the most reliable engines on the market today. And by far the most reliable Hyundai has ever built.
      It's mated to an IVT transmission, also built in-house by Hyundai (Hyundai is the only company that builds every type of transmission in house). It's also been quite reliable.
      The general consensus among many vehicle reviewers is that this vehicle is well above average for reliability.
      I also work at a Hyundai dealership, and can say from experience here that these vehicles have been very reliable.

    I got the 2023 Venue SEL (mid tier) I love it! The wireless apple CarPlay, automatic lock when I move it out of park and automatic unlock. A sunroof! My only meh about it, is the sound quality. I don’t normally have my music loud but it’s so quiet! For the streets I have it at 30 and the freeway 45. I did come from a Honda Fit and my fit sound stereo and were really good. Also, I wish the time was in the cluster. Especially since the weather is on there. Can’t see why both can’t be on there.
    I’m averaging about 31mpg. Granted I’m on the freeway a lot, and use sport mode when I’m on the freeway. And drive pretty fast like 78-80mpg (I’m in LA so that speed is norm)
    I’m curious to what I can get if I only drive normal. My Honda fit averaged about 35mpg. But obviously my fit was quite a bit smaller and didn’t have a lot of horse power. 😅
    Over all, I really love my car

    Now for a dose of reality - Hyundai /Kia has had a significant number of premature engine failures and Hyundai / Kia has denied warrantee claims on some of these failures. There have also been reports of oil consumption on some engines for which H/K will claim "this is normal". Most car reviewers are intoxicated by the off gassing of the plastics of a new car and ignore the reliability rating of the manufacturer - all European , Korean , Nissan , most North American vehicles fall into this category. Let the buyer beware.

    • @edsgarage001
      @edsgarage001  Год назад +7

      The engine failures have been the 2.0 turbo and the 2.4l na.
      These engines are no longer used. And I'll add, that as long as regular maintenance has been done, Hyundai and ava Kia have been covering replacements, and are committed to doing so for life.
      I work at a dealership, and the only recall claims I've seen declined are for people who've done little to no maintenance. It's pretty easy to tell when a person hasn't maintained their vehicle.
      The 1.6L in the venue has been an extremely reliable engine for over a decade.
      As for reliability ratings, check JD power and associates, Hyundai and Kia have been killing it, and have climbed up in the ranks faster then any other company. For the last few years the Hyundai group has consistently been above average for reliability, even taking 3 of the top 4 spots for 2019.
      There's no excuse for the poor reliability of the 2.0 and 2.4.... but those are only two of the many engines they use and now they're not even used anymore.
      The fact that Hyundai has been growing so fast, is partially why the media has their microscopes trained on them. Hyundai is big news, both good and bad.
      Every company goes through this at some point.
      That sir, is the reality.
