This man is clutch. Im 23 and studying for the SAT after 5 years in the military. He's getting me on track very well as I supplement these videos with Khan Academy. Thumbs up for him!
You TRULY are an exceptional teacher man. I am 60 years old, did lousy in math all through school, and now in my old(er) age, I have you teaching me, and I AM LEARNING the math I always wanted to KNOW! You just have NO IDEA how grateful I am for your efforts, AND how GREAT it is to learn the math I have fantasized about knowing ALL MY LIFE. And I'm much older than you and many in your audience, and I am GETTING IT! ***THANK YOU***
I have been trying to teach myself this math for so long and every time I tried I got frustrated and gave up. My learning style is much different than others and these videos seem to be the only ones that I actually understand. Thank you for going in-depth and really teaching! I think I’m finally getting it!
Thank you so much! I am eternally grateful for this video. I always have had issues with understanding factoring in polynomials and algebraic equations, but somehow you made it super easy to understand! I am so happy right now!
I just got through Algebra 2 and am taking the summer off now to thoroughly review before Precalc. 1 begins in the fall semester. Looking back at this lesson really makes me appreciate how articulate you present the material. It makes all the difference for someone looking for help. Many thanks to you!
Initially,it seemed very tricky and hard to understand but with little practice and logical thinking it became meaningful and easy to understand. I'm grateful to you cause you make us understand maths in a easier and meaningful way!
my teacher introduced us to factoring polynomials a few days ago, and I was totally and utterly lost!! I have a test tomorrow, and my last ditch effort to understand was youtube. I stumbled across this video, and I went from "what do I do" to "oh I get It now!" this video was super helpful, keep up the great work!
I’ve been studying for my ged and always struggled with math. I subscribed to your website and you sir are awesome at explaining and giving problems. Thank you.
Thank you so much sir! Mathematics is not a difficult subject just that we have poor teachers/lectures who doesn't know how to teach. I'm following all your videos and so far so good 😊👍. I can proudly say I'm doing better in mathematics than I was before.
Great content. After doing a few problems you can get to the point where you can factor a quadratic in your head. Just think what factors of the constant will add up to give you the correct middle term coefficient. So if you have a constant of +8 and -9x middle term, then the factors -1 and -8 will give you a positive constant and the correct negative middle term.
I was stuck on this so hard I felt like I was an idiot for not understanding something seemingly so simple to others but my goodness you have such a talented way of conveying the message in such an easy to understand way
That was awesome. (r 1) (r 20) made a perfect angry face...lol I learn more from this guy in one lesson than I ever got from any of my teachers in a week.
Jason on the last example does it matter if you put it(r+2)(r+10) or (r+10)(r+2). Anyway it is a really good lesson thank you very much for your time. Regards Arthur.
this is so very helpful i jst cant hardly evn believe it! can someone pse tell me in which "course" on his website this lesson may be found? i'm guessing its either a lesson in the Algebra-1 or Algebra-2 course? but, ther is also an Algebra-1 "Tutor" and Algebra-2 "Tutor" series on the website!? i wish i knew which course this lesson is hiding in :)
Can Jason explain to me the reasoning why you have to get the sum of the x variables and the product of the constants and not the other way around? thank you. Also which course is this video taken from on your site, so i can buy the course. thank you!
I the first example, the POSITIVE SIGN in front of the CONSTANT 2 tells us that both signs are going to be the SAME. Then, the sign in front of the COEFFICIENT 3 tells us what it will be, both will be a + sign.
My method is: find all combinations of two numbers when multiplied result im the last part of the equation and at the same time if you sum up those two number gives the middle part of the equation. Than you have the solution
I want to thank you so much for your help! You have an unique way to explain. I'm brazilian and I follow your video classes, it really helps me! Thank you one more time
Rule for the signs is: if 2nd sign is positive, then the signs in the parenthesis are the same and are the same as the 1st sign. If the 2nd sign is negative, then the signs in the parenthesis are one positive and one negative.
I think all of my teachers cant explain the way you do. I mean if I had you as my Math teacher I wouldn't fail Math. I always looked stupid in front of it, Oh Gosh!
Once the 2 numbers can't add up to give the "b" coefficient, whether or not their product yields the 'c" value, they are out. No need to try different signs, it just won't make any difference. You need 2 numbers whose sum gives the "b" coefficient and whose product yields the "c" values. Then you figure out the signs.
"This topic requires you to fail a little bit...an- and- not fail the class but i mean-" Idk why I giggled at that part😂 Probably because it describes me and my "close to the edge" grades🥹

I must say that, your students are blessed to have you!
They're blessed to have GOD
They are so lucky!!

