Beautiful sermon! Yes without Our Heavenly Mum we cannot be Saints! We need Her help to guide us in the way of goodness and Holiness! Dear Fr. Patrick you are right the word Love is constantly misused!! Lust is called Love at times by some!! LOVE ❤️ requires sacrifice so so so often!! Dear Heavenly Mother Blessed Virgin Mary teach us to Love like we really should. Dear Jesus we pray to Love Our Heavenly Mother like you do! Guide us, your Church to HIGHER AND SAFER GROUND! SAINT JOSEPH greatest Saint ever pray for us! Amen 🙏

Good point. Compartmentalization is a part of the problem. Grace is all or nothing. But even still, some days it seems my stubborness is greater than God's goodness. So, when I wanted to stop eating in a way that would do me in more quickly than nature herself, I started with the goal of saying yes to one thing a day because it was good for me and no to one thing a day because it was bad for me. At the end of each day, I'd do a little self-examination for accountability. Thank you, St Ignatius. I also stay hydrated better. For years I thought I was a major ars...excessively irritable. Turns out, I was just chronically dehydrated. Anyways, it's startling how learning to take care of one thing can lead to taking care of many things. Which is to say this practice had knock on effects in other areas of my life, too.

I constantly tell my family and especially my husband that if they/he watch the “Fake News” So often it is exaggerated and made seen out of proportion and lies are there really really galore!! (Fake news: President Trump expression) they/he will constantly be negative! We even argue! At least after years I convinced my husband not to have Newspapers in the house! Focusing on the good and the beautiful! Watching the news is the worst thing ever! Our Lady in Medjugorje says pray for Peace in the world and Peace in Our Families and Peace in our Hearts! Our Energy should be spent in obedience to Our Heavenly Mother not sensationalism! PRAYER lots of Prayers that is positive and needed!!

In Saint Laurence in Cambridge UK on Saturdays we smell bacon whilst we are having the Eucharist! So irreverent!! Incredible!! Yes Our Lord is the Important one!! Bacon 🥓 butties straight after Communion in our Church building!! Yes what about the youngsters doing Bible Study and visiting the sick! And perhaps later a game of football! But more time in serving and worshipping and adoring Our Beautiful Saviour Jesus Christ and SPREADING THE GOSPEL!!

Very wonderful, homily, thank you Father Patrick and HFM. It is funny that we need to be reminded to act on Faith sometimes. We get so afraid of uncertainty or not doing what God wants us to do exactly, that we end up frozen, but just that demonstration of willingness on our part shows Him we are ready and willing for Him to intervene and receive, as Father Patrick says. Trust in the Lord and act with an open heart! He will guide you.

In all circumstances give thanks to God. There is great power in praising God, it takes the focus off ourselves and onto God. I learnt about praising God when l was baptised in the Holy Spirit after the life in the Spirit seminar.
