Thank GOD I had the foresight to have one of the managers write, sign & date a letter which read that I had replaced it with my own and theirs was put away wherever the put it (storage area?). A lot of times you’ll get some unknowledgeable younger adults who don’t know what to do and these idiots get away with ripping them off.

They wanted to to use his security deposit and additional 3,000 dollars if they won here to get new renovated bathroom and a brand new couch. And the grandson was probably attending a lot of the parties if not throwing the parties himself!

Those kinds of laws vary greatly by state. In some states it’s doubled (or tripled) before taking deductions, in some states no deductions are taken at all as punishment against the landlord for not following the rules and then it might be doubled or tripled; it just depends. Judge Milian tries to follow the laws of the litigants’ state of residence rather than the state they’re doing the arbitration in (which happens to be the same state in this case, if I’m not mistaken).

I love TPC with Judge Millian but she's done this a couple of times where she calls a witness over the phone. These witnesses should be objected by the plaintiff due to the fact that they're not in court nor have been sworn in to testify. 😮

Military is the reason behind it. They’re taught Emotional Intelligence and have to mask their emotions to mentally tough through their many struggles.. they’re definitely owed much more than they receive.
Not sure I trust either of them. The plaintiff was very quick to deny everything like the defendant. I believed him until he said he didn't leave beer cans around (probably from the people moving him). Come on! Weird case.
