@Mark rapacki I first heard this "plan" by her Coach Bobby Kersee. He has given several interviews talking about this idea, apparently Sydney is on-board with focusing more of her energy to the straight 400m.
He sounded pretty serious to me and I've even heard Flo Track channel talking about this announcement ... but you're right, until we actually see such a thing, talk is cheap.
I'd Love to see her focus ALL her energy into it .... the women's 400m WR is one many say will never be broken. I think Sydney likes the challenge of going for It??

@@swampdickie In athletics? They have the fastest man AND woman alive in the 100 and 200m. They have the world record in men's 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay. The current men's 110m hurdles Olympic champion is a Jamaican. They have the top 3 fastest women in the world last year and most likely this year. Those 3 women swept the olympics AND the world champs last year. Jamaica is also the Under20 world champions in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay and hold the U20 world record in the 4x100m relay and mens long jump. They also have olympic medals in womens hurdles, and field events. They're called the sprint nation for a reason and were earning medals long before Bolt, when Americans were being suspended for drugs left and right. It's a popular vacation spot for a reason. Also, ever heard of reggae and its watered down cousin reggaeton? One of the most copied/imitated music forms in the world. Known worldwide. Jamaica doesn't have to live up to your expectations but you sure know they exist, how come? Lol

I'm a total USA fan but I have to give that Sharika Jackson her props. That young lady can flat out fly. When she was chasing TT Terry was a show stopper and she's just cute as hell to boot. I wish her well but I hope she never out runs the girls from USA

Right. TT Terry hasn't peaked yet. And Jamaica and USA are always the ones to watch.

She went sub-22 at almost 28yo. Abby did it at 22.

@@efisgpr not a fair assessment to make. At 22, Sherika was running the 400m and getting Olympic medals. She only transitioned to the 200m (and 100m) last year.

Please Allow us to correct you one on something that you have overlooked. Jackson is an old helfer who has been around for some ten years plus. She is not a young lady.

Shericka should have been on the third leg and Shelly anchor and it would have been a sure win

Really????? Shelly should have started, we all know she’s got a bullet start, quick advantage and puts the rest under instant pressure, Shelly should have started the race, but typical they just wanted their fastest runner at the end, Shelly lost all her given advantage on a running start, because most athletes builds up to speed within the exchanges, I will forever say if Shelly had started we would have won easily
