I wonder if the first scent would work well to layer with a more traditionally feminine scent, something with some sweetness like vanilla or marshmallow.
I agree! I layer it with the dupe for Love, Don’t be Shy and it really smells good! I’ve gotten used to the scent by itself now, but I too thought it was sweeter given the caramel note
I was debating checking these out but I’ve bought so many fragrances recently from various brands and wanted to wait for a review. I’m so happy you decided to do this for us, because I trust your judgement 💯. I’m happy I decided to pass for now and went with my other fragrances I decided to buy
I'm just so happy they finally started shipping to Canada! They say they have phased out the sample vials because they want to reduce their single use plastic but they are allowing returns of used bottles. I find it funny that they make a point to say "vegan black leather" but then just write "suede" haha, all of their perfumes are vegan but do they think folks don't realize suede is leather too or?? XD
I'm very slowly getting into fragrance with my tight budget, so my two full bottles are actually Dossier dupes of Jo Malone and Muglier. I've skimmed so many emails about these original fragrances, so I'm excited to hear your thoughts on them!
I actually prefer non-sweet gourmands, so I'm really interested in trying the Caramelized Lavender and Hazelnut. I also really like that more perfumes are being marketed as unisex these days (even though I love feminine fragrances too).
I was never a perfume girl but I've watched all your scent Sundays and subbed to your other channel just because you're my fave. But I went to Ulta only to smell perfumes. Who am I???😅
how did you know i was browsing on Dossier the other day? i was debating trying one of these Genderless ones to go with some they have restocked. but in reality i need to wait and enjoy the 3 i have that i love.
I hated the fiery leather and rhubarb. I never return fragrances I usually gift them but everyone I had smell it hated it . On the plus side I had to scrub it off (one spray) so if you like it, at least it lasts and projects. The caramelized lavender and hazelnut was ok to me but I wouldn’t wear it so I sent it back as well. I love seeing how we all interpret smell so different. Great review!
The first two sound very interesting to me. I have a large collection and I’m almost done with a couple of them. I will be looking to pick up affordable fragrances (preferably under $50) I’m also in the process of inventorying my collection so I will be looking for ones that don’t dupe what I have unless the existing ones were discontinued. As for unisex/ genderless/ non-binary scent marketing, I think that’s awesome. One of my favorite scents to wear is Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million Parfum (marketed to men). I wear it work (a medical group at a military base), and get lots of compliments from high ranking men. They all give me a shocked or confused look when I tell them it was marketed to men. So, wear what you like. Marketing shouldn’t matter.
I appreciate this review!!! I was interested in trying the first scent, but I don’t think it is for me. I usually tend to agree with your scent profile so I’ll be looking for something else! ❤
I was intrigued but won't be biting. I was also hoping the first would be more gourmand so that's a disappointment. I also like the thought behind the collection but not the name (mostly I wish they didn't put the collection name on the bottles, it's just not aesthetically pleasing to look at the word "genderless" to me and I don't think we even need to perpetuate the idea that scents had a gender to begin with but just my view).
I’ve been dying to watch this since last night. I’ve been super curious. I’ve got several of the their fragrances; their love don’t be shy is by far my fave dupe of that. Of all the people to review them the person who describes scents LIKE NONE OTHER- im psyched.
The only one I wanted to try that sounded good was the Lavender and Hazelnut but I was assuming it had at least a bit of sweetness. Now I’m not interested in any of them 😂 Oh well.
I had my order of Dossier delivered and this was one of my selections, Lavender and Hazelnut. At first I was unimpressed with it, especially on paper. When it's on the skin though it changes into something unique. Also, it's very hard to describe. I liked after skin contact; lasts about 5 hours on me.
I’ve never smelled Baccarat Rouge but I’ve recently bought Ambery Saffron and it turns horribly on my skin. I like wearing it when I spray it on my clothes but I’m used to spraying my perfumes on my bare skin and it doesn’t work with that one which doesn’t make me trust the quality of their raw materials. Speaking of saffron, I don’t know if it’s a note you like but, if you do, you should definitely try Phlur’s Somebody Wood. It smells like a perfume version of Byredo’s Safran candle.
It could just be that you don't like Baccarat. I tried it in a department store and it was overwhelmingly "meh" to me, no impression was made at all. FWIW Lauren adores their dupe and crowned it the best of all Baccarat dupes so unless you got a specific bad batch it sounds more like you just don't like that scent profile!
@@alexandragatto I JUST tried the baccarat dupe and I'm soooo underwhelmed after all the hype and despite liking the notes in theory. Thankfully Dossier does returns at least
@@alexandragatto you might be right but I quite like it when I spray it on my clothes instead of directly on my skin. Also I am a little worried I wouldn’t love the real Baccarat because I’m not the biggest fan of ambroxin
I really love it!! I have almost used up a whole bottle!! I think it’s one of the best dupe house version of Baccarat! If you want a basically identical smell though Orientica’s Amber Rouge is like literally spot on! Hope that helps! :)
Hello🥰 thanks for this vid, i know you love fig so i really recommend you ANNICKE 2 from EIGHT & BOB , it is so cozy, warm, fig and tea omg 100% you will love it. Xo from France 😘
I hate the caramelized lavender hazelnut! It reminds me of vicks rub , I also did not like citrus matcha that one gave me elderly vibes. Like urine undertone yuk. Returning them
I think the 3 of them to be more masculine than unisex. The vetiver is really masculine for me. Also, It kinda clash with the patchouili a bit. I think they smell good, but it is not for me.
Dossier NEEDS to be able to ship to Canada. It’s so sad they don’t. I know it’s hard with perfume, but I’m still so sad I can’t buy from them. Im hoping when Glossier comes to Sephora Canada that I’ll be able to get a sample of Glossier You since I’ve heard such good things about it being gender neutral.

A perfect way to describe caramelized lavender and hazelnut is ( lavender vicks rub)
These are so interesting! And I agree that at 30$ these are such interesting and in depth fragrances. I’ll have to try
I wonder if the first scent would work well to layer with a more traditionally feminine scent, something with some sweetness like vanilla or marshmallow.
Yeah!! I definitely want to add a nice fluffy vanilla to it!! I think that would make it for me!!

I just got 3 Dossier scents in the mail. I bought Floral Marshmallow, Albert Saffron and Fruity Almond. I really like them all 💐😊
This look is so beautiful and that is such a sweet idea for a perfume collection
Thank you!!

the lavender and hazelnut sounds so interesting and right up my alley, i'll have to check them out!

Hey Lauren, have you seen the new Finery fragrances at Target yet? They're supposed to be dupes of more expensive perfumes. 💗
Oooooh excited to hear your thoughts!!!!

I have found my tribe. Loved the review and the energy even more 🖤
I wish this was available in Europe, these scents sound amazing!
I’m so happy you made this video! I’ve been waiting for a good review. I’m really curious about these new scents.

So I may have totally missed this, but have you ever reviewed or tried Oribe’s Fragrance line?

Hey Lauren, what are your thoughts on Dossier’s Ambery Saffron in regards to how close it is to MFK? Love your vids!

They have the best packaging.
I have been loving unisex, not sweet to not too sweet perfumes. The genderless collection has my eye.
