Gen X here. I grew up in the 70s and 80s and I wanted a Gunne Sax dress more than anything. I finally got an original from the 1970s and wore it when I got married (I did need to alter it a bit). I still would like to make another dress in that style, but using my quilting scraps to make it in a patchwork style. Loved seeing this dress, and seeing it made with salvaged material. 😊 Edit to note that I did have dwarf hamsters, and they are the best pets (granted, I was an adult when I got one). They can be very affectionate and sweet, and they’re so tiny and soft.

Oooh a quilting scrape Patchwork one would be an amazing project! I’d love to see it if you ever do make it! And thanks so much for watching. I want to make a wedding dress style one next when I get a chance and find the right material 🥰
Aww yes dwarf hamsters are soo soft maybe when my son is old enough to handle taking care of one I’ll let him get one and relive the memories haha.

I had a very similar dress as an 10 year old in 1973.

Oh how nice! I grew up in the 90s and we def didn’t dress like this. Always shorts and a tshirt or a holiday dress that was poofy haha

Being good at maths... Well that explains the dead accuracy of the centred lace and ribbon placement done by eye!
