  • Video: A late afternoon spotting trains at Leighton Buzzard station situated on the West Coat Main Line, this spot features passing Avanti West Coast & LNWR services to/from London Euston, West Midlands & the North, and stopping LNWR & Southern services to/from London Euston, Birmingham, Northampton, Clapham Junction, and MKC, as well as a passing LO 315 Northampton storage move (the last units before they returned in preparation for scrapping on 03/11/20), and lots of passing freight moves.
    Some additional footage from Watford Junction that day is included at the start.
    TRAINS INCLUDED:
    Avanti West Coast Class 221 Super Voyagers & Class 390 Pendolinos, London Northwestern Class 350 Desiros, London Overground Class 315s, Southern Class 377 Electrostars, DB Class 66, DRS Class 66, Freightliner Class 66s & Class 86s, and GBRf Class 66.
    At Watford Junction - AWC Class 390, Colas Rail Tamper, Freightliner Class 66, GBRf Class 66, Royal Mail Class 325s.

    I love going trainspotting on the wcml especially Wolverton because you see lots of trains from all over the country going there to be maintained, I would recommend you go there!!

      At the time of recording Ilford depot was overcrowded with trains (old and new), and because the LO 315s were on there way out some were warm stored at Northampton in case they were needed again if a 710 was unavailable or faulty. This was the last storage move there before it came back Ilford to be dragged to Newport for scrapping.

    What's the orange stripe at the top of the trains?

      A cant line, it prevents people getting frazzled from the OHLE, it’s basically a mark to show that you cant put your hand or anything that’s conducive over that line without potential death or severe injuries

      On a ECS to Northampton EMUD I think so not for passengers
