To give thanks in all circumstances. That prayer was very slow in coming. Even though my mood got slightly better my circumstances didn’t improve. I felt isolated. I got a book “Power in praise” by Marlin Corothers so her and there l would say Praise and Thank you Jesus. The more I said that prayer the less l was focusing on my mood . I started to feel uplifted and saying praise and thank you became a joy to say, I started reading the odd psalms and saw life wasn’t easy for King David. He wrote his troubles to God he felt encouraged doing that and faith hope and love for God gave him courage. Thank you Jesus for your healing love.

When 1 move house and had a new baby my friend thought by recommending 1 Thessalonians 5 verse 16 l would be encouraged. I was suffering with depression at time and even though felt l should be rejoicing l wasn’t. I eventually said a prayer that comforted me. “Lord l offer myself to you, to build with me and use me as you will. Relieve me of the bondage of myself so that victory over them may bear witness to your love, your power and your way of life.
I think if l have the habit of saying and meaning “Thank and praise you Jesus “ when things are going well. Lord if things are more difficult please may I remember to say “Thank and praise Jesus because you will bring good out of that circumstance. Help me trust your wisdom and kindness.