You also gotta think your brain isn’t fully developed when you’re in school, so as you get older it’ll become easier
The way you explain things is very helpful
Awesome!

SAME! Jason is always my go-to when I absolutely can't figure something out, or if my teachers can't explain it to me in a way that I can understand.
Same here ..
learning styles dont exist
rt + 12r + 20
*. 20 = 2x10 = 4x5
10 + 2 = 12 = (b)
**.10: 10x10 + 12x10 + 20
100 + 120 +20 # 0
-10: 100-120+20= 0
** 2: 2x2 + 12x2 + 20
4 + 24 + 20 # 0
-2: 4 - 24 + 20 = 0
*** r' = -2, r" = -10 ./.

I love you Sir ....... From India Your Videos are really awesome .
Thank you so muchh, I was struggling so badd in this topic, explaining it properly especially when I'm an auditory learner, have a great day
You are an AWESOME teacher. Thank you sir.
I love the way you explain this 'cause I find some agreement with my thinking Thanks
I was stuck on this so hard I felt like I was an idiot for not understanding something seemingly so simple to others but my goodness you have such a talented way of conveying the message in such an easy to understand way
Where are these newer lectures hosted?? I only see the old recordings on your website!!

Thank you for your tutorial
Best explanation sir, thank you
Ohhhhhhh I understood finally. 😭😭😭 I'm so happy
I had hard time factoring, but watching this videos helped me a lot. Thanks a lot for teaching
Thank you for the math tip.
I am a math teacher and his videos help me a lot in my teaching.
Very good lesson 👍 I learnt something.
I love it when he tries to answer Why we so this and that 😊😊😊❤❤
That was awesome. (r 1) (r 20) made a perfect angry face...lol I learn more from this guy in one lesson than I ever got from any of my teachers in a week.
THANK YOU... SIR...!!!
U are amazing!
Thank you🙏
You are very welcome!

Well done
Thank you soo much! My maths buddy sent this to me😃
Thanks u sir God bless u
Thank you sooo much for your help
Wow! Just like that I understand
Checking out your website, which course would this topic be included in? Thanks!
Jason on the last example does it matter if you put it(r+2)(r+10) or (r+10)(r+2). Anyway it is a really good lesson thank you very much for your time. Regards Arthur.
I know its been like 4wks but nope, in this case it doesn't matter. You'll get the same outcome either way.
God bless you honestly
Sir thank U i learned a lot from u.
thanks sir for this amazing video
Is anyone else trying to crame this in before a test
Good luck in your studies!
Jason, MathAndScience.com
I'm here prepping for the ibew apptitude test but I'm like a month early so idk if it's cramming
Studying for the TEAS 7 exam
Failed it already, trying not to fail the next one
Yep I am
Thanks you sir
Thank you
Thank You!
Thanks 🎃
Thank you so much! Where can I find part 2?

I have mastered the completing the squared method and the quadratic formula..but can't get a grisp on factoring
Rule for the signs is: if 2nd sign is positive, then the signs in the parenthesis are the same and are the same as the 1st sign. If the 2nd sign is negative, then the signs in the parenthesis are one positive and one negative.
I am not smart I cannot do this I am not good at math you are correct and that's why I'm here
I think all of my teachers cant explain the way you do. I mean if I had you as my Math teacher I wouldn't fail Math. I always looked stupid in front of it, Oh Gosh!
You definitely aren’t stupid! We all just need to practice!

Would youl like to be my online tutor ..Ihave some questions troubling me
its not difficult until the problem asks you to use all the factoring methods
how to factor this 5x²-2x+1
what happens when a>1
cWhy can I not find the playlist this belongs to? uhg... EDIT!! Got it, Algebra 2 Course - Unit 4 (if anyone else is having trouble)
this guy is a fucking master at math!!!!!
Why not just use the so-called "magic X" instead of all of that trial & error?
All your examples did not have coefficients to the first term. What about if the first terms have coefficients?
Coefficient of first term is 1
Great to get a free education at home lol
Hi
Hi
Hi
he has such beautiful hand writing 😍
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you sooooooo much for breaking it down like this I understand now how to factor 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
