I can actually see both being incorporated. And I see the whole scene play out right now : you have a Lions guy, let's call him Jared for now, and Thom are making jabs at each other when Tom walks in (playing himself of course) And then he says "It's so good to be home again..." pauses to see the Vikings and Lions fans and then he says "Wait, what are you guys doing in my home?"
