It definitely feels different. Obviously not as good of a climber, a little bit more stable and planted on the decent and has just a little extra buffer for when you make a mistake or go too fast over something.

The Tallboy is more playful and a more fun bike. If you aren’t on super steep and rough stuff you will probably be faster up and down on the TB
I mean Jackson Goldstone has some videos on the hightowers little brother the Tallboy and he is doing more than 99% of what anyone else can do on that thing. So I am sure the Hightower can outperform most.
That Specialized Z bottle cage is amazing. How do you like the SC bars? Been looking at those and the OneUp Carbon bars….still deciding. How does the new Super Delux shock compare to the previous one? Beautiful bike
Thank you! But I like the SC bars a lot, they actually have a similar oval shape but not as pronounced as the OneUp. Both are great though. In my opinion the new super deluxe is definitely better! I think the new RockShox stuff is the best suspension out right now, pretty amazing stuff!
hey man - great content - how do you think this compares to the v2 hightower? i really didnt like the back end of my v2 hightower, always felt really harsh no matter what i tried in the end i sold it, but i do miss the quality of the SC frame and tempted to try this one if it feels alot more supple and better suspension on the rear
Hey, thank you I appreciate it! I definitely think it’s better then the V2 in pretty much everything. I wouldn’t say it’s way better at anything but it’s better. It is less harsh in the rear end, but I wouldn’t say a crazy amount smoother. What rear shock did you have on your old HT and what is your new bike?
@@dialedmtb hey man thanks for reply….v2 was super deluxe ultimate and I also had it tractive tuned too but still felt really harsh at the back end….. latest bike is a v2 sentinel carbon with new sd ultimate ( so I know this 2023 ultimate is a great great shock )
Yeah I’m not sure if the new Hightower will be as smooth as the Sentinel, but it will probably be a little bit more fun when you aren’t on quite as steep or super rough trails.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on the way the bike rides, how you think it compares to previous generations, etc. That is a video I would watch.
Hey I have done a review on this bike! I’d like to do a full review but the weather has not been working with me for me to go ride anytime recently.
How does it climb compared to the TB4 you had?
It definitely feels different. Obviously not as good of a climber, a little bit more stable and planted on the decent and has just a little extra buffer for when you make a mistake or go too fast over something.
Yes I have a 2020 TB 4 too. How does it compare to the Tallboy 4?

Tbh I wish someone would do a review on this bike hitting big jumps and showing what it's capable of doing

Lols I have that Z cage on my SantaCruz Megatower.
It is a solid cage!
