Lovely homily as usual. But Father why omit to say the church allows to nullify a marriage? Which of course is not a divorce but invalid to begin with.
There are of course those who have been in such marriages where the abusive partner would be only to glad to never have their victim be released from their promise to God. Forever their prisoner, even in a speration. But God in His Mercy allows this. Because some marriages are a lie to begin with.
Not all marriages are made in heaven.
