I’ll only buy a travel size now if it’s a spray. No on the rollerballs. I will even go for larger sample sizes to get a spray…I find the experience just isn’t the same with dabbers/rollers. I’ve been doing Scentbird for a while but I need to take a break from it bc the selection isn’t as broad as I’d hoped.
I love travel sizes, and I wish they were more ubiquitous! I feel like many brands only sell some of their best sellers in smaller sizes, or only in packs, which is so annoying if you tend to be very picky and also unable to afford all these scents in full bottles (hi, it's me).
Nest Indigo remminds me a lot to Poets of Berlin! what do you think? Regarding travel sizes and decants, I own the same amount of full bottles as decants (50 of each one).
There is one fragrance from Replica that we don't hear much about and I don't know why, Whispers in the Library. To my nose, it is a cross between Autumn Vibes and a very toned down version of By the Fireplace, I think it is so so good!! If you come across that one, would love to hear what you have to say!
@the perfume guy Sebastian has definitely talked about perfume houses getting bought by larger companies and the formulas getting changed. So, yes, those older perfumes are very likely different from the current versions. I've only recently gotten into buying perfume and wearing it daily. I have several deluxe samples and travel size ones. The Demeter blueberry roll on oil smells really yummy. It's a one note, but it's fun to layer with Not a perfume for extra dimension.
I love the entire concept of Memoires Archives and Replica because they pinpoint a moment. And I find that so relatable because memory and scent are insanely connected for me. Even the ones that didn’t work for me personally, painted a picture of a moment in my mind. And I just love that.
Yes TY! I’m a travel size/mini girlie and love seeing collections. The yellow Vilhelm bottle are stunners and make me want to try outside of mango skin. I love the replica range though literally only wear springtime in the park myself. My next buys will be Ellis Brooklyn and some more jo Malone. I also have a 7 piece Nest sampler set and I was so disappointed! They smell very sunscreenish or cheap hotel shampoo. Poppy and wisteria are okay but yeah not full size worthy.
I love having travel size sprays because I only wear fragrance a few days a week and a travel size lasts me forever! I only have 2 that I’ve committed to a full size 😂 Not A Perfume (it became my sleep fragrance and I have my wife conditioned for sleep upon smelling it 😂) and the original Donna Born in Roma!
In my experience, Jo Malone fragrances go off really quickly. I'm not a huge fan of Wood Sage & Sea Salt to begin with, but it shouldn't smell like vinegar.
i love wood sage and sea salt!! its the closest thing i have to a signature scent. to me its woody and aromatic but also fresh (i smell a lot of grapefruit). but ive noticed it tends to go very sour and salty in hot weather which can make it smell like sweat lmao. i dont wear it in the summer for that reason. so i totally get what you mean with the vinegar comment!
Morning Chess and Dear Polly!!!! Love them :). Red Moon from Hermetica gives me Morning Chess vibes as well :) Also - for anyone interested, Ipsy has at least 2 By Rosie Jane scents, Ellis Brooklyn West, Memoire Archives WFH, and 2 Skylar scents as well as some perfume oils and other items.

Royalty Scents [finally] got some Kilian Fragrances the last few days. Good Girl Gone Bad, Black Phantom, and Love Don't Be Shy. I have all of them in my Queue. 🙄
I had a similar reaction to smelling Bohemian Lime from Goldfeild and Banks. By itself, I would prefer to smell it on a guy than on myself. HOWEVER, layer Bohemian Lime with Boarkwalk Delight from Skylar, and it is magical. I can't recommend that layering combo enough.
Omg I think beach walk is amazing! Have you tried lazy Sunday morning? Also I love my way and flower bomb. When my flower bomb went off it darkened in color just like yours. Agree with you on the alcohol smell in la vanilla’s vanilla. Their scents are just too sweet for me now.
I love travel sizes too! I agree with the Replica, I only really love Sailing Day. I also have Lazy Sunday Morning but it’s so similar to Narciso Rodrigues For Her. I almost never return perfume but I did return When the Rain Stops, as I only got men’s cologne like you.
Urban Outfitters Le Beach is IMO 90 percent similar to Replicas Beach Walk. And I actually find Le Beach is a little stronger and lasts longer on my skin. I already have a second bottle otw to me
I love Coco Extreme as a layering frag. I add it to other scents to make them more summery and I like the coconut because it’s a very realistic coconut and smells fresh but creamy

Wow... I'm not a scent person. I have 1 body spray at the moment. That's as extensive as my collection goes! Hahaha! You make scents sound so good! When I go to purchase something I just get super overwhelmed by the options and by the initial smell of that part of the store. So by the time I find a tester or an sssociate, I'm already getting a headache. I might manage to smell 1 or 2 and usually I just walk away. 🤷🏼♀️ I'd love a personal shopper for fragrance! Hahaha! Hopefully, I'll hear you describe a scent that sounds so good that I just have to have it, and I can do a blind buy. 😂🤷🏼♀️
Jo Malone scents seem to go rancid faster than any other brand. They really should be kept in the fridge. I’ve learned that the hard way and have had to throw away large bottles, which hurts my heart. I only buy their small bottles now.
Ylang ylang is in yog nog it naturally has a custardy banana like undertone to it. I used to love lavanilla coconut and the grapefruit. I’m tempted to get a vanilla grapefruit bottle, it’s not too spendy either.
Honest Question- Do you find Comptour Sud Pacific's sweetness to be too... "synthetic"? I know scent is totally subjective, but I definitely vibe with, or even own, a lot of your library. 💜 I ask because I unfortunately found this to be the case for both Montale and Mancera... Try as I might, I just can't get into them. Not here, not there, not anywhere. I've had CSP's Banana and Coconut on my list for a while, but don't want to greeted with the same unfortunate "synthetic" sweeteness. This is JUST MY NOSE's opinion. I own Juicy Couture and Ariana Grande too girl! I feel like the Montale/Mancera synthetics remind me of a poorly blended candle though... if that makes sense? Absolutely love both your channels, and always appreciate your honesty and content!!🖤

I have Tom Ford's Ombre Leather I find I use that to deepen up alot of to light, to sugary, to floral scents just to change them give them more depth.
