  • Episode 2 of a recurring SUV camping adventures series in which I go off the beaten path to explore and profile less traveled places while SUV camping in my no build Suburban camper. In each episode I share the details of one free remote campsite. This episode features river camping on the Wild and Scenic John Day River in Oregon.
If you want to learn more about how to go anywhere, camp for free, and be prepared for anything, check out my website www.suburbanca... and here is the page featuring links to all the gear I utilize: www.suburbanca....

i like how your videos have meat and potatoes info. lots of other camping videos have the narrator's face most of the time as they chatter, but yours shows the place itself. thanks1!

Thanks Justin. We do have Pikeminnow in the PNW. They are invasive species and we can get paid to catch and kill them!

What an absolute gem of a video ! Completely immersive in its subject matter. I felt like I was on the trip with was you and Zoe and even Iris’ spirit. Even though you mentioned several times it was hot, for some strange reason the vid makes me feel like it was a brisk autumn day!

This is a great part of the State that tends to get overlooked. Nice catch by the way a 10:42. Loved the video!

Those are not whitefish. Those are Squawfish otherwise known as Northern Pikeminows
