Do you think the LockPikingLawyer could get through? I tried to contact him when I was building this but couldn't get to him. Maybe now it can happen :) All I know is that I would love to find out so I can shake this sense of impending doom.

There's a flaw in some locks that concentrate on being unpickable. With moderate force, you can rotate the core with a bent screwdriver. The door this lock is in has a glass panel, and I assume you don't need a key to open it from the inside.
It is interesting philosophically that most of your projects are designing something to do something. The challenge of this is you’re designing something to prevent someone from doing something. Anticipating and overcoming all possibilities is extremely difficult. The former only requires finding one way that works.

As he says, the lock isn't commercially viable. This is because each lock has to be individually made to match the key. With a conventional lock, you only need to replace the pins to get it to work with a different key.

I can't wait to see how the Lockpicking Lawyer will tackle this challenge. I also agree with the suggestion to engineer the entire door in v3 to make it even more secure. Keep up the great work!
Can pretty much guarantee that there's a design vulnerability. Like pushing the rear lever back and driving all the pins up. Then reverse picking by dropping pins 1 by 1. There's probably worse tolerances than most factory locks.

i know how to unlock the "unpickable lock" materials: 1.lysol 2.alkaline water 3. two cups 4. a unused key first gat the key and put is in a cup then put a small amount of alkaline water then use the Lysol then spray the key in the cup (use many Lysol) then cover the cup with another cup (wait for like 2 min) then the key is now foldable and can bend and can be made into a new key (then insert the key inside the "unpickable lock" then boom its open)
A lock can be practically impossible for a human to pick in a realistic period of time, but breaking is a whole other issue that LPL brings up often. You don't even need to pick the lock if you can just put a torch to it and melt the insides to mush. In fact, if we take it to the extreme you could put an "impossible" core into a paper thin aluminium lock body and I'd probably be able to just rip it apart with my bare hands.

He was being literal, you cannot use a pick on a lock that doesn't use a key. You can however, open the lock using other means, magnets etc, but it wouldn't be called "picking the lock".
Single-pin pick resistant, anyway. The internals that I see look vulnerable to comb picking though. Those locking pins look like they can be pushed all the way into the faring. Easily fixed design flaw but it might make the first showdown with LPL embarrassingly short.

I love the creativity and skills involved in this project, but began to think that if I were faced with an intractable lock, I'd look for another way in rather than waste my time and effort on attempting to pick it.
LPL won't be able to pick this lock...Watch how it works again..Key goes in while simultaneously locking the pins in place and in order for locked pins to clear the bitting channels, the cylinder needs to be rotated, AWAY, from the only area any manipulation could possibly occur. That being at the key to pin contact holes and why this lock is unpickable. LPL would have to GUESS the right pin height for each pin and set them, if the locking mechanism actually allows that, in order to open the lock.

In rudimentary physics understanding.. F=ma. In this case if 'F' is the unstoppable force F= infinity. plugging this, infinity=ma m= infinity/a therefore m= infinity, ie the immovable object hence Shane is LPL in motion. We finally found the indentity of LPL guys.

materials:
1.lysol
2.alkaline water
3. two cups
4. a unused key
first gat the key and put is in a cup then put a small amount of alkaline water then use the Lysol then spray the key in the cup (use many Lysol) then cover the cup with another cup (wait for like 2 min) then the key is now foldable and can bend and can be made into a new key (then insert the key inside the "unpickable lock" then boom its open)

A lock can be practically impossible for a human to pick in a realistic period of time, but breaking is a whole other issue that LPL brings up often. You don't even need to pick the lock if you can just put a torch to it and melt the insides to mush. In fact, if we take it to the extreme you could put an "impossible" core into a paper thin aluminium lock body and I'd probably be able to just rip it apart with my bare hands.

Single-pin pick resistant, anyway. The internals that I see look vulnerable to comb picking though. Those locking pins look like they can be pushed all the way into the faring.
Easily fixed design flaw but it might make the first showdown with LPL embarrassingly short.

He should just make the video 10 hours long even if it takes him a minute to pick it.
LPL won't be able to pick this lock...Watch how it works again..Key goes in while simultaneously locking the pins in place and in order for locked pins to clear the bitting channels, the cylinder needs to be rotated, AWAY, from the only area any manipulation could possibly occur. That being at the key to pin contact holes and why this lock is unpickable. LPL would have to GUESS the right pin height for each pin and set them, if the locking mechanism actually allows that, in order to open the lock.
He did that once. The lock could not be picked.
