Randy, I love your videos! Is there any way you could do a video on building a manifold with a parts list at BRS? I know you guys have produced FAQ's about the manifold but I would love to see something instructional.
I like very low color temp and I bought a pair of tuna blue A80s for my nano before choosing if I wanted kessils for my large tank and I was dissapointed in the color spectrum but really pleased with the shimmer. Would kessil tuna sun A360s grow coral? SPS in particular. Thanks, this video is really informative and I've watched it and many more several times.
Guess I'll have to try a kessil A80 tuna sun with my nano tank, see if it works. I want the tunna sun kessil a360s with T5s for the display and a couple h380s for a large refugium, would the h380 refugium outcompete the display for algae growth? Tank nutrients no3=1-2ppm. po4=0.03ppm
I notice you guys mostly carry the puck style LED lights, are there major advantages of the puck over the strip style (like current USA, aquamaxx, etc.)?
Wow, I'm drooling, and I've actually developed and installed various forms of lighting for zoological and scientific applications (greenhouses, reptile enclosures, reef tanks, etc), and in analytical laboratory equipment such as various types of spectrometer and controller systems. This thing was VERY well thought-out, and I am impressed. Not horrendously-priced, either. I will soon be starting a new 32g BioCube, and I figured that I would just retrofit the stock lights in the hood, but I think that I will definitely look into these. The shimmer rivals the halides of the past, and the spectrum shown in this video (10,000k - 14,000k) is close to perfect. The controllers and software also looks very well thought-out. Trust me, this is lab grade lighting. If I had to design a reef lighting module for the mass-consumer's home reef tank, this would be it. It's almost sad.. reefers used to love to boast about who's lighting, filtration, etc. was best. No more..
I have a 55 gallon and I plan on moving to the kessel would I need one or two or can I buy one kessel and then buy a different type of brand lol it’s a lot of money
So i have an IM lagoon 25 that will be mixed. As its a shallow tank, what do you suggest in terms of height and intensity? Im completly lost..thank you
Hi BRS. Thanks for the quick reply. Im sorry, prehaps i should give a bit more context to my question. Currently i have a 2ft tank running 2× A160we. The lights are set about 20cm apart and are sitting approx 8 inches above the tank. I do run a kessil controller as well. My primary concern is the intensity i should be running at peak. Should i be running at 50% or 75%. I havent been in the hobby for long so im worried about bleaching corals and of course algae blooms caused by too much light. I do run a long photo period about 10hrs
I have a 56 gallon column tank. It's 30x18x24. I'm having a hard time figuring out what kind of lights I need because it's rather tall and I can't find 30 inch lights. Any suggestions on what my lighting options are? I am new to reefing and would probably keep easy corals like soft coral. I appreciate any feedback I can get. Thanks!
Given the unique shape of that tank, you may be better off with two smaller fixtures rather than one larger one. While a single A360 may illuminate a majority of the tank, I think you'd be happier with a pair of Kessil A160s for more even coverage.
I have 2 kessil lights for my aquascape tanks. They are bloody nice. I wish I do not have to use their horrible kessil controller that needs to be plug to the power 24/7. Nowadays, there are lights coming out that could be controlled by a smartphone. Ecotech have interesting product for freshwater. I wish BRS has international shipping.
I don't know if you guys made a change but this is the first video where I feel like he's not screaming at me.great improvement! Thanks
Thank you so much BRS for this video! I love Kessils, I spent tons of time trying to figure out how many use on my tank, and now I know :)
Truly the king of all aquarium lighting.
To hide cables you can use heat shrink and slide it over the flexible holder and cables. Works well
Great video, thanks Randy! 50% colour looks great!
Please share complete design details on how you made that custom hanging bracket.
Great video Randy. I actually helped setup some 360s on a apex the other day. Was my first playing with some :)
Are you guys going to review the Maxspect Recurve LED?

Just the video I needed!

Hey guys, I have a 60"x18"x30" tank. Should I go for a a360N or the a360W ? Could you kindly advise please ?
Great video
What is the K range on these? I’ve searched but maybe my search criteria isn’t strong.
Hi BRS. Just wonder for point no.2, do the same guidelines apply to the a160we?

So 1 of these would be good for a 16g biocube sps dominate tank?
Please please test Kessil a160!! So many of us have them!
love my kessils

Murphy's Reefing ok I'll look into that! Thanks for the advice!
Murphy's Reefing yeah I'll definitely check you out, I need some ideas haha
Is one enough for a 54 gallon aqueon corner tank
