Thanks Richard. You always share encouraging and insightful comments. Thank you. It was nice to know that “Bad Betty” has the equipment and confidence to challenge terrains and explore. This was somewhat mild, considering the many places we’ve challenged her along the way, I’d say for a production Van/RV I think people sometimes overlook the capabilities the EKKO truly have and can be further capable of. Thanks again and best wishes to you.
Hi Jason & Michelle-- looks like a true off grid adventure! We took our new Ekko out for its maiden voyage last week. To Durango, Ouray and Telluride along the San Juan Sky Way. The Ekko handled it like a champ. Used so much of your great information to make the trip a success. Just wanted to share :)
Hello Phyliss, that is great to hear that you enjoyed your trip and your EKKO performed well. Question, did you name your EKKO yet? I feel once you do it really becomes a member of the family and tends to treat you even better. (Lol, partially true). Thank you very much for subscribing to our channel and sharing some highlights of your adventures as well. Keep us posted on your journeys too. If You have instagram you can find us under EKKOnesters or on FB under Winnebago Ekko Free Speech group. Happy Travels ahead!
Thank you John, GO COUGS! We greatly appreciate the nice feedback. There are definitely some beautiful parts of this country as well as Oregon. Also, thank you for taking time to watch our video and share your comment/question. We did not moved our inverter as of yet. From what I understand, it would be a minimum of eight hours work for an experienced person and probably twice that for me lol. It’s always concerned me as to the current location and I'm trusting the hatch door seal to prevent moisture and water intrusion.
Whoa! A Ford fording streams (or a large puddle)? (Factory specs clearance of about 6.5 inches doesn't allow you much room to do so, but. somehow you did it.) How did you make sure it wasn't too deep? 3:07 - 3:14: That looked like petrified Brie cheese! Is the paint burning/wearing off the TF Grill? If so, is there a way to prevent that from happening (or somehow keep the unit black)? (By using stove black)?
Hello Robert, hope you’re having a great day. Lol on the Ford Stream comment. With the 225/75/16 falcon tires we have almost 8 inches from the differential to the ground. Initially I got out and walked through the puddle. The deepest part was the middle of it. So as I made the approach, I just try to keep the vehicle positioned the outside edges. The only thing I was really concerned about is where the inverter is located on the 2022 models. It’s always made me nervous that it is outside behind a compartment door with a rubber seal Around the door. Especially since the doors don’t fully sit flush with the body of the coach. Yes, the rock does look like brie cheese when it sits on my desk. It makes me think it’s a piece of banana cream pie lol. It’s surface rust so to speak on the side of the grill. I use that grill like crazy and I didn’t really notice the rust until you pointed that out. I to combat this I would use a rust neutralizer like POR-15. The follow up with high temperature stove paint to touch it up. I did reach out to the Owner of Trail Fire Grill.e a few moments ago and asked what his thoughts on this were. Overall, that grill has really held up. I’ve only had to replace the rocks once and that was my own fault. The thing I appreciate it is the company is very responsive to all messages and questions that I have sent. Thank you again for taking time to watch her video and sharing your feedback.
Hello Stina in TX, first, thank you for watching our video and following our channel. It truly means a lot to receive great feedback. The Trail Fire Grille operates off of propane. The nice thing is that you can comply with mandates during fire season when open wood fires/charcoal is banned and still enjoy a fire and really have the experience of cooking out doors. Its always nice to throw a few Treager pellets on the trail fire and get some good smokey/hickory flavors as well. Yes, the food was incredible. Also, if you decide to order a Trailfire, and you use our discount code of Ekkonester, you save some money. Yes, we do get a commission, but I Loved the Trail Fire Grille long before there was ever a commission coming our way. Thanks again and happy travels to you.
@@ekkonesters599 thanks for the reply. It is on my list of things to get but sadly is a ways off. Keep up the great work and enjoy Bad Betty to the fullest. ☺️
Another amazing location. Bad Betty sure looks nice crossing the water…. Thank for sharing the adventure.

Does the trail fire use propane and charcoal? Love the video and the food looked delish.
