No built in WiFi in 2024 is absolutely unbelievable.

I like that fact. But you can use the dongle for Wi-Fi. I want to use my phone as little as possible. But I understand a lot of people like that sort of thing

Wifi is available, just not included because it isn't necessary. Is it a nice feature to have? Sure can be! But I just don't think having to pick up a wifi dongle separately, if you actually want to use it, is a reason to avoid a light. There are so many other reasons that actually make a big difference to performance, like spectrum and optics, that should be at the top of the list!

@@ThomasBReef for an extra expense. Hydras have had this as an onboard option for years.
I'm a Kessil owner, and love them, but this is a silly exclusion of features

@terranncegilmore I think we also have to assume that if they built it into the fixture, the price would increase, at least partially (less the cost of the plastic housing and extra packaging I'd hope) but I bet they'd also have to increase the size of the fixture to accommodate the extra board.
Also worth noting one dongle works for multiple lights as long as they are linked via K-link cables vs having a wifi chip in each fixture.
Who knows, kessil may turn around and add it in on the next generation of pendant lighting. I will say your complaint is a very common one that I hear!

Why does the A360XE have the X printed inscription on its top surface instead of the XE? The Kessil site shows an image of the spotlight with the E, but I have already seen a couple of videos without that inscription. Is that your case? It seems so, right? How can we make sure we are not buying the same previous version?

    • @RD_uno

Because you are buying the same light just different name. There is no comparison.

U can check the model on the sticker!! Says xe. But the printed incription its like the older. Only X

I compared the XE vs my 360x. There is more leds added to the XE.

Companies with poor after-sales service will charge a $100 inspection fee first for repairs. And it cannot be deducted from the maintenance fee and is calculated separately

As mentioned, no built in wifi no purchase. I also can't believe your showcasing a non aperture owned light. I hope yall can break away from them and restore what was a great company.

Unfortunately not recommended in Europe. After two years, the AP9X is defective and Kessil says throw it away and buy a new one. No repair, no spare parts, not even for a fee. I will never buy it again.

I contacted them for an A360X having fan and color-switching issues after 2 years of use, and they wanted $100 for an “inspection fee,” to SEE if the lamp was repairable. As in, they could straight up determine it was unrepairable and you’d be out $100. That’s not even counting the repair fee they would charge if they determined it could be fixed. Oh, and did I mention that they make you pay for shipping the light there, and back as well. They’re like Apple, but without the quality control. “Just shut up and buy a new one.”

Kessil will no longer get my money. After many Kessil's I purchased over the years for my reef tank, they have failed within three years. I was denied warranty many times and as a result Kessil is lucky I didn't contact the better business bureau. There shady business practices and rude customer service has made me switch to amazon for a cheaper alternative. BRS needs to reavaluate there partnership with Kessil and offer more affordable options with enhanced reliabilty.
