Trains at: Kings Langley, WCML, 05/09/2020

- An excellent afternoon spent at Kings Langley on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway and freight from Freightliner, GBRF, DRS, Rail Operations Group and DC Railfreight.
Kings Langley was opened by the London and Birmingham Railway in 1839 at the request and influence of a local industrialist by the name of John Dickinson. At the time the nearest station was either Watford or Boxmoor. Should John Dickinson had no used his influence it could have very well ended up as there being no station to serve the local area. But we will never know for sure.
The highlight for me here had to be the DC Rail class 56 giving it what for coming through the station which I know you will all enjoy.
My next station is going to be Ardwick in Manchester.

Today I went train spotting at king Langley and I saw the same 47749 and 47727
What a station Kings Langley is, in a word Wow! All the freight was brilliant but my faves were the 68, 56, 47s and 37. For once there were no pigeons. Stay safe and be well, regards Gary.
God. That class 56 sound amazing and I love the LNWR class 319 as well.

Fantastic video! 390119 looks really nice.That station is like Crews Hill station as it is extremely close to the M25.

MY old hunting ground, used to work there a few years back. Remember once they were refurbishing the tunnel under the tracks. The screen said next train north platform 3 it then arrived in on 1 but by the time we all ran round it had gone, this kept happening for over an hour, this was at night. Some were crossing the lines in desperation to get a train.
I never knew it was actually possible to access platform 2!
I can't say anything but this is probably one of my favourite of your videos since you started back up from Lockdown. Just perfect. Keep it up mate!

Those blue trains are going to be used by East Midlands Railway class 360. It is going to be a London St Pancras International to Corby service.
Indeed. The Greater Anglia and TFL Rail 360s will be transformed as EMR.

You don't see many class 56s now as most have them have either been scrapped or been converted to class 57s for freightliner or for colas railfrieht or DRS

It's all good talking about the trains in the video. But is no one going to mention the lullaby at the end?
There is an hourly Northampton train that runs fast line to Ledburn Junction then crosses to the slow as it doesn't stop until Leighton Buzzard.
That would explain it, certainly last year when I was catching the Northampton trains they were stopping at the intermediate stations so this would explain my confusion

Another splendid video. 390139 does not exist though as Lady Godiva is 390039. Good to watch though in these times when Merseyside is entering lockdown again.

Great video there Jarred. 390119 has been named 'Progess' now. It appeared on Rail Advent in Google news a few days ago. Got a question for you though regarding WCML South in TS2020 if you don't have it already. Is there an order in which you press buttons in the Pendolino because everyone I do it before having to set off from Euston is everything beeping profusely.

how do you know what class trains are passing at what time
In terms of knowing the class that just comes from years of railway knowledge, in regards to knowing where they are coming from and going to I use realtimetrains for all of my information

No they are different all together

And if you do how do you get on to the platform of southeastern or EMR platforms?

I won't be doing the central London terminus stations for a while, if I did go it would be on the EMR platforms as the SE staff can be funny about people on the platforms there. No you don't have to pay

Of course they can :) Just ask a member of the station staff for assistance and they will see to it that you get on your train
