That was a tricky 😳 coaster, round would be easier to the diameter. Your like me, I'm like a dog 🐕 with his bone 😏 I will not give up, even if it makes me crazy. I'm not saying your crazy 😜.... if you mark to at your matching point. Well done for getting it. The peachy gold is pretty. Can't wait for how it turns out. I don't know if you've learned this yet but.... if you have already made a project from that mold then you can take that finished piece and put it on top of your inlay for a more perfect fit. Because that gives the inside measurements! Or you could've laid wax paper, tissue paper, etc inside the mold and mark it that way. Great job!! You chose a hard shape for your first inlay!!

you could have painted the tops of the molds with mica, turn them upside down and got a perfect line where you want to cut. I love your inlays! where did you find the tray?

It was cured. I just took it and cut it up and used it for things like phone stands and business card holders.

Or trace a coaster pre-made by that mold
